TooSerious
For those who take it way too seriously
[span style='font-size: 16px;]WOY WOY WIZARDS
We all know the story of Woy Woy. In the summer of 2012 they drafted a plethora of 'premium' players on the back of their 2010 form - dismissing their scores of 2011 as an aberration. 11 of those players drafted at the time were 29 plus years of age; 3 remain in the sport today. That's a fair amount of mandated list churn.
I mention this because at present Woy Woy has 12 players over the age of 29 on its list. If the trend I outlined above holds that a turnover of 4 players a year simply on retirements alone. When coupled with the Wizards drafting of 2013 - when they drafted just one player in Whitfield under the age of 24, you're left with a simple conclusion.
If Woy Woy don't start getting a better (and younger) drafting strike rate, they'll be replacing a Chapman with a Milera. Which isn't going to get you into in the 8, little loan a shot at a flag.
COMPOUNDING ISSUES
Trade currency. Human capital. Call it what you will, it's a thing and a dynamic/relative one at that. Some teams need points, some need youth, some need both. At present I'd surmise that those teams seriously challenging for a premiership have there fill of pointy midfielders, and those teams outside the bracket and on the rise probably would be hesitant to take on/pay top dollar for a mid who may retire in 2 years. Sure there was a time when you could trade a Kerr for a Shiel; those days are well over now.
Woy Woy has 4 midfielders over the age of 29, averaging from 88 to 115ppg. While Montangna (avg. 115) would probably fetch the highest price, I just can't see any teams willing to part with even a late R1 pick for him.

FWD's market value on the other hand is a different story. With Hodge (D, 97) seemingly untradeable,...

Premier League
Things are getting very interesting in the Premier League with six teams with a record of 5-6 with 5 rounds remaining. There are going to lots of crucial matchups coming up which will impact on the final playoff spots.
King of Karlos (9-2) 1565 defeated Feel the Love (5-6) 1276
Karlos handed out a smashing to Feel the Love this round and this matchup was over very early in the round. Games played were 43-41 in favour of Feel the Love. Karlos is sitting pretty at the top of the table and his team is firing on all cylinders. Once again Durant was the best with 237/4, followed by Griffin (203/3) and Duncan (155/3). Feel the Love is now in a six way battle to claim one of the last remaining spots in the finals. This week they were best served by Love (176/4), Dragic (170/4) and Lee (129/3).
Anthak (5-6) 1427 defeated Too Seriouseses (5-6) 1417
This was the closest match in the Premier League this round and it was a must win match for Anthak to keep in the hunt for the last remaining spots in the finals. Thanks to junk time in the Kings/Cavs game, Anthak was able to hold on and get the win. Games played were 43-40 in favour of Anthak. Carmelo led the way for Anthak with (176/3), next best were Calderon (161/4) and Iggy (126/3). Walesy is also one of the teams in the hunt for the last few final spots and this week his best players were Gay (176/3), IT2 (152/3) and Meeks (112/3).
Wade Machine (8-3) 1438 defeated Jasmine's Mob (1-10) 1048
Jasmine's season went from bad to worse this round with the news that Holiday is probably out for the remainder of the season. Nothing has gone right for her this season. This round Wade Machine handed out another loss to Jasmine. Games played were 37-33 in favour of Wade Machine. Dirk turned back the clock this week with (217/4), followed by Jordan (174/3) and MCW (171/4). This week Jasmine's best players were...

We are a quarter of the way through our initial ORFFU draft and, to keep all TS'ers updated, we've decided to do another summary. With the success of ORFFL and ORFFA, we are hoping ORFFU reaches the same heights. Let's take over TS guys!
I won't write a summary on every player (will be far too long for you guys to read), so I'll list each player selected and will write a little summary under a few interesting selections.
ROUND 2:

<p style='line-height: 12pt;]Pick 19 Ararat (Insider) - Will Minson
<p style='line-height: 12pt;]Pick 20 Coolgardie (JPK) - Jaegar O'Meara
<p style='line-height: 12pt;]The first major surprise in the draft was here when JPK picked up Jaegar early. I'm sure many of us thought he'd last until the 6th or 7th rounds so we had to cross him off our list. Will be a gun for a long time; perfect for this keepers league.
<p style='line-height: 12pt;]Pick 21 Pearcedale (TTT) - Matthew Kreuzer
<p style='line-height: 12pt;]Pick 22 Christmas Island (Damo) - Charlie Dixon

