Round 23 saw us miss only one scoring player, with Steele named in the squad, but not making the final team. We scored 2,272 for the week, at a ranking of 8,427. Our season aggregate ended at 49,881 just short of the 50k mark, which gave us an overall rank of 5,577. We're quite happy with that!

Like most teams, our side for the final round had lots of ups and downs. Lets take a look at them.

Defence
K Kolodjashnij 121
N Malceski 120
J Gibson 105
H Shaw 97
B Houli 79
B Smith 43
Bench of B Maynard 57, and L Hodge 0.068
Despite their team troubles, and the general pumping they received, the Gold Coast boys did the job for us down back, with 121 for Kolo and 120 for Eski. Gibson was the only other ton-topper down back, while Cheater just missed out. Houli was serviceable against the Roos-Magoos, while Smith was as average as his surname, and likely burned any chance of us picking him at all next year! Rookie Maynard outscored Smith, costing us 14 potential points, while Hodge did his best to contribute, offering to supply the booze, but drinking it all on his way to the game.

Midfield
J Selwood 142
C Ward 140
M Priddis 127
J Kennedy 121
A Treloar 86
S Pendlebury 85
P Dangerfield 78
J Nelson 49
Bench of D Swan, H Bennell, and N O'Brien, all donuts.
Some very premium scores from some of our premiums, with two 140's and two 120's leading the way in the midfield. Of these four, Ducky, Ward, Priddis, and JPK, it was only JPK who was in our starting line-up. Conversely, our three remaining premium mids had some very un-premium scores, with Treloar, Pendles, and Danger averaging 83 between them. Rounding out our mids was rookie Nelson, with 49 points more than Hodge, Swan, Bennell, and Goldstein!

Rucks
N Naitanui 133
M Gawn 101
Bench of T Goldstein 0.
Finally a change to our ruckmen, with Goldy taking an undeserved week off, forcing us to play musical chairs with our DPP's. Fortunately the earlier NicNat outs forced...
And just like that, another season comes and goes. Massive props to The Nights Watch, who's 2519 propelled them from 6th into 1st in the last week of the season. Steering clear of Dockers, a great move! Second place falling short with Hodge, Swan, Higgins, Bennell and Fyfe all bringing donuts to the party.

Wowzers!

Anyways, time to settle into the offseason, first with some finals football, a little NFL, maybe some NBA, some Brownlow and a touch of EPL.

And who knows, might even play the big bash again this year. :D

How to fit in the off season research with all that going on!!!

Anyways, I hope one again that you've all had a solid, enjoyable season, maybe taken home a win or two.

And finally, want to throw out a massive thank you to our writers and to all of you, the community. This place is a wonderful place to catch up on all things fantasy, and that's only possible with all of you, investing your time and knowledge with the rest of us.

Thank you.

(Ps, with the fathers day loading applying tonight, there's a good chance that the stats don't get updated til the morning. :D Many apologies!!)

[span style='font-size: 16px;]ORFFU Grand Final Preview (Cue Top Gun Theme)

The grand final is upon on us and sees what many would say is an unexpected clash between Blanchetown Bunyips and the Groote Eylandt Barracudas.

Semi Final Review

Groote Eylandt knocked out the favourite for this year's title with a hard fought victory over King Island, there is no denying that the Monarchs have underperformed at the pointy end of the season in successive years.

Blanchetown who narrowly avoided an Elimination Final exit made their way through to the decider with an equally hard fought victory over the Panthers.

The Numbers Form Season Average Post Break Average
Groote Eylandt WLLWW 1304 1373
Blanchetown Bunyips WWWWW 1285 1281

The numbers suggest that Groote Eylandt have the potential to go larger but also leak more points (average 39 more points against per week). Blanchetown has quietly got the business done when it counted and come in on the back of 5 straight victories.

Last time these two sides met was in Round 14 with the Cuda's blowing the Bunyips away with a massive 1583 (is this the ORFFU record?) to win by 228 points. Will this flogging have a lasting impression on the Bunyips? Head to head since the byes sees the Barracudas lead 7-2.

Unfortunately this year's grand final has the potential to be hijacked by Ross Lyon & Brad Scott with a serious case of the newest AFL fad ‘resting' to be applied to some teams this week. Baring this in mind a selection summary and tip will be provided post teams on Thursday night……..

I have just dissected the teams as they sit in Matchday, the contest looks likely to see the Bunyips have 0.5 - 1.5 extra players on the park (depending on Ben Newton). Regardless of if Newton gets up we will have a game on our hands as the averages of the players playing is Cuda's 1283 (1252 with oop Ruck, 1187 without Newton) Bunyips 1263....
QAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==
It's no surprise that the top two teams this season, on points and wins, are facing off in the ORFFL Grand Final #4. Details on both teams follow for the biggest regional football match that no one can bother driving all the way too, or grassing the field for (let alone paint the lines).

