For those who take it way too seriously

Round 2. Women's Celebration Round.

And while we didn't record 50,000+ crowds to any of our games on the weekend (congrats to Adelaide, Carlton, the crowd and everyone at the AFLW GF on Sunday, by the way), there was plenty of fantastic fantasy footy played.

Tracey's Packers 863 def by Jen's Purples 1157

The Banks down Lovely way are quite excited indeed as the Haze go 2-0 to start the season for the first time since dinosaurs roamed the earth after a comfortable win over the Packers of Wineglass Bay.

Jen's Geelong-based dynamic duo in Stewart (120) and Duncan (103) feasted on Demon carcasses to lead the lovely Lilacs.
Six further players exceeded 80 - most of them defenders - offsetting poorer games from high-profile types like Westhoff, Heeney and Sinclair.

Despite the defeat, a number of encouraging signs for the Packers - youngsters Stephenson (101), Constable (84) and McGrath (74) among those leading the scoring.

And while Scully's return as OOP ruckman may have been muted (24/2), it is encouraging just seeing him out on the park again.

Tassie's Nuffers 1097 d Terry's Spartacus Collective 1062

A late scoring flurry led by Brad Hill was enough to lift the Nuffers to their first win of the season, a 35-point squeaker over Warriors.

Nareewillock rolled out the cold, wet and windy weather, but early on it appeared their short-handed opponents from the northern climes had adapted to the heavy going better - Boak (122), Polec (110) and Motlop (102) all tonning up, volunteering to be Spartacus and compensating for a bench-based doughnut.

And while those the Warriors' efforts were matched by the Nuffers' Powell-Pepper (109) and Ebert (106), it took a dynamic game from Brad Hill (133), as well as support from Conca and Tucker, to put the win beyond doubt.

Josh Battle's Battlers 1052 d Hobbled Wanderers 909...
Ok guys, it's ugly, but not awful.

Ok, slightly awful, but it works.

You do however, get to feel like a total hacker, so that's fun.

I'm gunna need some people to test this out before bringing the MyTeams link back, so until then, hit it up with this link.

Creating the team is same as always. Getting your team in however, requires first, going to the supercoach site and logging in.

(Using Chrome)

Step 1: Press F12, and move to the Network Tab

Step 2: Press F5 and then look for the file called statsPlayers?round=

It helps if you sort all the files by name.

NOTE: Ensure that you're looking at the Response Tab, otherwise click on the Response tab

Grab the contents of the Response Tab (Highlight some of it, then press Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C) - If you paste it into notepad or something, it should look like this:

Gunna be quick.

- Stats are up.
- Scored a 2,275
- Rucks are back baby.
- I still can't make correct bench choices (Damint Scott)
- Glad I didn't break the bank for Newman. Still might turn Heeney into him via DPP
- MyTeams is still a thing, have some time scheduled in on Tuesday night to sort it. *fingers crossed*
- Pootoroos cracked 1400
- Savages are 0/2

How'd y'all go?

Welcome New Coaches Round

New kids get the initiation treatment as pc values get throw out the window. In a time honoured tradition, newbies open their season by getting tarred, corn-flaked and lightly fried in hot oil before being sent to the most inhospitable place to play their match up. Hope you enjoyed breezy Groote Eylandt this week boys.

Gariwerd Cockatoos 1254 def Whitsunday Warriors 1016

A completely one-sided argument on paper, played out as expected with the Cockies gnawing the Warriors a new one. TiB won the donut parade prize despite Ant giving it a crack himself.
Tons from Rocky, Crouch, Laird, Houli and Shagga left the visitors with the afterglow of a drunken late-night slapping. Andrews, Boaky and Harmes dug in early, but the Warriors had too many holes to plug. Further insult for the Warriors as Ainsworth books a 6 week holiday.

Gundagai Grasshoppers 1247 def Larrikin Lagoon Lefties 1118

“All aboard the karma bus, first stop, Shit in my best hat Hotel”!
cackled some drug-addled Lefties supporter at halftime.
The cocky insects showed their dyslexia early as they interpreted the fixture to read Hoppers vs bye. Unfortunately, amid the confusion, Rance tripped over a bumbling Snoz, whilst rummaging, Mr Magoo-style, for his glasses at half back flank. The audible gasp across the nation seemed to suck the lifeblood from Charlie Curnow as he slipped into a deep slumber of Elm St proportions.
With the all enthusiasm and focus of a twitter troll, the Lefties gained the upper hand for a good twenty minutes as Worpel and Brayshaw danced the Boogaloo. Hoppers rallied late in the third with all the hallmarks of an ill-prepared holiday as Mathieson Nealed on his Suitcase (tune out now if that failed to meet your lofty expectations of humour). As we all know, you can’t win footy on karma alone. Hoppers take an unconvincing win.

Foul Bay Chickens 1334 def Venus Bay Vultures 1311

Match of the round as two...
How good was it to have the footy back this weekend!?!

Time for the post-mortems. Let it out, let it all out.

Think I finished with 2110. Props to Macrae (C), M.Crouch, Cripps, Whitfield, Hurn, Drew, Laird and Goldstein who managed to ton up. So did Scott but he was on the bench unfortunately.

Forward premiums all misfired, not sure what to do about them. Must resist urge to sideways trade!

Avoided having either Burgess or Collins but do have Balta and don't have Parker.

Have at it folks.
Welcome Everybody to the 2019 Trading Games league!

What's it all about? Basically every year the community gather together and choose the players picked in a team we all start with. We usually go with a "cookie cutter" team with the most popular selections on every line, as far as practicable. The players in every team in the group start the same before the round 1 lockout. Then, as the year progresses, and trades are made, the challenge becomes finishing on top of the group with the most points overall. That's it; just use your trades and your emergency/captain picks wisely, and turn the team we all start with into a winning team by scoring the most points.

1. EVERYBODY must start with the exact same 30 players. No exceptions.

2. You don't use your main team, we would prefer if you 'invited' your daughter, wife, grandfather, etc. to create a team that you help to manage throughout the year. Don't join this league if you don't want to follow rule 1.

3. Like always, let's have fun and keep positive. Banter is expected and welcomed! Anyway, the whole thing is up in the air for discussion as always. What are your thoughts to make it interesting again this year?

How to Join?

Step 1: Sign up to the Trading Games group

Step 2: Makes sure you have the correct team entered! The correct team is shown here just below.

Step 3: Choose your captain/vice captain and any emergencies. You could get the jump on the rest of the field with some astute choices even with an identical 30-man squad.

Step 4: If you wish, you can rearrange the 30 players to have different players onfield and on the bench before the start of R1. Just don't change the squad of 30.

Step 5: If you wish, you can join the Trading Games League. We will set up multiple leagues as required.
TS Trading Games 1: 945889

Good luck...
Please keep the RMT's on the RMT Thread

However this discussion can look at JLT bolters, Round 1 debut and team announcements teams and general Player X vs Player X and team structure type debate and analysis.
