The eagerly anticipated Part 2 of this season's 2nd club-by-club review is here and focuses on Geelong, Gold Coast, GWS, Hawthorn, Melbourne and North Melbourne. All in interesting positions on the ladder and in their development stages. It will be a while until they all fire at the same time.

Short, sharp introduction over. Now let's get stuck in!

[span style='font-size: 13pt; font-weight: bold;]Geelong (13 wins 2 loss)
[span style='font-weight: bold;]SuperCoach SuperStar: Jimmy Bartel (avg 107.53)
[span style='font-weight: bold;]Bolter: Dawson Simpson (avg 90.50)
[span style='font-weight: bold;]Disappointment: Tom Hawkins (avg 71.57)

Arguably the best team of the last 6 years, Geelong has continued it's mostly good form. It turns out, that devastating loss to the Brisbane Lions was a wake-up call for the mighty Cats. From a SC point of view, [span style='font-weight: bold;]Jimmy Bartel has been extremely consistent this season, playing all 15 games thus far, and dropping below the ton on just 4 occasions. He has an outstanding record against most of his upcoming opponents keeping his relevance to the remainder of the season. [span style='font-weight: bold;]Joel Selwood (avg 110.13) has been surprisingly inconsistent this season although his last month has been irresistible. [span style='font-weight: bold;]Stevie Johnson (avg 118.70) probably deserves to be the SuperStar for the Cats but he has missed 5 games this season and will miss another through suspension. That's not what we want. [span style='font-weight: bold;]Dawson Simpson has broken into the team and the behemoth has started off strongly; especially for a top-end rookie price. Twins [span style='font-weight: bold;]Mathew Stokes (avg 97.14) and [span style='font-weight: bold;]Allen Christensen (avg 88.14) have dropped off a little since the last review.

The big Tomahawk” [span style='font-weight: bold;]Tom Hawkins has not been able to replicate his 2012 form, this season....

<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]The last week in Supercoach saw some massive scores around the leagues, even with several popular stars under-performing. This week unfortunately we also need to contend with all the outs, so far Watson, Dangerfield, Stevie J and Pav are all out and several more are still in doubt. With that in mind we've taken a look at some more POD choices this week, and have come up with a couple of good ones.
<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]The Best Buy of the week is ROK, as I'm sure you gathered from the title, who has been in great form recently averaging 125 over his last 3 games and as usual standing up when it counts. A key part of the Swans structures and a previous SC champion O'Keefe is in surprisingly few teams so far, and could provide a great edge for those teams still battling it out for the overall.

Waikikamoocow 1302 d Marble Bar 1098
The pinot was certainly flowing as the Incorrigibles toast another win, this time by just over 200 points over the Misfits of Marble Bar.

A formidable midfield scoring effort from Waikik's Fyfe (108), McVeigh (143), Hannebery (122) and Mitchell (113) saw off any and all challenges from Marble Bar, and allowed the Incorrigibles' forwards to virtually have the weekend off.

For Marble Bar, Jack Steven continues to impress (127) while Thomas Nicholls' (121) selection as number 2 MSD pick continues to be justified. Callan Ward and Jezza Cameron (104 and 102) topped the ton as well.

Lovely Banks 1302 d Venus Bay 1018

Oh boy, the sleeping purple flower has awoken, and is wielding more than just a subtle perfume; the Lilacs' second win for the year an absolute belting of the Vultures 1302-1018.

An injection of new talent via the MSD and the return of injured players have provided the tonic towards two impressive Lilacs' efforts since the mid-season break. A fit and firing Jason Winderlich top scored with 138, and received great support from Swan (126), the Mighty Canadian (118) and Craig Bird's continuing (and rather apt) purple patch of form (111).

Six other players topped 80 for the Lilacs.

Meanwhile, slim pickings for the Carrion Eaters, with Malceski (156) almost a lone hand. Next best were Mundy (119) and Kreuzer (107). Poor Clancee Pearce (27) was unable to play out the game, while the Vultures' forwards had a game they'd rather forget.

Birdsville 1258 d Wagga Wagga 1210

A tight, top notch contest between two top four contenders went down to the wire, with perhaps home ground advantage proving enough for Birdsville to battle to a 48-point win.

Entering the final stages of the contest, scores were close. However a slice of late game dominance from best-afield Chris Mayne (138) with support from Zac Clarke proved too much...
Well, that was quick. Last review was just after Round 8 with all SuperCoaches fearing the then upcoming, bye rounds. Now, they've come and gone and we are sitting just after Round 16 with the SuperCoach finals just around the corner. Who's excited?

The most recent portion of the season has seen the two top teams run away from the competition while the fight for 8th spot is spicing up. Port Adelaide, Carlton, West Coast and Adelaide (in that order) are the ones who are the most realistic chance of making the finals. The make-up of the top 4 is also interesting with Essendon, Sydney and Fremantle fighting for a double-chance. Collingwood and Richmond seem content with their likely elimination finals. We have also seen some star SC players miss games, underperform and lose their ways. Equally, we have seen some players play out of their skins and stars like Pendlebury keep on keeping on.

Now, just to rehash, each club will have 3 categories; a [span style='font-weight: bold;]SuperCoach SuperStar (not necessarily the leading scorer but the player that has been the most consistent and high scoring), a [span style='font-weight: bold;]Bolter (player scoring better than most would have thought) and a [span style='font-weight: bold;]Disappointment (someone who hasn't come on as well as we would have liked). Each player listed in these categories will have their season averages alongside them however the category in which they are placed in, represents their form since the last review.

Now that we have gone through everything, let's get started.

<p style='line-height: 13pt;][span style='font-size: 13pt; font-weight: bold;]Adelaide (6 wins 9 losses)

[span style='font-weight: bold;]Bolter: Richard Douglas (avg 104.67)
[span style='font-weight: bold;]Disappointment: Scott Thompson (avg 98.47)

Adelaide have been one of the disappointments...

Collingwood vs Adelaide

Result: Collingwood by 27

Boy, the Crows came out strong in the first quarter, kicking the first 4 goals of the match. After that though, Collingwood certainly stepped up. Helped of course with some strong inaccuracy in front of goal.

That said, Collingwood weren't much better in accuracy, particularlt Travis '2.5' Cloke, but I dunno, had the Crows nailed their goals early... I dunno, if's and buts and all that.

Regardless, how good was Scott Pendlebury, who managed a career high 42 touches, 3 brownlow votes and 153SC. Was a great game. Luke Ball and Dane Swan were the only other Pies to crack the ton, but were prominent with a 129SC and a 126SC respectively.

Dayne Beams played his first game for the year, and despite being out on his feet, finished the game on 25 touches and an 88SC. Hoping for a few more games like that though so that he can lower his price for next year! On 85SC was Steele Sidebottom who I thought needed a...
