For those who take it way too seriously
Hey Guys
Â
December is upon us and this is where the season battles up for the top couple of spots. Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all play each other in the next month. Chelsea have had injuries hit them hard, Lampard has missed almost 3 months now Drogba is battling malaria. Alex is due for surgery and Terry is now out. United are now sitting top after a 7-1 demolition of Blackburn. Berbatov scoring for the first time in 10 weeks netting 5. Arsenal are there or thereabouts again with another solid win against Villa. Fabregas is out atm with a hamstring and is likely to miss another 2 weeks. Manchester City got back to form with a 4-1 win away to Fulham but could only manage a 1-1 draw with Stoke who scored in the 92 minute to equalise. Spurs 2 big wins over the past 2 weeks coming from behind to beat Arsenal 3-2 and again coming from behind to bit Liverpool 2-1. Their key player Rafael Van Der Vaart is with a torn hamstring likely to be out for at least a month. Bolton sitting 6th have been crusing along nicely but had to come 2 down at home to blackpool to snatch a point. The big Merseyside clubs are struggling and find themeselves in 10th and 16th spot respectively. Down near the bottom West Ham got a much needed win last week but still find themselves on the bottom with Wigan and Wolves in the bottom 3 atm. Fulham 1 point further ahead in 17th.

So, this is more of an "Hey, isnt that interesting" sort of a thread, but I figure, in the current lull, it cant hurt to take a look at.
So lets take a look at team supercoach scores throughout the year. One thing to keep in mind, because of the 3300 rule, the average score for a player would be 75.
The first thing that strikes me at round 12 is Freo. Whilst they are 8-4 and sitting in 4th on the real ladder, here they have given up more SuperCoach points that theyve made coming in at less than 75.
<!--more-->
Carlton looks to have shot high, but when you look at the actual ladder, you can see that although they were in 6th at the time, they had the 4th highest percentage (behind St Kilda, Geelong and the Dogs- the other "top 4 teams in the table).
The biggest fall on this ladder would be North. Though again, although they were sitting 6-6 in 9th on the real ladder, their percentage was at 76.27

If we look at the second half of the season though, we can see a couple of things. First of the mark though is Collingwood. They found another gear in the second half of the season and it shows being the only top4 team to increase their output in the second half of the season.
We can see Freo and Carlton absolutely hemmoraging as they moved into the finals, and I reckon without the home ground advantage, Freo might have gone a different way.

What a round. So many close games! Going into the final day, almost every game could still go either way! And the lead changed in a few games on that final day too.
This entry is going to be a smaller one today as Im pretty flat out with other things at the moment, and probably will be the same next week.
We still have 2 undefeated teams in Jasmines Mob and Run TMC, but both were given a run for their money this round; but importantly - both got the job done again! Jasmine is also sitting atop the overall points ladder, whereas Owen comes in in 4th place. And on the other side of things, we still have 3 winless teams in Fudges Sixers, Pikus United and Elbonanzas. Fudge is actually sitting in 11th spot on overall points ladder, but still hasnt been able to muster up a W!
Before I get to the reviews and previews, just want to give an update on Elbonanzas...  Still no word from Elbonz himself - and as discussed, we have made a change to his team and will do another in the coming days. We have dropped Michael Redd for Jeremy Lin and there is currently a poll to decide who to bring in for Donald Sloan with Manny Harris in front - but only by 1 vote so Im not going to do it just yet. If you want to influence the decision at all, and havent yet, make sure you log in and <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/leagueoffice?leagueId=23530" target="_blank">go to our league homepage[/url] and vote. Ill do the swap when there is a clear leader. And want to point out again that Elbonz should get 1st priority on Redd and Sloan if he wants them when he comes back.
Now over the break will be the reviews of each game in matchup 4; and the preview of matchup 5 :::::

I know Im starting to sound like a broken record but, damn this one close league! With only two rounds to go no one is certain to make the play offs and only a few teams a out of it all together. Top spot got knocked off again and in the West the top 4 teams are seperated by a game and points for only and in the East the top three teams are also only separated by PF. The last two playoff spots are certain to be decided by PF and with some of the scores lately its still pretty open.
In the NFL this week the Patriots beat modern day rivals, the Colts, the Bills won their second game for the year, the packers smashed the Vikings, the Steelers belted the Raiders and the eagles held out the Giants in a fumble fest, but the biggest story was the miraculous victory by the Jets at the death. Mark Sanchez led his men up the field 85 yards in less than a minute snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Santonio Holmes getting on the end of an amazing final drive and catching the winning pass for an impossible touchdown. Also Randy Moss continues to suck it up, no catches again this week. Well, time for the league review
<!--more-->First game, well start with the biggest score of the round, going to AUSSIE BATTLERS (e) as they beat SAM CROW (w) 143-71.  ABs had two players score in the 30s, led by Steve Johnson with 31.  This huge score includes a big fat 0 from the TE, making it even more impressive.  Sam Crow fell victim to fumble fest with Bradshaw fumbling all over the place to land him a zero too.  The win takes the ABs to top of the east conference with a couple of  big games to finish the season.
The second match up was the biggest game of the round with the winner to take top spot in the West. Â The eventual winner was THE PACK (w) as he knocked off top place BOLDIN SHOWERS (w) 121-87. Â The Pack extended his winning streak to four straight, the best of anyone at this present time and resigned BS to their second straight loss and down to...

