1 : Nedflanders - TS V Crossy - TS
The rat cunning of Ned takes on the brute force of Crossy in this all TS affair. Word is that Crossy has spoke to Longmire and informed him next time he makes a late withdraw of one of Crossys players he does so at the risk of Longies wife waking up with a "Horse" head in her bed !!!. Take it the big fella has Mummy in his side ??. Ned not sure weather he should throw this game or not after learning of that.......Ned will choose not !!. Lets face it Ned, like the rest of us, are happy to die for SC !!.
2 : Schlock - FF V ELeviathan - TS
The cold hard brutal Schlock of FF would be happy to play Ele of TS at this early stage. Ele has zigged when he should have zagged but never worry Ele will get it fixed in double haste time but even that wont save him from Schlock inserting the defeat pineapple on him !!. Ele with forethought has dobbed some Vas and got bandages ready !!.
3 : JB - TS V Slarty - FF
The rock that is JB for TS will retaliate for Ele and take it out on Slarty of FF. The Blue Ranga that is Slarty will change out of his kilt when he sees what JB has installed for him !!. Even a Warneesk wrongun wont save the kilted inswinger from the JB onslaught !!. JB to march through this game and to notch the belt at weekends end !!.

In the all FF affair Yani and his "Auto fiils" will be pillaged by the merciless Bones !!. Bones takes no prisoners and Yani will suffer directly as a result (Not to mention a jab from Schlock) . Bones to go...

So all of us were sniggering when Malcolm Blights team came out. We were all thinking "what is this midprice madness"?!
Well here we are a couple of rounds into the season and though Blights team isnt necessarily the best at the moment, a team named Blighty Teasdale has the number one slot.
And yes once again, great work in the forums tearing the top teams apart. Its fantastic we have such a good group of people here wanting to do some nice work to make my job easier. And its smoked McAlmanac out. Hope to see you comment a bit more. As you wrote in the forums you can always be called "a former world number one". Even in my best ever season I was never able to take the overall lead (3rd was my best, top 10 for about 10 weeks). But I digress...(after thinking of the future ranks of FWN1 champs including Dirty Whorks and Yamumlovesbigcox)
So what makes his team special? Well if you throw a range of midprice gambles in the air and they all come up trumps, thats pretty much what I see in this team so far. Which is no surprise as were only two rounds in. The question that needs to be asked is "will these gambles continue to pay off?" If they do, well hes a genius and will be hard to stop in the Supercoach running this year.
Lets see his team over the break
<!--more-->
Defence: Only one premium. Inspired strategy one would say with a few of the rusted on prems of previous years in the doldrums. And no Goddard!
Deledio, Dempsey, Malceski, Bower, Hargrave, Clarke, Lake (Morris, Ellis)
Midfield: A ripping 4-1-3 combination, reliant on Ebert, but hes had a great start to the year. Another pertinent point is that Wingard is here and probably not getting a game. Lots of dollars there for possible future upgrades.
Pendlebury, Ablett, Thompson, J Selwood, Brad Ebert, Magner (Wingard, Shiel)
Ruck: Hes gone 202, and has the pick of the bunch. Could not have a better ruck combination at this stage of proceedings,...

Way more big ins this week than outs, and after all the collective rumours from this week, a reckon I could hear an audible sigh of relief when the teams come out.
Anyways, the big ones are as follows
Ins: Gray, Mumford, Mundy, Brown, Longer, Bock, Treloar, Tomlinson, Brogan, Stevens, Kerridge, Stephenson
Outs: Paine, Black, Dickson, Priddis
X.Int: Treloar, Townsend, Hoskin-Elliot, Stevens, Kerridge, Smedts
Full teams over the break.

