For those who take it way too seriously

Sunderland v Chelsea 1-3

After a torrid time, Torres has found his scoring touch again. He scored another brace here after his midweek European double, he also grabbed an assist for Mata's goal. Hazard and Ramires with the other assists. Torres surprised us all by taking and scoring his team's penalty, his first in English football.

Azpilicueta dropped to the bench while Moses - who's put in some excellent performances - may well have climbed ahead of Oscar in the pecking order. Lampard made his return for the last 10mins.

Adam Johnson scored Sunderland's goal as Sess owners look on jealously. Reading at home approaches on Wed morning.

Southampton v Reading 1-0

The other DGW'ers Reading were poor and well beaten here. It was two budget priced Saints who did the damage, Clyne assisting for Puncheon's goal.

Rodriguez got a rare start as Ramirez sat on the bench, although Ramirez came on at 40mins to replace the injured Lallana. Davis was in goals with Boruc on the bench. Saints now have a free week.

Tabb was probably Reading's best performer in a display that'll need to be bettered at Sunderland midweek. McAnuff, Robson-Kanu, Le Fondre and Roberts all failed to impress, although Robson-Kanu hit the post. Sean Morrison came off injured and this might bring Gorkss back into play.

Arsenal v WBA 2-0

Three straight losses now for West Brom who lost Ridgewell to injury after 6mins. In truth, WBA were a bit toothless. Foster wasn't quite ready to return.

Arteta scored both Arsenal goals from the penalty spot. One of them after a Cazorla dive. Walcott missed with injury while Podolski was only fit enough for the bench.

Everton v Spurs 2-1

An outstanding comeback from The Toffeemen with two injury time goals. Pienaar scored a majestic header against his old team while Jelavic ended his dry spell. Coleman and Vellios with the assists. I brought Fellaini back in this week so a dry spell may...

#2 Canton Bullldogs (125) lead #6 Welcome Back Mr Wallace (95)

Both semi final leaders this week had one standout player who went a long way in helping to create a decent lead for their teams. For the bullldogs it was Marshawn Lynch(30) who ran for over 120 yards but more importantly had 3 TD's in the Seahawks drubbing of Arizona. Beast mode no doubt and with a handy 30 point lead going into week 2 it will be difficult for Mr Wallace to make up the deficit. Vincent Jackson(19) has really found his feet in Tampa Bay, Flacco(15) was ok in a losing Ravens outfit while Peyton Manning(14) is right up there in MVP territory. With all of these guys firing and Nicks(12) having a solid game as well the bullldogs will be looking for more of the same in week 2 of this semi final. Although trailing by 30 Mr Wallace still has plenty of room for improvement next week with the likes of Spiller(4), CJ2K(5) and Jimmy Graham(5) all able to punch out scores in the mid teens or higher. Russell Wilson(8) left it all up to his Seahawks d/st to do the damage which didn't help the cause of Mr Wallace. Brandon Marshall(22) had another day out for Mr Wallace and is one of the best WR's in the NFL. He was backed up by the Browns d/st(16), Palmer(14) and Reggie Wayne(12) who has found a new fire in the belly with rookie QB Luck tossing it his way a lot of the time down in Indianapolis. No doubt this margin will be hard to overcome but with the talent at his disposal Mr Wallace can't be written off.

Best of luck to both teams in week 2.

#1 Team Stowie(144) lead #5 Waito's Warriors(126)

After a few pre-game nerves and worries about injuries Team Stowie came out and scored a huge 144 points and in a high scoring and entertaining encounter and the Warriors were able to go toe to toe and score a very impressive 126 themselves. An 18 point lead, although very handy, will not be enough for the...
Melbourne Renegades vs Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars 167/5 (20/20 ov); Melbourne Renegades 168/2 (18.2/20 ov)

Melbourne Renegades won by 8 wickets

The Stars with their great batting depth batted first and got a solid start thanks to contributions from Wright, Hodge and Dave Hussey. The night however belonged to the unfavoured Renegades who managed to account for the Stars total of 167 easily thanks to an absolutely dominating batting display from Aaron Finch.

Finch got his first T20 century with 111 runs at a strike rate of 170. He even managed to to get an unlikely wicket and a catch in the field to cap of an amazing. Youd be loving his 163pts if you put him as captain. How good a sight was it seeing him smack Warne all over the place? :D

For the Stars, Wright scored 53pts from his batting whilst Hodge got 60pts thanks to his quick 28 and having a catch. Dave Hussey also managed 54pts.

Aaron OBrien for the Renegades was the only bowler with multiple wickets, getting himself 52pt and Ben Rohrer managed a cameo next to Finch getting to 34 and getting the strike rate bonus. It was disappointing from the Stars bowlers, Warne who got a duck with his horrible figures and Faulkner wasnt very tight although he got a wicket.

Legends: Finch, Hodge, Wright, Hussey, Rohrer, OBrien

Bunnies: Warne, Quiney, Rimmington, Nevill, Harris

Sydney Sixers vs Sydney Thunder

Sydney Thunder 143/5 (20/20 ov); Sydney Sixers 147/3 (18.4/20 ov)

Sydney Sixers won by 7 wickets

The defending champions sent in the Thunder to bat, confident about their ability to chase. The Thunders top order was never settled and tight bowling and wickets to Starc and Feldman slowed the run rate down a lot until late in the innings when keeper Ryan Carters and Sean Abbot opened up.

