TooSerious
For those who take it way too seriously
The applicable rules to this draft:
1. It is a requirement that you draft 6 compulsory picks per year, these can be done all in the preseason draft, or over both drafts.
- A minimum of 4 of those compulsory picks must be taken in the preseason draft, that is you must enter the 2015 preseason draft with a maximum of 24 players.
- It is not a matter of how many players you de-list, that is potentially irrelevant as the list size can be traded down or up in the trade period prior.
- If you enter this draft with more than 22 players you must participate in the 2015 midseason draft.
2. Each coach will have 18 hours to make their selection, after which time that turn is skipped, if they have not posted by the time any subsequent picks come up each pick will be given at least 6 hours and then also skipped.
3. Skipped picks can be taken at any time, please state in the post that it is a skipped pick along with the standard pick info.
4. Please double check that the player you are selecting is available first. Onus is on the coach to pick an available player, if you pick an ineligible player and subsequent selections are made by other coaches prior to its discovery their selections will stand and you will have to pick from the available pool at the time. Common sense prevails and will be applied by me, as commonly as I can..
5. If for some reason two people manage to legitimately pick the same player, resulting from timing around a scheduled pick and a skipped pick, the post with the earliest time stamp is the one who keeps him.
6. At the end of this draft all teams will have a squad of 28 AFL eligible players.
Official start time is 0:01 Melbourne time, Saturday 21st March.
All selections are to be posted here in this blog.
This first post will be updated with selections made as regularly as possible.

<p class='western]On the back of winning their14thPremiership crown, it's not a huge surprise to see theHawthorn Hawks heading into the new season in a very strong position.
<p class='western]
<p class='western]Under theguidanceofAlastairClarkson, the Hawks have become thedominant forcein the AFL and it's fair to say the club are in a very strong position heading into the new season.
<p class='western]
<p class='western]Clarkson and his coaching staff will befinalisingtheir plans ahead of the start of the new campaign. Meanwhile, AFL Fantasy coaches will also be putting togethertheirrosters during the final few days leading up to the season kick-off.
<p class='western]
<p class='western]With a squad packed with talented players who will be tempting to Fantasy coaches, the Hawks roster has more than a few interesting options forthose looking for the best value picks.

<p class='western]Brendan Whitecross (DEF)
<p class='western]You don't need to be an expert Fantasy coach to realise just why Brendan Whitecross'price has been so dramatically cut this season. On the back of two ACL injuries, the most recent of which kept the defender sidelined throughout the entire 2014 season, Whitecross is heading into the new season with a point to prove. As long as he can stay free from injury, there is no denyingthe fact that the 25-year-old's price could significantly increase.

<p style='color: #444444; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #fcfcfc;]So what happens if you take Ablett out of your SC team? I did decided to find out. This is what I came up with. I am not fully convinced yet, but not that unhappy with the results either.
<p style='color: #444444; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #fcfcfc;]Perhaps there are enough DEF cheapies this year to swing a 4th into the mix. For my SC team's current structure I certainly hope so.
<p style='color: #444444; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #fcfcfc;][span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #fcfcfc;]I'm counting Smith/Gibson as DEF keepers, with Newnes/Higgins hopefully good enough to stay onfield all season and not miss out on too many points compared to other DEFs. 4 MID keepers plus a mid-pricer (Bontempelli) with a lot of upside, seems like the best way to splash the Ablett cash around at the moment. Finally 2 RUC keepers and[span style='font-size: 14px; background-color: #fcfcfc;]3 FWD keepers plus a fallen premium (Swan). That could amount to 14.5 keepers (optimistically), which I'm happy enough with for now.
<p style='color: #444444; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #fcfcfc;]My bye structure is currently 8-11-11 which works OK. After R11, trade out 3 guys with a R12 bye for players with a R11 bye, then after R12 trade out 3 players with a R13 bye, etc. Should only have 8 missing due to byes on any given week, leaving two further slots at risk due to injured/dropped players.

]Could all admins please create leagues and begin to send out invites using TS PMs. Please call the league TooSerious Div __ (whatever number it is). Note that you can send PMs to a maximum of 5ish people, so I would advise admins to send PMs out in groups of 3 or 4
]
]Members, please check your PMs regularly over the next week

]Admins, names are listed below, but might not be 100% accurate to the name needed to send the PM. Post the date that the league invites were sent and members will have 2 weeks starting on that day (the day the PMs were sent) to join the league, otherwise the reserve will be contacted to join. Also, please include me in the PM list so I can see what is happening.
The leagues have been finalised, and are listed below. We have exact numbers, but I imagine we will need at least one reserve. If you have not yet entered, you can join below, and will be placed on a waiting list for division 7 (still a very competitive league mind you). We still need a few more admins, otherwise I will have to create leagues then leave. Divisions 3 and 4 require someone to set up the league. Please post below if you can do that job. Good luck to all for the 2015 SuperCoach season!

Team Stowie 1840 defeated TS Heaver 1414
Games played were 46-45 in favour of Stowie
The Cinderalla run continues for Stowie. Since being promoted from Div One last year he has taken all before him and has now reached the grand final after getting the win over Heaver. Stowie had 10 players crack the ton this round and Oladipo led the charge with (216/3), next best were the Beard (216/4) and Tyreke (180/4). For Heaver, it was another consistent season but his team was hit hard by injuries towards the end. The leading scorers for Heaver were DeRozan (200/4), followed by Gallinari (162/4) and Horford (141/3).
Ruddy's Cavaliers 1720 defeated King of Karlos 1474
Games played were 47-43 in favour of Karlos
Ruddy has once again made it to the grand final which is a great effort. He was too good in this matchup against Karlos and will now take on Stowie for the championship. The best players for Ruddy this round were Westbrook (302/4), Gay (211/4) and Favors (170/4). Karlos started off slow this season but came home strong . The leading scorers for Karlos were CP3 (203/3), Leonard (164/3) and Hayward (184/4).
Walesy and Jet both won their minor round finals. They will go up against each other this week and the winner will stay in the Premier League and the loser will be relegated.
Fez has now joined Owen on the relegation list.