Welcome all to the Best Buys.
The first edition of the regular season, here we will look at the "Best Buys" before the round 3 price changes. After a massive weekend of football and some fluctuating form over the first two rounds, correctional trades are increasingly important in the SC world. Instead of lecturing you all on how and when and why to trade, I will simply outline some player for you to look at if you have decided you need to make one. Hopefully not too many jumped off Lake in the aftermath of round 1, or onto Rocky and Adcock, but it certainly highlights the need for proper assesment before making that jump. Join me over the break for the Best Buys, and of course the great discussion and thumbs board for all your trading needs.
<!--more-->
The Best Buys uses a mix of price, form, break-evens and projected salaries to assess the Best Buys of each round. These are essentially the players that represent the best "value" which is determined by the above factors. Some player will not be mentioned on here even if they are playing well, as value is the key for this article. If a player is averaging 110, which is certainly solid, but priced at an average of 112 then they will not be rated. This does not mean these players should be avoided or not picked due to this, but simply that they arent as good "value" as the others in the Best Buys. For all the player Ive missed, and any more youre wanting opinions on, the thumbs are always there.
The thumbs act as a polling tool for the TS community, if you pose a question with either a yes-no answer or a "thumbs-up X, thumbs down Y" in there then the community as a whole can give you some great feedback into your choices and what they think about it, while also catering to the lazy amongst them that cant be bothered actually typing out a response.
GWS have offered some great rookie choices this year, and as there are a lot of them instead of doing the better options individually I have...

Welcome to the round 2 review of SuperCoach SuperSubs. As I mentioned last week this article is here to not just provide a review of the week’s sub’s, why they were the sub. But to provide you with information on what type of player a particular coach subs on/off. This will be useful later on throughout the season. The advantage of all this for your team is when selecting who to put on the field, you may have an idea which has a higher chance of being the sub. So head over the break for the week’s review!

Brisbane vs Carlton
Brisbane
Green Vest: Jesse O’Brien
Red Vest: Ben Hudson
When? Late in the third quarter
Why? A popular substitution at the moment seems to be subbing out a ruckman and in a runner, coming off a 5 day break late in the game it was going to be super hard for them to run out the game and that is why the sub was made. O’Brien was chosen as sub as it was his first game of the year and to be able to come in late and hopefully dominate but he was unable to do so wish just 2 possessions and 9 SC points.
Carlton
Green Vest: Jordan Russell
Red Vest: Jeremy Laidler
When? Early in the 4th.
Why? The game was well won by now. Laidler has had previous injury’s so they rather be safe than sorry! Russell was chosen as the sub, as he can play back, mid of fwd. A typical utility. He came on to very little effect though having just the 4 disposals.
Essendon vs Port Adelaide
Essendon
Green Vest: Sam Lonergan
Red Vest: David Hille
When? Mid-way through the first term
Why? Hille strained his calf and was subbed off very soon after, Essendon really do have terrible luck with the sub. This was Lonergan’s chance to take his spot in the team and Hille’s injury gave him a chance to get some of the ball, but he was unable to take it grabbing 8 possessions, 4 tackles and 48 SC points.
Port Adelaide

Id nearly forgotten the thrill of having your unique premium knock out a severly poor score, on the Thursday before a long weekend.
But hey- those are the joys of Supercoach, its a harsh and cruel mistress, but hell, for all the lows, it certainly is hella-fun to play!
And with that thought, its onto the review.

Brisbane vs Carlton
Result: Carlton by 91, 23.16.154 to 9.9.64
Accurate kicking helped Brisbane go into the first change up by a few points, and even up to half time, they remained pretty competitive. But once they came out at half time, it was all Blues all the time.
Judd led the way for the blues, though he had just 2 touches in the first quarter, came into the match after that, amassing a further 31 touches and 150SC. Murphy wasnt far behind, his 30 touches and 2 goal scoring him a 147SC.
Jarryd Waite jagged 5.1 with 20 touches, reminding us why he was a premium just a few years ago with a 133SC.
Meanwhile, Kreuzer showed how well he can share with Hampson, collecting 24 of their 49 hitouts, and 13 touches to bring up the ton. 100SC on the dot.
Scotland did better than last week, but will still be disappointing with an 85SC, while Gibbs just didnt do enough, his 19 touches good for a 71SC.
On the rookie front, wow, Bower did well- 24 disposals for a mighty 93SC.
On Brisbanes side, as youd expect with a 91 point demolishing, it was ugly, with Rockliff and his 61SC being the chief culprite.
Really though, every lion disappointed, Adcocks 60SC, Golby and his 53SC and Hanley with his 53SC all were pretty painful.
Heros: Judd, Murphy, Bower
Villians: Rockliff, Adcock, Hanley, Gibbs

