<p style='margin-bottom: 0cm; background: #fcfcfc;] Round 1 was a week where the usual suspects did not deliver. Instead, the round was led by Taylor Walker (177), Treloar (157), Jordan Lewis (154), Betts (154) and Sam Docherty (147). Ablett was still handy with 119 - but it was only the 30th highest score for the round. Fyfe with 115 and Pendlebury with 113 would be considered a little disappointing whilst Selwood with 69 was just plain bad.

So, turns out, when you lose your weekly rollover script in the offseason, weekly rollovers tend to take longer than expected.
Also means that there is a chance that there's bugs and whatnot. So if you notice anything, let me know!
But yeah, everything should be updated, stats, calcs, ORFF*'s, the works.
A quick note to you ORFFA/U guys- I put in the new script that rolls teams over from round to round, but didn't take it out for you guys. Cause the round turnover is a couple of days away, figured that that wouldn't be too bad.
Let me know if you want keep said functionality, or not.
I imagine next week will run smoother as I get back into my groove. Definitely can't go as bad as my team though!

So JPK, what is this Donor Team you speak of? Well, the donors are a group of TS members who send a little bit of cash in Walesy's direction each year, as a thanks mate” for running such a good SC site. You too can do this, simply by going to the donate section of the site. Once you're done, Walesy opens up the donor forum to you, and we all have a little get-together and sing Kumbaya around a campfire. Alright, that last bit might not be true, but the donor forum is, and its where we run the donor team from.
This donor team, well each year the TS donors get together and make a camel that looks like a SC team. Everyone has their chance to influence the team, through initial selections, team set-up (although we will ALWAYS go GnR), and then onto weekly trades, captains, etc. The donor team is a little bit of fun, just to see how good a committee of self-confessed SC addicts can actually be. The goal of the team is to be number 1, which is why Walesy stays well away from any selection-type stuff (he may be good at running a SC site, but he isn't a very super coach!)
So yes, while we were all madly putting together our own teams for the SC season, the donors were off in the background, putting together a camel of a team, and this is what it looks like (plus the round 1 scores, to save space):
Defence:
J Gibson 108
H Shaw 85
J Newnes 69
K Kolodjashnij 47
K McIntosh 120
A Oxley 31
Bench - A Saad 89 and N Brown 53
Midfield:
S Pendlebury 113
D Beams 108
J Kennedy 127
P Dangerfield 123
O Wines 130
P Cripps 53
I Heeney 96
T Miller 30
Bench - A Vandenberg 99, C Ellis-Yolmen 78, and C Blakely 0
Rucks:
T Goldstein 100
N Naitanui 92
Bench - M Cox 0
Forwards:
R Gray 122
D Martin 51
J Bartel 90
M Bontempelli 126
M Clark 78
C Salem 55
Bench - J Hogan 79, and T Lamb 56
Total score for round 1 was 2,076 which has us ranked at 18,211.

As with all years, the pre-season work has been done, final tweaks as the teams are announced will happen (of course) and we all start on zero points.
[span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff;]With all the excitement of ASADA wrapping up in a nice little package, it fills me with much happiness to be rolling into another footy season! Seriously, this saga has striped the joy out of the last few years, so it will be nice to roll into a season, excited about what might be.
[span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff;]We'll get the teams posted in this thread as they come out.
(That said, I'll be heading off camping tomorrow night for the Easter weekend, so I hope that my phone is up to the task!
If anyone wants to update said teams into the post as they are confirmed, I'd appreciate it!)
Good luck to everyone this year!

It has, as always, been a massive off-season in the ORFFA.
And as always, just before the first bounce of the first round, erstwhile coach of the mighty Foul Bay Chickens - ChiefRussell - takes time out to examine the teams and the premiership odds.
Best of luck to everyone in the ORFFA. May the games commence.

Round 1 02.04 - 06.04 Fantasy Footballers Anonymous Round
Placed in round 1 at the end of the most intense period in a fantasist's year. Raising awareness for the plight of those people (and their loved ones) who suffer from the rapidly emerging fantasy football addiction. Our version of the Gambler's Anonymous cards on the back of the toilet door at a Casino!
Birdsville Battlers v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Gariwerd Cockatoos.
Nunawading Nuffas v Foul Bay Chickens
Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles v Marble Bar Misfits
Venus Bay Vultures v Cradle Mountain Devils
Gundagai Grasshoppers v Darraweit Guim Dirigibles
Mt Beauty Uglies v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties
Iron Knob Codpieces v Powlett Plains Packers
Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Whitsunday Warriors

Back by unpopular demand is the latest instalment of the premiership odds brought to you by ChiefBet.
1.50 - Iron Knob
The premiers rightly deserve favouritism again. This mob just goes from strength to strength. Picked up Dane Swan and a draft pick for nothing and then had the fantasy pig pick up forward status. Beefed up the forward line further with the addition of Robbie Gray so it doesn't even matter that they have lost Darling for half a year. Sure, the injury to Hanley hurts a bit more, but he was mid only this year and the Knob has the best midfield going round so they can easily cover him. Jimbowan might be concerned with his backline, but I wouldn't be...Ricky Henderson looks to be in favour with Walsh and will cover Hanley's loss to the midfield. I can't see them losing this year.

Another season is upon us and I welcome you all again to another year of captain's picks by the numbers! Every week I will try to identify obvious (and maybe not so obvious) captain's choices based on past numbers.
Round 1 this season poses another question for us: to start, or not to start, everyone's Captain Obvious - Gary Ablett. Ablett only played 15 games last season at a league leading average of 137. He last stepped onto the field against Collingwood in Round 16 which is when he suffered his shoulder injury at the 8 minute mark of the third quarter. Ablett finished that game with 61 SC points - which was his second score below 100 for the year. His only other sub-100 score for 2014 was against the Western Bulldogs in Round 10 when he was effectively tagged by Picken.
It is interesting to note that if you take the injury affected 61 SC points out, Ablett's average for 2014 was a massive 142 SC points from 14 games which would have been his highest season average ever. His current best season average is 140 SC points in 2009 which was his second last season playing with Geelong.
Now to the numbers for the round …
CARLTON v. RICHMOND
Recent game: Round 2 2014 MCG - Richmond 98 defeated Carlton 86.
Murphy v. Richmond
Rd 2 2014: 121 SC points, 28 disposals
QF 2013: 132 SC points, 26 disposals
Rd 21 2013: 102 SC points, 23 disposals
Rd 1 2013: 104 SC points, 19 disposals

Rd 15 2011: 118 SC points, 27 disposals
Rd 1 2011: 107 SC points, 31 disposals
Average is 120 SC points with 28 disposals.
Note: In the game last year, Ellis went to Gibbs. Curnow went to Cotchin whilst Bell went to Deledio. These matchups allowed Murphy a little freedom. Great average against Richmond with no scores below 100 in 12 matchups since 2009.
MELBOURNE v. GOLD COAST

Wellity. Wellity. Well. The 2015 ORFFL Premiership Season is upon and order has been restored to the realm of fantasy football (just in time I might add). Everyone wants to see how the new kid on the block goes in his first encounter. I haven't taken a straw pole or anything, I'm basically just Projecting my own desires on to the rest of you. But back to the competition n00b5 and I'm of the opinion that they'll acquit themselves quite well here. Will they win? I haven't thefoggiest. But for a...
