Coinciding withweek 2 of Supercoach Finals in round 21 the League vs League competition Semi Finals saw Meat Pies defeat Top Score and the Platinum League defeat Seriously Fun! So what we started with a roll call of the top leagues as at round 17 nears it's conclusion for another year, the hysteria of GF week commences and the engravers get ready to insert a new league name underneath the NBA Crew's entry as 2011 League vs League Champions.

For the third week in succession the Meat Pies scored the highest aggregate score for the round. They narrowly missed smashing the all-time winning margin record for the third consecutive week (they have the top 3 margins by a long way) and have demonstrated that they not only want to WIN the comp but to annihilate any league who dares to stands in their way.

Their 3 best this week were That'swattsshesaid (2611), Snotties (2601) and Team stripey (2563). The bottom 2 in their league on overall points smashed scores of 2300 plus (2346 by Fleagles and 2438 by Fanspastics) so once again they have no weak links going into the grand final.

Team Stripey and That'sWattsshesaid received their 2nd mention in the top 3 and wil most likely vie for the Meat Pies League vs League MVP this year, both said to be fired up to produce another massive effort when it counts most (kind of like the anti Leon Davis !)

Hi all,

If you're in a smoking TS league at the moment, best let us know because we are looking to start the draw for the knockout rounds of the competition.

Can you make the Pinewarmers warm the Pine once again? If so, get your entry in. If we get enough entries below the lines, we may also do Minor Premierships (and the most Minor for those leagues ranked in 37+) for those leagues that have saved up all their arsenal for the finals and kept their powder dry. It could be the only thing that Group W wins all season, so I think that is worth undertaking.

Leagues that I would want an update from specifically would be: the Platinum League (or are they too afraid to show their face around here) and TS Game On, who I'd think should be in the running. I do believe there is a TS Ladies League running, which would also be good to hear from. In all of this, it's not a slight on individuals if your league is tanking. There are plenty of great leagues out there with one dominant team who will no doubt get their comeuppance in the finals.

At the moment it appears that there are entries that are almost tied in terms of overall, it's that close between entries 133 to 141. 2059 average for each league, which means 2 make the comp and 2 miss out!

Hi all, just posting on a message from TTH (The Tassie Hawk). All comments are from TTH, apart from in brackets where I couldn't resist...
2012 League vs. League Comp – The Round 18 Playoff
It’s that time of year when some of us are struggling and completely fed up with Supercoach, Ross Lyin’ et al and for others the year is starting to get exciting. (And that's with Jacobs playing most weeks...sigh)
It’s also the time of year that the League vs. League Challenge is set to start. Make no mistake this is a coveted title, not quite up with Olympic Gold but give it time as it is only in its second year.
In Round 18 we have a standalone match – as the DEFENDING CHAMPS – the NBA Crew – have exercised the right to challenge the 16th ranked league – Ucant Be TS for the final spot in the main draw which commences next week.
Match Preview over the break...

The NBA Crew are a passionate – some would say obsessive – bunch of fantasy sport nuts, be sure that if you start up or promote a fantasy sport comp hereon TS a few of them will probably join – they include Anthak, Underachievers, Owen, Stowie, Steve etc (add as many others as you want) – a distinguished crew indeed !!
The Champs have been gloating all year about how they want to go back to back. It’s worth reminding everyone that this was the championship that almost didn’t happen after narrowly defeating the Premier League by 79pts and Donor Kebabs (TS’s best ranked league in 2011) by 126pts in the early rounds last year they then went about annihilating (I almost said decimating but have been well educated by Chels in recent times) the Superleague and Tin-Lids by over 1200 each in the Semis and Grand Final, thus adding their names collectively to the esteemed honour roll of TS high achievers.
After placing in the top 100 leagues overall through to round 10 in 2012 they have slid back to #118 after Round 17...

Hi all - first post in a while, and it's to bring your attention to what was a brilliant competition from last season - the League vs League knockout championships.
If you've got a TooSerious League, we want to know where you are in the rankings, so we can enjoy this competition and to cheer everyone on through the
I'll give you the basics here, then over the break, you can read a more detailed statement from our good mate The Tassie Hawk!

League vs League will be 16 teams from round 19 to 22 knockout.

Yes, that's right, round 22, so we don't lose this competition in the wake of all the other grand finals

We need current league rankings and the league average scores provided to confirm a league entry in the competition

Higher ranked teams will get a seeded ranking - 1 v 16 - but with a twist. Because likely league 1 burned and league 16 saved trades, we will give a small advantage to better leagues - in line with their current league performance averages. It just means if the General badly strikes these leagues, they have a little more security (and because many great leagues were turfed last year by lurker leagues haha!)

TTH will explain the rest.... so get entering ladies and gents~!
