For those who take it way too seriously

Gogogo Doggies, and welcome back Rockliff!

Grabbed his hammy a bunch through the game, but it certainly didn't affect his score! Wonder how many are gunna roll the dice on him. He's certainly cheap enough!

Would love to know how I'm going, but the SC site looks to be down (Along with a bunch of other sites and the Sydney Amazon cloud!). Makes me wonder why we aren't down, cause we are also on that cloud. :D

Ah well, once up, let us know how you've gone!

For the average footy fan, fantasty football is great fun and an exciting way to create some healthy competition among friends during the footy season.

However, the biggest drawback is the time consuming nature of fantasy.

It requires several hours each week to perfect your team and research who is in form or out injured and this is for the entire season.

However, daily fantasy platform, Draftstars, combines the excitement of fantasy, without the frustration a season long commitment.

Draftstars pits individual players against each other and you only have to pick a hand full of players and contestants can win real cash prizes every single week, with over $100k in cash won each week on the platform.

To get started in Draftstars, you can enter for free to play free games, or deposit as little as $10.

Contestants can choose to play games with a salary or salary cap free contests, called Turbo contests and contests can either be single games or span across multiple games.

To draft your side can either select nine players (salary) or six players (turbo) to play a game, rather than needing to choose an entire squad of players.

The scoring system is outlined above and it is the same as AFL Fantasy, so it is easy to pick up.

It is easy to keep track of your performance, with scores come through within a minute of every disposal.

Contestants can even see a forecast of how much they are set to win when playing an opponent.

Round 10 was a prosperous one for TipBetPro followers with 8 correct tips (68 for the year now!) and importantly getting both “50:50” games correct (shout out to the fine state of South Australia and your football teams). Oh and we also got a couple back on the tipping oracle that is Bing … cop that you second-rate search engine!

Turn over to check out our Round 11 tips and also to take a closer look at the rise of Carlton.
Getting awful close to the byes, and awful close to full teams!

Don't forget that when looking to close out your squads over the next two weeks- if you're looking to bring in a round 11 guy, it might pay to hold off if it means not missing a donut in round 11.

But we're here to talk teams.

Gogogo Cloke! :D

(Or yanno, the real comeback story, Trengove!)

Matho out! Full teams over the break.
Well Priddis did okay, but not great – and Gray who also got a mention did okay too – but it was Jack Stevens who got one mention and then I replied with some stats on how he wasn’t as good as Priddis or Gray and talked poor NedFlanders out of potentially the trade of the season (well a good trade anyway…) – sorry Ned, but remember it's not whether you win or lose: it's how drunk you get.

So all that is in the past now, and Priddis, Gray and Stevens may all get 50 or 150 this week – but this week we’ll focus on a different position.

Round 10 - Geek Pride Round

Birdsville (1101) defeated Gundagai (1051)

The talent at the Grasshoppers is finally starting to show, however they weren’t able to overcome Birdsville in a scrappy affair. The Battlers were unlucky to have Marc Murphy go down early, but Treloar (103) and Hunter (102) continued their sublime form. A lack of backline depth hurt the Hoppers, despite great outings from Curnow (128) and Neale (118).

Charlies Opening (1040) defeated by Cradle Mountain (1114)

This was an evenly matched contest between two teams hovering around the top 8, with Cradle Mountain comfortably getting the job done. The Spelunkers were hurt by a backline donut which was perhaps the difference in the match, with Kieran Jack (120) easily their best performer. For the Devils, it was usual suspects Pendles (118), Zaharakis (122) and Zorko (114) that ensured the win.

Wineglass Bay (1028) defeated by Iron Knob (1223)

Iron Knob will be a little disappointed with their start to the season, with a win over the Packers steadying the ship. Ablett (143) might be back to his best, while Roberton (102) finally proved his worth for Coach Jim. The Packers midfield failed to fire, with Lachie Henderson (105) the only player to crack the ton.

Darraweit Guim (1277) defeated by Larrikin Lagoon (1405)

The clear second-best team of the competition, the Lefties were again very impressive in their win over Darraweit. Jordan Lewis (141) fired in his 250th, while Goddard (130) had plenty of it. The Dirigibles put up a decent fight, with Armitage (149) returning to form, but Boomer Harvey (46) and Tyson (47) were unusually quiet.

Whitsunday (1108) defeated by Venus Bay (1231)

The Vultures are quietly slipping under the radar, easily accounting for the Warriors....
Wowzer, how about those Blues? Could be 7/5 in two weeks time.

Not bad for what was called "the worst list of all time"

So , how have you all gone? Reckon there could be some big scores out there.
7 correct tips for TipBetPro followers which is just one less than Bing followers which we think is okay (seriously how does Bing keep getting ridiculous upsets right – Sydney over Richmond and then Collingwood over Geelong). Well Merrett ended up playing and knocking out 100, which was 1 better than the guy I changed to when I heard he was injured (Monty with 99) – For those playing at home, these are the Buys of the Week and how they went last week:

Ablett – injured
Docherty – 135
Parker -120
Shaw – 203
Pendles – 140
Merrett/Monty – 100/99 (I changed this one, half-way through but Merrett ended up playing – both did okay)

So near on 700 points from 5 players – let’s hope they continue to perform and that this week’s BoTW does just as well.