Feel the Love (5-5) 1509 defeated Too Seriouseses (5-5) 1305
Feel the Love were able to claim back to back wins for the first time this season with a solid win over Walesy. Games played were 45-44 in favour of Feel the Love. David Lee is on fire at the moment and he led the way with (223/4) followed by Love (182/3) and Dragic (172/3). The best players for Walesy this round were George (152/4), Hibbert (134/3) and IT3 (131/3). Both teams now have a record of 5-5 and will be looking to get more wins on the board to claim one of the last few final spots remaining.
Ruddy's Cavaliers (3-7) 1417 defeated Anthak (4-6) 1290
After a slow start to the season, the Cavaliers are starting to hit form. They were unlucky to lose last week and were able to bounce back this round with a comfortable win over Anthak. Games played were 43-42 in favour of Anthak. Thad Young is going nuts for the Cavaliers and he was the best this round with (206/3), followed by Wall (191/4) and Al Jefferson (172/4). Anthak was not helped with Bledsoe going down with another injury. This week his leading scorers were Rubio (178/3), Carmelo (156/3) and Rolo (142/4).
King of Karlos (8-2) 1702 defeated Jasmine's Mob (1-9) 1314
Karlos continued on with their winning ways and showed no mercy against Jasmine this round. Jasmine must be thinking what has gone wrong this season as nothing is working in her favour. Games played were 48-43 in favour of Karlos. Once again Durant was the best with (284/4), next best were Lillard (205/4) and Griffin (168/4). Jasmine's best players this round were Wade (170/4), Sideshow Bob (164/4) and Holiday (149/4). It now looks like it is going to take a miracle for Jasmine to avoid relegation to Division One next year.

Feel the Love (4-5) 1358 defeated Ruddy's Cavaliers (2-7) 1340
The Cavaliers were very unlucky not to come away with the win in this matchup considering Feel the Love played 8 more games (44-36). If it was not for Lamb lighting it up in junk time for Feel the Love on the last day then the Cavaliers would have been able to hold on. The leading scorers for Feel the Love were Lee (167/4), Parker (145/4) and Love (142/2). For the Cavaliers, the best players were Al Jefferson (140/3), Afflalo (138/3) and Thad Young (138/2).
Run TMC (5-4) 1148 defeated Anthak (4-5) 1037
Run TMC were able to get the win over Anthak in a low scoring match this round. Games played were 43-37 in favour of Anthak. Run TMC have now won 3 games in a row and are on roll while Anthak is continually searching for right mix for his roster by hitting the FA acquisitions hard. This week Run TMC were best served by LBJ (173/3), Manu (161/3) and Jennings (135/3). Iggy came back into form for Anthak with (131/4), next best were Favors (111/3) and Calderon (109/3).
Too Seriouseses (5-4) 1451 defeated Jasmine's Mob (1-8) 1196
I keep looking at the standings at the end of each week and I look in disbelief to see Jasmine with only one win next to her name. Walesy took no mercy this week and handed out another loss to Jasmine. Games played were 35-33 in favour of Walesy. Uncle Drew led the way for Walesy with (242/4), next best were Bosh (206/4) and IT2 (173/3). This week the leading scorers for Jasmine were Tyreke (174/3), followed by Howard (193/5) and Chalmers (142/4).
King of Karlos (7-2) 1548 defeated Westside Hardcore (6-2) 1508

Despite losing the 'official' AFL contract, the folk down at VirtualSports don't look to be taking it laying down.
Armed with the name DreamTeam, old school rules and no corporate big man holding them down, they'll be opening their doors to the 2014 season as usual.
A quick breakdown of the rules looks as follows:
- Round One will be a full rolling lockout, moving to a Friday night lockout after that (as seen through 2013)
- 30 tradesand a realistic 2014 salary cap of $9.632 million.
- Unlimited DPP moves while trading (Which is bloody awesome! I wonder if it will flow through to SuperCoach)
- A swag of other wacky little things. Read their site, it's a good laugh.
Anyways, should be interesting to see how this plays out. I can definitely see this dividing the audience of the hardcore DT folk, where as there will be other like me, who see this now as a 6th comp to add to the list. nom nom nom. Particularly if they get some decent prizes up for scratch!
