For those who take it way too seriously
Another Sunday afternoon and another weekend of football comes to a close.
Did you manage to get Oxley onto the field this week? Perhaps Goodes finally did something good for your team? Or did he languish on the bench, Cripps-style?
Either way, seen a couple of decent scores brewing across my leagues, would love to hear how you went!

Where the hell did this week go!!
Teams are up and I haven't had a chance to consider my trades!
Gunna be relying heavily on the Best Buys and Captain Obvious this week I think.

You suffer these absences in the hope that by the end of this 3 year contract that they'd have shown something in the preceding years on your list to suggest that by the end of their next 3 year contract they'd be firmly established in your sides B15. Last week it was Cripps on the bench, this week it's Oxley.
That said, I'm using Heeney to loop Cripps score onto the field this week, so expect a massive one from Vandenberg.

Welcome once again to the Best Buys, after a horror week where our Best Buy had his worst score since 2011. Fingers crossed our man this week can do a little better.
And that man, is Todd Goldstein. The Big ruckman has dominated early on this season, scoring over 150 in half of his game to date. Obviously it's still pretty early on in the year, but that's still pretty impressive nonetheless. Averaging a massive 29 points-per-game more than his closest ruck rival Goldy looks set for a huge year, but is still only in around 30% of the teams in the competition. As reliable as a ruckman can be, I'm just hoping the Best Buy isn't turning into a curse.
DEFENSE
ROOKIES
Jake Kelly (ADE) DEF 123.9k 56 +41k
Kelly has started his AFL career in decent form, going onto the bubble this week with an average of 56. With a price rise of around 40 grand on the cards after his next game he looks a decent pick down back, and may well get a call-up for a few of the teams still holding Goodes this week.
Harris Andrews (BRI) DEF 117.3k 47 +31k
Andrews is not far behind Kelly, averaging 47 and looking at a price rise of around 30 grand when he breaks his bubble. With the Lions yet to win a game in 2015 their best 22 will likely still be unsettled, but Andrews looks well placed to keep getting game time.
Brendon Whitecross (HAW) DEF 198.7k 51 +15k
Whitecrossisn'ta rookie, as most reading this will be well aware, but he is currently under 200 grand and should be a strong chance to keep getting games. As long as he stays uninjured anyway. Averaging 51 and looking at a small price rise of around 15 grand this week he'll probably only be considered by those looking for bench cover without worrying too much about cash generation.
MID-PRICERS
Tom McDonald (MEL) DEF 457.3k 109 6.8%
McDonald is still in great form, and while he scored under his average in the last game it was in a win so the ball probably wasn't near him as much as it...

Well, we got ourselves back above the 2000 point mark in round 4, with a total of 2,047 points, thanks to Cripps and no thanks to Heeney. This had us ranked at 25,309 for the week.
Looking at the season stats, and we have 8,106 points in 2015, and a total rank of 38,104 after 4 rounds.
We're clearly not back in business yet, as the cliché goes, but atleast we're headed in the right direction. I'd like to say we're taking it one week at a time, but that would be BS, as we're trying to plan ahead with trades for the current week, and trades for the future, as should be all SuperCoaches. Maybe we're so good that we're out-smarting ourselves???
There'll be no sound effects this week, just words on a screen and some silly comments from JPK.
Defence:
J Gibson 133
H Shaw 69
B Smith 60
J Newnes 60
A Oxley 47
K McIntosh 42
Bench of K Kolodjashnij 83 (E) and N Brown 52.
Obviously Gibson was back with a bang, nearly doubling his score from last week. To counter that, Cheater did his best to halve his score from last week. Meanwhile we gave Oxley a chance on the field this week, and he did manage to better than halve his score from last week! Everyone knows that defenders are a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, but this is just crazy! We also traded in Smith, to have him (and the rest of his team really) decide not to turn up for round 4. So, with our second-highest scoring defender sitting on the bench, and Brown also pulling half a finger out this week, we missed 46 points down back for round 4.
Midfield:
P Cripps 172 - yay, we had him on field!
S Pendlebury 119 (V)
JP Kennedy 118
A Vandenberg 109
P Dangerfield 101
D Beams 82 (C, 164) - atleast he wasn't R Sloane!
C Ellis-Yolmen 79
I Heeney 7 - yay, we had him onfield too...
Bench of T Miller 83 (E), A Saad 61 (E), and J Nelson 48
Its that tale of two halves thing again. We were one of the fortunate ones who had Cripps onfield, and were able to take his 172. Then we...

Wowzers, how held the faith with Cripps?!? Gunna see some amazing salary growth over the next few weeks with that 172 in his rolling average!
That said, Cripps, Vanderburg and Miller all sitting on my bench this week stings a bit. Specially with Heeney's 7 on the field!!
Reckon364 from the midfield bench has got to be a record of some kind, doesn't it?
How have you gone?
That said, Cripps, Vanderburg and Miller all sitting on my bench this week stings a bit. Specially with Heeney's 7 on the field!!

<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Ok, well I'd bookmarked this round from the outset as containing one of the most pivotal clashes of the season; the Grand Final of 2014 rematch. On the face of it though, it's looking a sight underwhelming. Which was kind of the popular opinion going into last year's GF, and for the same reasons. Injuries and general absenteeism have thoroughly diminished one side's chances of victory.

<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]By my count Poowong have between 17-19 players lining up in their AFL this week; certainly enough to field an full ORFFL XV. Yet it's the calibre of players missing from their line-up that tells the desolate truth; Ablett, arguably still the best player in the game, Brad Crouch, one of the most impressive young talents going around, and in Darling and Cooney two of Poowong's more productive and reliable FWDs. You see a Joel Patful you can replace in a side (ignoring the fact that you may never need to given his elite durability). A Gary Ablett on the other hand, well there's only one.