MOUNT BUGGERY DISAPPOINTMENTS1013 def byPOPANYINNING PYRITE1200
Where to begin? Mount Buggery were disappointing, no doubt, and Popanyinning were impressive given that they played a man down. The fantastic Sydney duo Reid and Richards were heroic once again (too much?), and their 5-deep midfield (Boyd, Swallow, Shuey, Rich, Hayes) all tonned up severely.
However, the big question to come out of the match is thus; are Mount Buggery tanking? The case for:
- Two weeks in a row the chief has selected Sam Butler to play when he hasn't been named. In this round he could have gone with Hardingham, but didn't even name him as an emergency.
- Walesy has hand-picked a swag of Melbourne players. It's cultural.
- If Walesy succeeds in his plan he could pick James Magner in the first round of the mid-season draft. Another Melbourne player.
- The name 'Disappointments' is suspicious.
I think I've presented both evidence and motive there. Make up your own minds.

: Conningilos - Brogie - FF
Brogie is an Arsenal man. Brogie is in England terms "A northern spud" a bloke that knows alot and says little..............Is said to know what happened to Shergar ???. Dont know if he walks with a limp but is a match hardened coach that can go "left field". As the pykies would say "A sneaky shyt"
2: Devilish Sauce - Mancdave - FF<!--more-->
Dave is a ManU fan. A Supercoach wild card !!. Is reputed to have won leagues before but had a shocker last season. A "Feast or famine" player and a wild man to boot, its been said he scares Schlocky as Schlock knows Dave is a mad bastard. Dave says hes pumped for this year .............Time will tell.
3: Mind of a toy - Yani - FF
Yani is a Derby man. If you listen to Schlock (And a lot do) Yani is the flukiest shyt around won SC and DT in Pietri league last season ( FFs own leagues ) . Will have excuses when beaten but rather hard to find and pin down with a question when that occurs . Having said that was the winner of the "Pineapple cup" last season in this league...........2nd highest average and never made the top 8 !!! . A hard task master that takes no prisoners !!. 4: SCTBC - Edbull - FF
Edbulls an Everton bloke. A bloke that took 3 baths in 2 weeks and was sent out here to live................He now showers daily and eats REAL meat. Fancies himself as a AFL player but can go AWOL. A lot of people dont know Edbull.......................Maybe theres a reson why ???
5: Fanfooty UK Schlock - Schlock - FF
Schlock a scouse bloke ( Liverpool ) . Yanis sparing partner Yani & Schlock tee of on each others arse like big bad John Daley on a good day with a tail wind !!!. A bloke that has Unwashed blood in him but resides in Aus. Is rumored to suffers from ducks disease but is ok with it ??. Rates himself as a coach, rates everyone else as shyt. Hard as a coffin nail and just as cold.

Man Utd v QPR
QPR’s delight at beating Arsenal last week was compounded by this weekend’s opponents United beating relegation rivals Blackburn. This in turn has taken QPR out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
They’ve had a massive couple of weeks with their comeback win against Liverpool as well as their impressive and deserved win against the previously rampant Gunners. Beating a relentless United team hell-bent on keeping their noisy neighbours in their place is an entirely different proposition altogether.
It might not be a vintage United side but the result and the manner it was achieved with two late goals was classic United. They’ve now won 12 from 13 and have a 5pt lead over City.
Jones is fit again and last week played midfield. Nani has a small chance of some game time.
Arsenal v Man City
I tipped City to win the league this year but this was before their near capitulation in the glare of the media. This game really is the last chance saloon for them and even if City can somehow lift themselves for an away game it is hard to imagine Wenger’s team not busting a gut against the likes of Nasri and co.
Lescott could be back as could Aguero after the medical team put him out of action with a foot spray.
Swansea v Newcastle
Two of the seasons success stories face off at The Liberty. Swansea’s home/away win ratio has seen quite a turn-around in recent times. March Player of the Month Sigurdsson – whose six goals have all come away from home – has been a huge part of this. Despite losing two of their last three home games, they’ll be strong opponents.
Caulker will be available again, while Dyer will be champing at the bit to reclaim his spot back in the team. Newcastle who are 3pts closer...