So, 45 outs hey.

Good thing we had a grand final last week! :D

BRISBANE LIONS v WESTERN BULLDOGS
Saturday September 5 at Gabba, 1.45pm...
Less than 2 months to go now before the season starts.

Here's how our leagues are looking:

Each division is ranked based on last season's final standings, and then teams promoted and relegates up and down accordingly.
If there are any teams who drop out this year, all teams will move up in the order they are listed here:

Teams in bold have recommitted already. Teams in italic have already stated they are out...

Premier and Division 1 are both full up. We are still waiting on 1 from Division 2, and 4 from Division 3.
Emes, chris88 and grav are all in Division 3, I just haven't moved them in yet for transparency.
macca118 is still waiting in the wings, and probably likley to get a spot.

Join Johnson and Myself as we wrap up and analyse the recent NFL keeper league draft - do you agree with our thoughts on the hits and misses of each round of the draft ?

TS NFL Keeper League - Re-Draft
** Only the Canuck Warriors and Waito's Warriors re-drafted in Rounds 5 and 6, whilst Jimbo's Juggernaught also began re-drafting in Round 6. All other teams began redrafting in Round 7.

Round: 5

(49) Brady's Bunch - Julian Edelman WR

(50) So Long Mr Wallace - Bishop Sankey RB

(51) Canuck Warriors - Mark Ingram RB

(52) The Jug-O-Naughts - Frank Gore RB

(53) Waito's Warriors - Carlos Hyde RB

(54) Team Simonoz - Travis Kelce TE

(55) Rigil Kentaurus - Golden Tate WR

(56) Jimbos Juggernaut - Antonio Brown WR

(57) Yo Yo Marshawn - Blake Bortles QB

(58) Billy Bass - Justin Forsett RB

(59) Kings of Karlos - Sammy Watkins WR

(60) Team Stowie - C.J. Anderson RB

Unsurprisingly, Ingram and Hyde, as the expected lead RBs for the Saints and 49ers respectively were first off the board.

Round: 6

(61) Brady's Bunch - Owen Daniels TE

(62) So Long Mr Wallace - Derek Carr QB

(63) Canuck Warriors - Teddy Bridgewater QB

(64) The Jug-O-Naughts - Mike Wallace WR

(65) Waito's Warriors - Melvin Gordon RB

(66) Team Simonoz - Odell Beckham Jr. WR

(67) Rigil Kentaurus - Philip Rivers QB

(68) Jimbos Juggernaut - Amari Cooper WR

(69) Yo Yo Marshawn - Allen Robinson WR

(70) Billy Bass - T.Y. Hilton WR

(71) Kings of Karlos - Brandin Cooks WR

(72) Team Stowie - Latavius Murray RB

Bridgewater looked to be the best QB available and was taken early by Canuck, before the first 2 rookies were taken. Melvin Gordon was drafted by Waito's Warriors and Jimbo's Juggernaughts entered the fray by taking the highest ranked first year WR, Amari Cooper. Both are expected to be prominent this season, and being a dynasty league, for years to come for these two teams.

Round:...
As mentioned, last week the team scored 2,308 points, which gave us a weekly ranking of 11,090. Our aggregate is now 47,609 and our overall ranking is 6,660. We should keep ourselves firmly in the top 10,000 come the end of this weekend, even with some Freo tanking and a potential change to the 9th and 10th picks in next years' draft (complete BS that it won't effect anything). I hope they get pasted this week, and then fall out in straight sets!

The team breakdown is as follows:
Defence
B Smith 126
K Kolodjashnij 110
N Malceski 108
H Shaw 106
B Houli 78
J Gibson 68
Bench of B Maynard 64 and L Hodge wasting away.

Generally a great defensive effort from the side, with perennial bench-boys Smith and Eski both topping the ton, along with young Kolo and the retiring Cheater. The disappointments were Houli, Gibson, and that Hodge bloke... No missed points down back this week.

Midfield
S Pendlebury 155
A Treloar 136
P Dangerfield 128
J Kennedy 117 (Captain, 234)
C Ward 84
M Priddis 83
H Bennell 70
J Selwood 51
Bench of N O'Brien 69, J Steele 0, and J Nelson 0.

There's some excellent scores in there, with Pendles, new recruit (anf Fyfe replacement) Treloar, and Danger all getting well above 120 points, while JPK was near-abouts with 117 and unfortunately a little short of our captaincy desires. From there it all came crashing down, with Ward and Priddis only just breaking 80, while Druggy and Ducky both failed miserably. On the bench, O'Brien outscored Joel, meaning we missed a potential 18 points. There was also the captaincy loss, of 38 potential points.

Rucks
T Goldstein 102 (VC)
N Naitanui 75
M Cox still on the bench with 0.

A rather bad week in the rucks this week, but what can you do. Seeing as, I believe, we have the most common ruck combo, we didn't really lose out by too much on the pack.

Forwards
