Ill make this very quick, this week. Sorry, but I will do my best to whip up something worth reading during the week to make it up to you. But, some teams have had big ups this week, others have had big downs. Been quite an interesting one, and worth looking into. Well, it must be interesting if Tippett can score tons.

THE STARS
Saint Nick hits some form on the wing which he has struggled to find all year, while Pav was in for a big one until a negative 16 final term. Mitchell finally puts on a really big score, also my Best Buy Boomer, shows everyone why he was the bargain of the year. Is Joel Bowden back? That question will be asked heaps this week, as will is McLeod back? Luke Power had a weekend high 40 touches. The whole Geelong team (Chapstick and Guess Who? were stand-outs) got peoples scores back, while the only Eagles that you be happy with is Cox and Embley. Festival Hall and Kirk were some more high scores. Nick Stevens showed why he is a keeper. Gilbee and Shaw hit up some good scoring after both having a below average season. COONEY and Cross never let you down, either.

THE FLOPS.
There were plenty this week: Buddy, Simmonds, Bock Choy, Brown, Bartel, Juddy, Didak, Aker, Chadwick, Peter Burgoyne, Deledio, Black, Nath Jones, Goodes, BJ and ROK. But, the only one we care about at TooSerious is Scott bloody-no-one-ever-tags-me Thompson. Grrr.

Ok, basically tell us how us how your team is going. I will update this with the good, the bad and ugly after every game.

I would imagine alot of peoples weekends would have been saved by captain Gablett, while those you went for Thompson, Buddy, Brown are shattered. Please tell me your having a bad weekend too.

This is a must read before hitting those C and T buttons.

1. Dont touch Brown as captain this week, even in Brisbane. He hates the crows averaging 64 in his last three. And, the Bock Choy is his likely opponent. I had that written down all week, then bloody Kevin Sheedy said it in todays Sun, I reckon he has read my notes.

2. The only rookie this week is Callan Ward get him for Palmer and that will bring you a nice chunk of greenbacks. Valenti missed out again.


3. Buddy has Banana Firitto who is actually leading the reserve-Coleman Medal with Brown, Mooney and Pav dominating on him in previous weeks. But, dont be fooled Kangaroos have double teamed in the past.

4. Buddy too big of a risk? I think so, definitely take the safer option of a midfielder - Ablett vs. West Coast and Goodes vs. Melbourne are the stand outs. Scott Thompson is in some fine nick and Brisbane hardly ever tag. Cooney is in the same boat, but might get Rhyce Shaw who kept Juddy quite.

5. Oh, god Nicky Dal has been told to Nick off, put him on the bench and give your rookie a run. Definitely dont trade.&nbsp;

First things first.

The Eliminator.

I got so amazingly lucky this week. 1954 - and made it though.

Mind you, the efforts of McIntosh, Shaw, Macdonald and my favorite, Captain Franklin, tried their darnest to sink me, while on the other side, we saw smashing efforts by Hille, Osborne and Murphy, I managed to squeek through by 50 odd points because he wore a Jake King donut in the backline.

*phew*

Now, you may have seen me say - McIntosh. OUCH.

but what to do... Sadly, Im feeling that the answer to that is: Something crazy.

So heres the plan.

Im going to field Kruezer... and downgrade McIntosh.

However, there is method to this madness... my final upgrade that I really needed to do was Jack. (Yes, I still have Jack on the field! How am I in the eliminator?? )

By downgrading McIntosh (Ave: 70), and fielding Kruezer (Ave: 50), Ill be able to upgrade Jack (Ave: 62) to Gablett (Ave: 117).

This would net me an extra 35 points per week, but also sure up my Captain...

Yeah, crazy... like a FOX!

I normally keep you in the loop of all the best buys that are coming up but one bloke has snuck under my radar and is probably one of the best buys you will find all year. He is so cheap but has never got a score under 76. Some say he is out of form, but really is 76 out of form or just a bad game? If McLeod is too big of a risk, this bloke is ya man. BARGAIN OF THE <del>WEEK</del> YEAR.
Brent Harvey
Price: 480k. Average: 107.75. Change in Price: -107k. Breakeven: 86.
Like I said off the top, this is a sensational buy. Ive been talking up Chappy over the last couple of weeks cause he averaged 100+ but was under 500k. But, bloody hell, thats nothing compared to Boomer. Averaging 107 points but priced at 20k below that same mark. What a bargain. Some might be questioning that he is in a form slump? Well, he has averaged 87.4 in the past 5 weeks. But, thats more than what Brad Johnson has averaged for the year. He also picked up a 111 when he was clinged by Ling, not many out-of-form players can do that. With an average of 122 in the first 7 rounds, if North start winning again - look out. He still has a BE of 86 and the Hawks this week, so if you want to wait one more week, you shouldnt see a huge jump in his price.

BEST BUYS.
Last weeks Bargain of the week, in McLeod is still cheap as chips, and as mentioned by VQ did pick up 66 points in the first term and showed some signs of hitting form. At 358k and a BE of 76, you cant go wrong. Gilbee and Milburn are still both below 480k if you have that bit more money and dont trust Macca yet. Down forward there isnt alot on offer Brad Johnson is probably the pick of the crop with a price of 444k and a 121 last week. Also, Saint Nick with a breakeven of 117 which he could beat this week cause he is due for a bag, is priced at 466k. If you...

