TooSerious
For those who take it way too seriously
Bit of a rough week this week. A combination of short term injuries and choosing to save trades til the finals have ended up leaving a Cameron shaped donut on my field.
Definitely sub-optimal, but not as bad as it could have been!
Still lost my matchup for the week, but I'm already a shoe-in for the finals, so we just gotta coast.
How are you all shaping up towards the finals?

Nunawading Nuffers 841 def by Charlies Opening Spelunkers 1279
A woeful scene at Nuffer Park as the home side served up possibly their worst attempt for the season. Coach Andy couldn’t have painted a worse picture even if he tried as a still life of 3 donuts and a bevy of tubers was left out on display.
The power affiliates in Ebert and Dixon held their own but were largely over-shadowed by the Zerrett and Bont show. This dead rubber left both coaches with plenty to ponder (and then quickly forget) as form and consistency were bleakly dismissed.
Gundagai Grasshoppers 1010 def by Venus Bay Vultures 1239
If it weren’t for the hoard of instagram selfies posted on the Gundagai Hospital website, one might ponder that sNoZ had put the cue in the rack and run with auto fill for the last few weeks. Unfortunately, a horror injury run, has this early season contender praying he can drain the last morsels out of “Ex-pat Obama-care” before his entire team is trumped into the turf. The Vultures were far from their ravenous selves as Yeo broke down and Joey and Howe fell flat. However, Buddy and Kreuzer continued to show their unbelieveableness to bolster the Vultures healthy winning streak as the finals approach. Late mail coming through advises that sNoZ maybe contemplating stepping down as he realises that he holds dual-citizenship, potentially in contravention of ORFFA doctrine. In a prepared statement sNoZ babbled: “It is with great sadness I’ve discovered I’m a dual citizen. I have always thought of myself as a citizen of the world, with no fixed ties to any particular race, creed or nationality. In fact, my birth certificate lists my place of birth as No Man’s Land c/o The Nether. I have since found out that this is just a forgery which is part of a cruel joke played on me by my “Minecraft addict” son in conjunction with an anonymous ORFFA representative. Upon scratching away the crudely applied “whiteout”, it is now revealed that I am originally from...

Another week of coasting into the finals, and another week of living vicariously thorough Ant!
Think I'll be coasting for a good few more weeks though. Gunna sit on the trades I've got to go hard at the finals.
Ant, hope you're climbing against this week mate!

Round 17.
Lots of big changes this week, some are fantasy relevant.
Hopefully everyone is pretty much fully upgraded now and just tinkering on the run home.
Good luck to everyone for round 17

Teams are over the break....
330 from Danger, a 142 from Docherty, 129 from Goldie and a rebound from Fyfe with a 139.
You'd think that there would be some big scores out there, but damn, 60 from Dahl, 61 from Treloar, 73 from Hanners, 74 from Dusty and a whole other assortment of bunk has made for quite the bi-polar score.
Still, surely someone avoided the kajillion bullets out their this week?
How'd we all go?

Wineglass Bay Packers 1107 defeated Charlies Opening Spelunkers 946
I finally got my tanking strategy sorted this week, lining up Stephen Hill to munch on a donut. Not that him playing would have helped as Tracey took me on a wonderful cruise around Wineglass Bay… in 40 foot seas. Safe to say dinner didn’t stay down for long. Sandlands going down again will be an ongoing concern for the Packers, but the Ranga Lynch up forward struck some form.
My learnings from this game : Ginger is an average cure for seasickness, Sean Darcy is going to be a beast and if you are going to throw on Tracey’s boat make sure you face downwind.
Lovely Banks Lilacs 1145 defeated Gundagai Grasshoppers 1120
Jen came out and told sNoZ to get stuffed with a great win at Lovely Banks in arctic conditions. After king hitting Callum Mills behind play with a heat bag scented with lavender, it was an average performance across the board that got the Lilacs over the line with only one ton coming from The Hoff. The Hoppers had Neale, Cripps, Martin and Grundy ton up, but the rest were spuds.
My learnings from this game: Lavender is a great alternative treatment for headaches, Snoz’s team are going to be inconsistent for another season yet
Whitsunday Warriors 1106 defeated Nunawading Nuffers 1038
Terry quaffed his Tom Yum as the big General went bang again for his second ton in as many weeks to put Andy’s Nuffers to the sword and keep his team in the race for a Top 8 spot. The decision by the Nuffers cheerleaders to wear Ski Jackets did not go down well given the tropical climate, with Tory Dickson especially failing to fire up.
My learnings from this game: Patton is scary when on fire, Terry and Andy both need a ruckman, and Andy needs to check if he is playing home or away before he does the cheer leaders costume selection.

Big win for Captain Danger this week.
Small loss for those of us that benched Nank for the Greenwood score
Huge loss for those who held onto Sandilands.