Despite a duck from the popular Warner (-20pts!), the Sixers...

Last year, we all struggled with the byes.

Horribly horribly struggled with a guaranteed two donuts over the period.

This year, not such a problem with the latest change.
<!--more-->
This year, rather than just giving us 3 trades to deal, in addition to the 3 trades, they are also making it so that the top 18 players for your team that week score.

Does this mean that youll be able to roll all 10 of your mids in a single week if they are all playing? From the wording it sounds like they will.

Regardless though, what it is doing is giving us a lot more flexibility over the bye week. We no longer need to balance our team per-position over the byes, just week by week!
I don’t have much time this week so I will get straight in the review for Round 5.

As usual I will do the review for the Premier League, Stowie will do the review for Division One and Rev will do the review for Division Two

PLAYOFF MATCHUP PREVIEWS

Lilydale Leather Heads (6-6-1) at Jimbos Juggernaut (10-3)

Some solid drafting sees Jimbos Juggernaut, who had the 10th overall pick, finishing the season with the best record. Only playing once during the season it was Jimbos Juggernaut humiliating the Lilydale Leather Heads 116 to 57 in Week 3. Lilydale Leather Heads will be hoping Drew Brees can bounce back from shocker and lead them to victory here, while Jimbos Juggernaut would love to have Percy Harvin available as theyre quite short at WR without him.

Show Me Ya TDs (8-5) at Vicks Dog Fighters (8-5)

Riding a league best 6 game winning streak, Show Me Ya TDs would like a repeat of their Week 13 effort in the playoffs. Show Me Ya TDs got up by twelve in the final game of the season, but Vicks Dog Fighters picked up an eight point win in Week 5. 1st overall pick Arian Foster has been super consistant for Vicks Dog Fighters with only one game under 10fpts while Show Me Ya TDs has relied on rookies Doug Martin, Trent Richardson and RGIII and will hoping the rookie wall can be broken.

Liverpool v Southampton 1-0

I brought in Enrique and Suarez this week so three things were inevitable. Enrique would be moved back to LB, Suarez wouldn’t score but he would get booked which means a one match ban.

However, Enrique did still get his clean sheet and Suarez’s ban is away at West Ham which frees him up for the home games against porous Villa and Fulham defences.

Johnson – who was again excellent getting forward – set up Agger’s goal. Lucas returned after 3mths out, and this could positively impact on Gerrard’s returns.

Downing was left out after showing he’s not a LB either in the game @ Spurs while Wisdom also sat on the bench.

Southampton didn’t really show much going forward apart from a couple of speculative efforts from Scouser Lambert. A free week in GW17 looms for the Saints.

Fulham v Spurs 0-3

Fulham continue to leak goals at an alarming rate. Defoe x2 and Sandro did the damage for Spurs who are on a bit of a run just now.

Dawson went off injured with Gallas replacing him, Bale also went off after going Ping. On the plus side the excellent Dembele got more game time and Caulker also returned to the starting line-up. Dempsey and Bale’s replacement Sigu grabbed an assist each.

West Ham v Chelsea 3-1

Things do not look good for Chelsea as they capitulated in the second half. Azpilicueta continues at RB while the magnificent Mata was restored to the starting line-up and made a mockery of those fools who *ahem* traded him out this week.

Moses started and was good while Oscar and Marin came off the bench and expect rotation from now on between Mata, Hazard (who was a passenger in this game), Oscar, Marin, Moses and even Bertrand apparently for the three spots behind a woeful Torres.

Just not sold on any of the bowlers! Reckon Ponting is decent option now that he’s retired from Test cricket. Harris is apparently going open for Renegades. Would love take punt on Phil Hughes as he’s in ripping form this summer so far.

Week 12 of the NFL season sees the beginning of the playoffs in the keeper league while only one regular season matchup remains in the two other leagues. Games in all leagues are going right down to the wire with positions still up for grabs. In the 'real thing' the Falcons and Texans are continuing on with their winning ways, the Packers suffered a heavy loss to the Giants, the Saints stumbled at home against the 49ers, the Colts have gone from last seasons cellar dwellers to this years likely playoff spot while the poor old Eagles can be summed up simply.... THE KEEPER LEAGUE (review by bgt2110)

#4 The Jug-O-Naughts (112) lead #5 Waito’s Warriors (107)

A very close matchup sees the Jugs head into week 2 with only a 5 point lead over the Warriors. This one can still go either way with both teams able to make adjustments to their starting lineups to hopefully proceed onto a matchup with Team Stowie in the semi finals. The Jugs had valuable contributions from Brady(30), the Patriots d/st(21), Andre Johnson(18) and Mat Ryan(15). Unfortunately, Austin(0) was injured early in the game and Fred Jackson(1) was disappointing. With a couple of bushes, namely Reggie and Michael itching to get a start the Jugs have ample support on their deep roster. For the Warriors it was Calvin Johnson(20), Doug Martin(18) and Alfred Morris(17) who all performed well while the Texans d/st(-2) had a rare off day. The Warriors can draw on either Trent Richardson(16) or Steve Jackson(13) this week to push the Jugs all the way in a much look forwarded too week 2. Good luck to both teams.

Winner of this matchup meets Team Stowie in the semi finals.

#3 Billy Bass(103) leads #6 Welcome back Mr Wallace(76)

This matchup is also going down to the wire, although Billy is leading with a healthy, but not out of reach, 27 points. Billy will head into week 2...