TRADE ONE.
OUT: Brent Stanton (85)
IN: Brent Harvey (107)
Brent for Brent? Thats roughly a gain of 22 points per week, and only costing me 45k. Stanton cant handle a tag, but with two hundreds in a row, is he worth holding on to until Nicky Dal goes down again? Harvs is in a so-call form slump, but still only has 3 scores below 90 all year which are all in the 70s. I reckon he will start firing again, big time.

TRADE TWO.
OUT: Cyril Rioli (80)
IN: Brad Johnson (87)
This will finish off my forward line and what a forward line it is. But, going by the yearly average it is only a gain of 7 points for nearly 113k. But, if you look at the last 3 weeks - Sizzling Cyril has got me 42 points per week, while BJ has wanged on 95. Thats 53 points more per week. Not bad. Can Rioli regain a bit of that early season form to push him back up to the 400k mark?

TRADE THREE
OUT: Troy Simmonds (66)
IN: Darren Jolly (81)
This trade will nearly cost be every cent but a rise of 15 points looks nice. This one is all but canceled out at the moment. Cause Jolly is no White or Sandilands. I definitely want to upgrade Simmonds in the future, Ottens, maybe.

NO TRADE
With 7 trades, and 118k in the bank. Do I just leave my team as is? Both...

<div>This is a question which i havent been able to answer over the past month. Your not worth your DreamTeam salt if you also havent been keeping one eye on Andrew McLeod. In a year of major DreamTeam backline woes a McLeod worth $230k has to grab your attention, even if his form inst great.

Well he responded this week with a solid 81 points. The kinda score that my backline craves. This means he has basically bottomed out in price. After a slight increase this week and a low BE for nexts week game he should rise again. So does this mean he is back? Should you jump on board.

Well that obviously depends on the specific position and needs of your team, but in case you didnt see the might Adelaide Dockers last quarter loss to the Hawks on the weekend let me throw a couple of things out there.

The Crows not only found a way to lose they also developed a new game plan that involved the 'multi' switch of play. Not content to switch play once the Crows decided that continual movement around the backline was the best bet.

This meant that Bocky had the most possies, racking up 151 DreamTeam points, Stiffy Johncock wasnt far behind and even full back Ben Rutten got to 106! So what can you read into Andrew McLeods 81?


<div>[span style="font-size: 1.0em;">Well, lets put it this way. The average DreamTeam score for the entire 22 Adelaide players was 81.45. Remove
Nathan Bassets injured score of 2 and first gamer Andy Ottens score of 9 and that team
average rises to 89. Get rid of the forward / ruck combo of Tippett and Griffin
and the average of the reaming 17 players pushes up to 97!!

If the team (minus some newbies, injuries and
ruckmen) can average 97 what the hell was McLeod doing only racking up
81? Macca is going to need to do more before i am convinced.

Well, if you picked Ablett youd be pretty happy - the untaggable Cat scored heavily yet again - Buddy struggled in Adelaide against Nathan Bock 'Choy' and got a few points in rubbish time against the Crows. This week throws up a few more of the usual suspects in for your considerations, and a few players who, thanks to Sizza and his Whos Hot and Whos Not blog, have punters looking to capitalise on their hot form.

Scott Thompson (ADE)

Is there a bloke in hotter form at the moment. Goodes maybe, Cooney
and Ablett - its getting to be expected, but Scott Thompson has gone
along (relatively) unnoticed, but if you had him from the start youd
be laughing. Sizza tells us hes averaged 138.6 in the last 3 weeks and
with a 148 last week against the Hawks, comes right into calculations.
Averages big scores against the Lions with an average of 116 and a top
score of 124 last year, Scotty Thompson could be your man this week.

Gary Ablett (GEE)


Against the supposedly tanking Eagles, this could be a monty.
Having said that, I recall Abletts lowest score this year being at
Subi vs Freo, so perhaps hes a bit of a risk this week. It will
probably be either Selwood or Stenglein on Ablett this week so he may
have his work cut out for him - but Ablett is just a freak - and I
dont reckon anything would worry him at the moment. With a 106 the
last time these two teams met and an average against the Eagles of just
under 90, perhaps this is the week that the consecutive games as Ablett
captain breaks for many...

Matthew Pavlich (FRE)


The much maligned Dockers skipper has bounced into a little bit of
form with 164 and 111 in his last two, and with an undersized Saints
backline to confront him this week, Pav may be your man. Scores an
average of 120.5 against the Saints with a top score of 132 last year.
Definitely not the shabbiest option.

Adam Goodes (SYD)


With Melbourne this week, Goodes - Mr Consistency - might be a
better...

...VICTORY!

This week the Viking Quest recovered from an average round 11, and moved up a massive 679 places in the overall rankings to 449. It was a week inspired by a forward line, which averaged 140 points, and big games from the leadership group in Ablett and Goodes.

This week the Chad regained some much needed form. After an abysmal first half tagging Joel Corey.
It finally clicked in the second half, where he amassed 82 of his 104
total points. Port have a very reasonable draw here on end. I dont
think itll be long before the front-runner starts pointing at the
scoreboards and winding crowds up again.

Roughead showed again that, in this Buddy conscious
world, hell perform well on a consistent basis. It came as suprise he
was only rewarded a nominal 98 points considering his impact. Perhaps
Champion Data only reward stars with their game breaking stats? VQ none
the less saw some very good signs.

The weakest link, yet again, was Heater Shaw. His performance
of 31 was about as impressive as his bulldog-looking uncles special
comments... To state the obvious. Considering the focus on his game and
his coachs reluctance to release him further up the ground, VQ is
expecting a big game this week against. Theres hardly anything to be
gained by trading him in any event.

Ibbotson has very likely peaked in value and...