Hey guys, Im currently putting together the all new forum. Now, Ive got some ideas on how I expect it to function, however I was wanting to get an idea from you guys on what youd expect.
Are there are rules that youd like to see implemented outside of the usual play nice and dont go off topic?
Any thoughts to the structure of the board- should Supercoach and DreamTeam be separate, or should it be grouped together?
Should each team have a separate board for the discussion of said teams players? Should there be a division on position?
Im thinking well need a place for general football discussion- and a basic dumping ground for when topics go off topic, or start turning into trolls. Then were going to need something for the other sports that we follow in these parts- Cricket, NBA/NBL, NFL, EPL... have I missed any? maybe have an Other as well.
Im thinking a section to ask advise about the site as well as to report bugs. A place for brownlow discussion. Maybe a place for leagues-
And finally, a Donors lounge. While I wont be providing any content specifically for Donors- I am happy to run a private board for the good folk who support this place- so while I cant guarantee the content that will occur in here, I can provide it.
Anyways- the full release of TS3.1 is still a whiles away (Ive been very slack this November!) - but things are still grinding over on a daily basis- and as always, let me know your thoughts!

We didnt have so many close games this round, with almost all games decided prior to the final day, and 8 of the 10 games finishing with greater than 100 point margins. And on the other extreme, Jasmine didnt take any pity on Elbonz and dished out the mother of all hidings, almost tripling his score!
In the NBA, the Hornets and the Spurs are setting the highest standard, both only dropping one game each so far; and the Magic are top of the East with a 9 and 3 record. Individually, Durantula leads the league with 28ppg, Love leads the league in boards with 13.8pg, while Rondo is still leading the way with 14.2 dimes pg. Pau Gosol has most DDs with 11 from 13 games. and as for negative stats, Wall still has the most TOs with an ave of 4.4 per game; and Dwight Howard has the most fouls per game with a 4.4 ave.
PGs are still dominating our league, with 9 of them in our top 20 fantasy points scorers so far. Leading the way are Chris Paul, Pau Gasol and Rajon Rondo who are averaging 63.1, 62.5 and 62 fantasy points per game respectively. Next in line is Russell Westbrook and LeBron James with averages of 56.5 and 56.2 respectively.
Now onto Elbonanzas... It was requested by a few people that we work out a way to trade with Elbonz while he is still away, so I put the question to everyone in the poll on our league homepage, and the result was a resounding NO to doing any trades on his behalf. And then it was suggested that we drop any players from his team that are likely to be out for the remainder of the season, and replace them with FAs. This is possible, however, once again, I didnt want to make the decision by myself, so I set up another poll to decide what we should do. The results are in: 63% of people voted that we drop any players he has that are out for the season and replace them with a FA.
He has Michael Redd as the only player likely to miss the remainder of the season, but could be due back in Feb, so if he does come back, I propose...

Hey guys, a Third of the way thru the season and I"ll just get some recaps of the Tooserious Fantasy leagues going.
Â
What a last couple of weeks it has been in the English Premier League. This season atm will go down as one of the closest/most upsets we would have seen. The 3 propmoted teams all doing well and especially Blackpool who everyone tipped to be the automatic relegated team are showing upeeveryone with their great attacking play. Sunderland winning 3-0 over Chelsea at the Bridge. Chelsea had scored 41 goals at home before they had conceded on the weekend. Man Utd are still undefeated have but 6 wins and 7 draws, 6 draws on the road. Arsenal could be top but have dropped 6 points at home to Newcastle and West Brom, Boast the best away record to date. Man City are being Man City and dropping points when they shouldnt, to be fair a point against United is decent and Birm park the bus approach is never easy must get 3 points this week. Bolton the surprize packets with Johan Elmander is superb form and his goal last week was nothing short of brilliant, couple of very winnable fixtures coming up i can see them keeping it up. Spurs there or thereabouts and Villa have climbed a few spots last couple of games. Liverpool well all their supporters jumped on after their win to Chelsea so what they can and do lose to Stoke and only get a draw against Wigan, now Torres is injured and Hodgeson will be gone is they dont get the 3 points at West Ham this week. Kenny Dalgleish to comeback?? not sure but thats what the Kop wants. Poor West Ham and Wolves both teams playing some great football but cant get the points. Wolves have pushed Chelsea, Unites and Arsenal and toppled City but cant seem to get the points on the board. West Ham had a number chances to win on the weekend yet couldnt get the job done. After 1/3 of the season gone this is how the table looks.

WOW! What a round! Â Round 10 started quite slow but boy did it gather pace. Â This week saw top spot beaten, the highest score from a team in our league and the highest score from an individual player for the year. Â In the NFL, the biggest news of the week was Michael Vick. Â He had the game of his life in an unstoppable performance as he decimated the Redskins 59-28. Â It took just 18 seconds for Vick to pass long on the first play for an 88 yard touchdown, a few minutes later he ran one himself and had two more TD throws to finish the quarter with four TDs. Â Vick amassed 49 fantasy points in an awesome display.
There were a couple of other huge games, the biggest saw Bradys (and my) Patriots up against Big Bens Steelers. Â Both teams took in a 6&2 record but from early on in the game the Pats were obviously the dominant team. Â Brady played his best game of the season and led them to a 39-26 victory to maintain equal best record in NFL. Â Later on the Denver Broncos jumped out of the gates and bolted to an impressive lead with some huge bombs landing perfectly for Orton, which saw the Broncos beat the chiefs 49-29.
