For those who take it way too seriously

The donor team, where donors come together to put together the greatest team possible. By committee.

Great fun, so if you want to input your thoughts on the initial squad, head over to the official thread

http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/donor-team-2016.89309/#FgVsoPo5TUxv2X0I.97

What's that? Can't see the thread? Might need to hit that donate button up the top there. :D

You get access to the donors forum, downloadable spreadsheets of data, higher attractiveness levels to members of both sexes and various other awesome attributes from subscribing.

And there's also a pretty nifty secret new feature that will be going in this year, only available to donors (aka, the beta testing team. :D) - but more details will be up on that as the season fires up.
So, it's been years and years since I've written an article about how salary movements work in this game, and you sometimes forget that not everyone has been around for the past 10 years.

Thankfully, Father Dougal from over at SupercoachTalk has put together this fantastic article on the matter.

Fecking Prices, How Do They Work?

Ok, the title isn't quite a work of art, but the contents are a fantastic refresher on some of the salary mechanics that make SuperCoach the quality product that it is. Well, well worth the read! (Even if just for the walesy cameo in the comments ;) )

Luckily, they aren't FastasyAFLTalk though, cause Fantasy AFL's movements and their weighted scalings on past rounds is less fun to work with.
Ok, put it on the line here for fame, ridicule and all time. Extra points for bold predictions that come true. :D

There is a 12 day deadline - to guarantee your place in a league you will need to have posted in this thread by March the 11th.

Apologies for the lack of posts this year.

We are now into the finals, so I wanted to get a post up to remind everyone of the agreed promotion and relegation rules for this season, as well as point out the situation in each league.

Firstly, remember we all decided on a different format for next season.
This:

All leagues still with 12 teams in each.
A Premier League
A Division 1 league
Any other leagues as conference leagues, could have 1, 2, 3, 4 or any ammount of these leagues which sit at the same level of the hierarchy and all feed into the Division 1 league through promotions.

We do still need to work out how many teams move between the leagues at the end of the season, but we can work that out prior to the '16/17 season.

It was decided that the promotion and relegation setup for the '15/16 season is the following:
Keep the promotion/relegation rules between Premier and Division 1 exactly the same as last season.
5 teams move from Division 1, down into the Conference leagues (allows for the wildcard to still come into play this season)
4 teams move up from Division 2 into Division 1 (same as last season)
1 team moves up from Division 3 into Division 1 (Grand final winner)

Promotion:

The 3 teams going up from Div 1 to Premier will be:
the GF winning team;
the team with the best regular season 'Points For' (excluding GF winner of course);
And (excluding 2 already promoted teams) the team with the best rank during regular season.

The 4 teams going up from Div 2 to Div 1 will be:
the two grand final teams;
and (excluding the two GF teams) the team with the best 'points for' during regular season;
and (excluding said Points For winner) the best ranked team at end of our regular season.

The team going up from Div 3 into Div 1 will be: the grand final winner

Relegation:

The 3 teams going down from Premier to Div 1 will be:
the bottom team at the end of the regular season;
and (excluding the team with the worst reg season...
So we've had a chance to see something of each team through the first round of NAB challenge matches. Always remember to take pre-season form with grain of salt!

Will be interesting to see how it's played by the clubs.

Thinking that overall, teams will play their stars in the 1st and 3rd games, with the 3rd game more closely representing the actual gameplan.
Lotta praccy matches going on at the moment, and I'm a good 8 hours away from being able to sit down and read through the reports- so if we want to start the chatter- or post any reports in here.

Go for it!
For those who take the selection of their fantasy football team seriously, you're probably already aware how the loophole works. For those who don't there is a refresher at the bottom of this article.
