More from the mind of TigersTooTough

It's time for part 2 where I'll be covering 2 of the best teams in the last five years, 2 of the worst and North Melbourne and Gold Coast. Differing starts to their seasons have meant fluctuating SC scores between each of these teams but there are certainly some players that have impressed and some that haven't.

Let's get stuck in!

Geelong (7 wins 1 loss)

SuperCoach SuperStar: Steve Johnson (avg 115.20)

Bolter: Mathew Stokes (avg 100.62)

Disappointment: Tom Hawkins (avg 74.71)

The Cats have been supreme with their only blemish coming this past round against Collingwood. Steve Johnson has only played 5 games but his class has shone through in each of his performances. He has been consistently brilliant however injuries seem to be playing a bit of a part in his season. Jimmy Bartel (avg 109.38) has also been very consistent and is proving those who thought he was over the hill&amp;rdquo;, wrong. Joel Selwood (avg 109.75) has been up and down but is a star who will get better as the season goes on. Mathew Stokes has broken out this season and is proving to be the real deal. His doppelganger Allan CHRISTENSEN (avg 89.75) has impressed as well.

Tom Hawkins has proved to be a waste of money but at such a low price at the moment, he may be worth a punt. His back has caused him problems in recent times so watch him over the next few weeks. It was though that <a href="http://tooserious.net/Player.aspx?id=867&name=Mitch DUNCAN">Mitch...

Nic Nat has been in good form since his return from injury and booted the match-winner last week to grab himself a very nice score, and is at a cheaper price than he started. The ruck/forward will be a very popular target this week, and for good reason.

For the coaches that couldn't resist the lure of Buddy against the Giants last week and brought him in over Priddis, planning on nabbing Priddis this week instead, that's a $35,900 difference right there. Buddy did score 2 points more over the weekend however, and I'm not saying that it wasn't a risk worth taking, merely pointing out the cost. In this game it seems that these are the decisions that will make or break a team, the ones that need to made each and every week.

The third and final part of the club-by-club review is here and again, there have been some interesting results in the below teams. Port Adelaide started the season off really well however, they have cooled off in recent times. Some of their players have accurately reflected this form. Each team has a couple of outstanding players that score well no matter what the situation however there are some interesting SuperStars and Disappointments that have come up from the below teams.

Port Adelaide (5 wins 3 losses)

SuperCoach SuperStar: Kane Cornes (avg 120)

Bolter: Chad Wingard (avg 97.50)

Disappointment: Hamish Hartlett (avg 90.25)

It is amazing that a player like Kane Cornes, has been able to start the season off this well. It is a testament to having a positive attitude and working hard. He is a real leader and provided good support for Travis Boak (avg 105.25), who has also been outstanding. Chad Wingard has taken off out of nowhere and I will be interested to see whether he can maintain his great start. Angus Monfries (avg 92.88) has performed well since moving from Essendon in the off-season. A special mention to Quadzilla&amp;rdquo; Oliver...

Now some people may have read that introduction as though I'm complaining, as though I'm bitter, or upset&amp;hellip; Far from It! I enjoy looking after the donor team, and I enjoy writing about our trials and tribulations each week. I also enjoy being part of this site, part of a community that comes together and shares their individual knowledge and love of all things SuperCoach (and DT, and Stadium Sport, and Big Bash, and, and, and&amp;hellip;). I also know for sure that each of the people who contribute articles to TS enjoy doing so just as much (maybe more) than I do - that's why they do it, each and every week, to help people out. You can see the effort that goes into these articles, simply by reading through them and taking in the detail of the analysis, and the willingness to share. Yes, it is true, we're only talking about fantasy football here, its not as though we're curing cancer or helping the needy. What I see every time I come onto this site is more than just someone's detailed thoughts about the weekends footy, I see a community full of people willing to share and help and contribute. It makes me feel good knowing that if people like that exist here on TS, then people like that can exist out in the real world, trying to cure cancer, trying to help the needy, trying to make a difference, trying to be the small glimmer of hope when all hope seems lost.

I don't wish to sound like I'm preaching, I just think that its worth taking the time sometimes to show your appreciation for the things around you. As such, I'd like everyone who contributes to this site to know that I appreciate the time and effort that goes into sharing their thoughts and knowledge. Just as I appreciate the true hero's in the wider community, the ones who share their knowledge and abilities to the betterment of those around them.

And with that I can come back around to the donor team, and thanking the contributions of all the donors who take the...
Regular TS contributor,[span style='font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 18px; background-color: #ffffff; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;]TigersTooToughtakes a retrospective look at the season so far. Love ya work.

A third of the way through the AFL season and SuperCoach has already provided some obstacles for the serious player. Carnage in defence has struck over the past 3 weeks while our premium midfielders have had some low scores. In an AFL sense, Hawthorn and Geelong have been supreme while GWS and Melbourne have stunk it up. This is accurately reflected in SC scoring too. This isn't the case with all clubs. West Coast has had an indifferent start but have had some solid scorers while the same can be said for North Melbourne. How has each club really fared so far this season SuperCoach wise and which players have reflected their clubs? That's what I'll be trying to work through here.

Part 1 will review Adelaide, Brisbane, Carlton, Collingwood, Essendon and Fremantle and there will be the rest of the competition spread over the next couple of days. Each club has aSuperCoach SuperStar(not necessarily the leading scorer but the player that has been the most consistent and high scoring), aBolter(player scoring better than most would have thought) and aDisappointment(someone who hasn't come on as well as we would have liked).I'll be doing one of these reviews after every third&amp;rdquo; of the season to show who is the real deal and who may not be. For now, let's jump in!

Adelaide (4 wins 4 losses)
SuperCoach SuperStar:Scott Thompson (avg 108.63)
Bolter:Richard Douglas (avg 106.63)
Disappointment:Taylor Walker (avg 69.2)

All serious SuperCoaches will have that gut feel on a spread of players they feel may break out. I had about 7 or 8 on my mind. I selected a few of them in my squad. Some have paid off well, while others have just spudded...
