TooSerious
For those who take it way too seriously
In the first half of the season our best score has been 2,324 points in round 5. Our best weekly ranking has been 8,300 in round 8. Our best overall ranking has been 25,432 in round 10. To this stage we've now got 25,015 points for the season, not a poor effort, but not close to the high standards we set ourselves at the start of the year.
Back to our round 11, where we got 1,616 points, on the back of the following team:
Backmen:
Goddard 97
Heppell 108
Terlich 88
Dixon 50
Thurlow 72
Webster 24
Midfielders:
Ablett 153
Pendlebury 132 Captain 264
Kennedy 86
Dangerfield 97
O'Meara 90
Crouch 46
Rucks:
Cox 132
Forwards:
Johnson 111
Macaffer 89
Naitanui 109
That was 16 scoring players, with 14 on the bench. The JJ Kennedy late out hurt us, as did Lonergan, Rowe, and Currie not playing. The only potential points we missed was through captain selection, taking the punt on Pendles to tear the Dees a new one, which he didn't quite do, falling 21 points short of Permacap!
Onto round 12, where we scored 1949 points for the week, on the back of the following:
Backmen:
Goddard 129
Heppell 90
Hanley 91
Lester 75
Midfielders:
Ablett 147
Pendlebury 145 Captain 290
Dangerfield 150
Cotchin 103
O'Meara 116
Goodes 90
Vlastuin 79
Martin 80
Ruckmen:
Rowe 55
Nicholls 76
Forwards:
Westhoff 91
Rockliff 90
Franklin 124
Zorko 73
Not Used:
Staker 53
Macaffer 39
We managed 20 scoring players in round 12, with Staker and Macaffer being dropped from the 18. Again we tried the loophole with Pendles, hoping that he'd outscore Gazza. He missed again, but this time by only two points, and he was only 5 points short of our top scorer in Dangerfield, so only a couple of points missed out here.
Thus far over the byes we've dropped Gawn, Lonergan, and Terlich. We've replaced them with Nicholls, Martin, and Hanley. Rather hard to tell the immediate...

Apols again for the date mixup everyone. The good news is that if you haven't delisted players and would dearly like to participate in the draft, you still can! You have until 7pm AEST, Tuesday 18th June to post them in this here thread. Don't PM them to me, as I won't be able to get them out to the masses most likely.
Attached is a FA spreadsheet with all the available FA's and their scores for the year (the delis tees from ORFFL clubs are marked in red). If there are scores missing from Rounds 11-12 for a particular player, it's because that player is fantasy irrelevant even for a bottom feeding competition such as the ORFFL, and I am the one you should point the finger at for their omissions. If there is a score missing for any of the previous rounds, that's on J-Dog, although this outcome is highly unlikely.

Result: Hawthorn by 15
It was a tough night at the office for the Blues, with Hawthorn coming out of
the blocks and getting away to an early lead. They were able to claw that back
though, powering through the second quarter to carry momentum, and an 11 point
lead into the main change.
However, they also lost Marc Murphy to what turned out to be a broken jaw.
Still, they were vallant, keeping the game alive to the very end, where the
Hawks ran out 15 point winners.
Bryce Gibbs was very good, picking up 28 disposals for a 132SC, while #Judd|
C|CAR carried as hard as he could in his 250th game, with 29 touches and
128SC. Brock McLean was also promenent with 34 disposals and 122SC.
Jaryd CACHIA did a fine job, picking up 83SC off 22 touches, while #Rowe|S|
CAR did enough for his price with 9 touches and 6 hitouts for a 55SC.
Marc Murphy as mentioned early, was subbed out in the second with just 6
touches and 22SC. Makes for an easy trade out this week for any of his coaches
for mine.

G'day TSer's, onto another week of asking the wider TS community to provide some input and vote on their preferred options to include in the W2SP Punters Club combined club footy multi bets this week.
To recap on last week's article, what the club is looking for here is for anyone within the TS community to provide what they would consider their best footy bet of the week in the comments below.
Your tip could be just a single selection, or it could be a complete multi bet, it's up to you - there is no limit to what particular market you're tip comes from (head-to-head, line bets, pick your own line, first goal-kicker, 1st goal-kicker from particular club, margin, etc), the choice is yours what bet you post in the comments. Just one thing with that though, the club is restricted to betting through Luxbet, therefore we can only actually bet on markets they rovide.
One thing we would like to see though is for each individual tip (or complete multi) to be posted in a separate comment - so if you have a few tips could you please post each one individually (except if you're suggesting a complete multi bet). This will make it much easier for others to vote on and for me to collate all votes on Friday arvo to work out the most popular selections to include in the club multi's.
What we will be aiming to do is place 3 multi bets with outlays of $20, $15 and $10 - then look at investing the final $5 on a few 1st goal-kicker multi's (if we strike the right 1st GK multi it could mean a BIG payout even for a single dollar outlay!!!
Last week (which was our first effort using this format) we ended up 3 main multi bets plus 4 1st goal-kicker doubles (unfortunately we couldn't include the popular option of Cloke 1st GK or even Milne as Lux didn't have the 1st GK markets up for those 2 games on Friday evening when the bets were placed in time for the Bombers v Blues game).
Here's a snapshot of what last week's bets were:
Bet #1 - Ess @ the line...

So, we're pretty much half way through the season, which from mine, makes it a good time to take a closer look at how clubs have been using their green vests and which ones have been screwing us the most with their late outs.
Taking a closer look, we can see that St. Kilda has been the biggest offender, with 8 late outs over the season, followed closely by the GWS on 6.
Fremantle and Hawthorn also get a dishonorable mention with 5 late outs each.
On the Green vest front, we can see that until the recent effort from Hams, that Essendon were spreading the load with a different sub each week. At the opposite end of the spectrum was Fremantle, using Cameron Sutcliffe 5 times with 5 different subs and Port Adelaide killing us coaches with Kane Mitchell getting the vest 5 times.
Along with Essendon, we can also see that Geelong are using their subs to rest a few players with Christensen, Stokes and Duncan all getting the lighter load as the season progressed.
Anyways, full data is after these few words from Heineken.

<p style='margin-bottom: 0px; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal;]Well Heineken would like to find out in their new YouTube series - DROPPED.

<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]Only six games this week, but boy, was there some quality. Essendon's come back, GWS showing a bit, the Suns were fantastic and another doozy of a win for the Eagles.
<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]And then there was the donuts. Well, for me anyways- those late outs ruining the planning of a thousand coaches!
<p style='font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px;]Essendon vs Carlton
Result: Essendon by 5.
It started a good day for the Bombers, but quickly started to get away from them as Carlton put on 8 goals to just 1. Funnily enough though, the Bombers have come back from a 6 goal deficit a number of times this year, this time, kicking 7 goals to 1 from the mid point of the 3rd quarter to run out 5 point victors.
Top scoring for the game, and backing up his 150 from last week- after threatening to miss, was Andrew Walker who picked up 28 disposals at a massive 89% disposal efficiency for a massive 140SC. Jarrad Waite had an absolute day out of the bag, kicking 7 goals off 19 touches for a 133SC. Bryce Gibbs, Marc Murphy and Kade Simpson all played their parts, with scores of 119SC, 118SC and 117SC respectively.
Mitch Robinson continues to mark himself as a bargain next year, being subbed out for just 43SC....
