For those who take it way too seriously

It's the pointy end of the season. Accolades are aplenty.
So what do we think the All Australian is going to look like this year?
I've got a fair start on my list- would love some help in either filling gaps, or telling me where I'm wrong.

With the NFL season opening in less than 5 days, the TS Australia NFL Keeper League, the premier NFL fantasy football league in Australia, redrafted on the weekend. Pre-season is mercifully over and with the real stuff kicking off with Seattle v Green Bay, a quick draft recap and season preview is on the cards. For those playing along at home, teams can retain a maximum of 6 players from their previous year's roster, and then go to the draft to select the remaining squad members. Essentially, round 1 in the re-draft is in reality round 7 of a non-keeper league draft.

NFC
Rigil Kentaurus: Selected the new Jets acquisition CJ2K with their first selection in the re-draft, and followed it up by taking a still unproven QB in Ryan Tannehill in round 2. Golden Tate could be a wise selection considering he will only ever receive single coverage at Detroit, and Kyle Rudolph was a good get at round 10, particularly if Cassel can get some improved O-line protection. Freeman in round 11 looks a bit of a reach, as was Tucker in round 13. The real surprise though was the selection of 2 defences and another kicker, did auto-selection kick in?? Draft Grade - C

Brady's Bunch: The Bunch started 2014 in the right fashion taking Toby Gerhart, the artist formerly known as All Day's back up at Minnesota but now the Jaguars No.1 RB. Their second selection was a surprise, with the little dynamite with an ever-softening head, Wes Welker, taken late in round 8. Yes Wes plays for Peyton, and yes he remains a good player, but his history of concussion must surely be a concern for the Bunch? Taking Ladarius Green in round 9 was a definite reach, but may turn out to be value in the long run that is this keeper league. Robinson, Hunter and Ivory were all sound selections, but a kicker in the 12th round, just silliness. Loved the Patriots D/ST selection, the addition of Revis and continued emergence of Chandler Jones is likely to see the Pats a force defensively...
Rd 23. Geelong versus Brisbane. Geelong, 1 vote, .............................
The next 30 seconds will decide the winner of the 2014 Brownlow Medal.
Good luck Gil.
BAM! That's it! Thank the umpires, thank the ball boys- that's it for another season!
Particularly, thank the writers! BB, Jasmine, Tassie and everyone else who has put their hand up to write for the site this year! You've all done an absolute bang up job!
So. How has this year gone? Me? I've had a terrible year! injuries played their part, but mostly, poor trading was my down fall. I can't believe how lax one can get with 30 trades! It's definitely something that I'm going to need to work on for next season!
How about you guys? Biggest win of the year? And where did it all unravel? Was it before week one? Was it timing your rookie downgrades? Perhaps your upgrades sucked? Did you trade into players who scored injuries?
Let me know, would love to hear the whys and the how you plan to improve for next year!
Anyways, it's now moving into the offseason (Which technically means EPL, NFL, NBA, cricket, etc... :D) - so it's a few months before pre-season training kicks off and the trade periods and drafts.
Man I love those parts!
This season, in our 4th year running this comp on TS, we started with 30 teams and buzzboys has pulled of the W in sensational style, finishing with an overall ranking of 193!!

I'm not sure what happened the last two years (maybe someone can update us in the comments), but I know that in the first year of this comp in 2011, the winner also finished top 200 too, which speaks volumes for this comp. Its a great one, and lots of fun to play. Hopefully we can get even greater participation next season again :)

[span style='font-size: 16px;]Well done buzzboys. Congratulations.

Thanks to everyone for a great season.

Looking at the scores being scored each round, it seems as though most of the top 20-23 teams were playing for large parts (if not all) of the season.

Now that the season is finished, let us know in the comments what you thought of it all this season. How did you go? What was your biggest mistake, your best move etc etc...

And feel free to post your trades for the season, especially the top teams.
As stated in the summary, w[span style='background-color: #fcfcfc;]e're still waiting on 8 of last year's participants to re-commit for this season; and we've currently got 6 new people keen to join a league.

We're now setting a deadline of this Friday (Sep 5) night for people to re-commit. Next weekend, I'll rearrange the leagues accordingly, based on who's back and who's not etc.

If you're keen to play, post a comment in this thread....

Here's the leagues as they presently are set up:

And so begins the final round of the year.
It's been a long, grueling season this year, with twists, turns and an absolutely horrible end game!
Seriously, I reckon I've been smashed harder this year than ever before.
Anyways, there's some absolute pearlers on this weekend! So kick back, crack a beer and enjoy the last week of fantasy fun.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]Iron Knob will face off against Wagga Wagga in the ORFFA grand final this weekend after the pair won their semi finals last weekend.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]Iron Knob 1350 d Waikikamoocow 1190
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]The Codpieces ran out comfortable winners over a game Incorrigibles outfit in their semi final.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]Iron Knob simply had too much firepower for the Waikiks - even without Ablett and Minson, eight others scored centuries led by Jack Riewoldt (128) and Nathan Jones (129).
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]The Incorrigibles, also hampered by injury and suspension, also battled hard with Dal Santo, Hannebery and Crouch topping the ton in the midfield. The non-selection of a rampant Jack Ziebell stung, but probably wouldn't have made much difference to the final result.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]A good year from the Waikiks, who look to already be preparing for an active off-season trade period.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]Wagga Wagga 1457 d Foul Bay 1361
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]The two-time league premiers will not make it three in a row, with the upstart Marsupials sweeping to their first grand final after a hard-fought semi final victory.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]After some down form in the lad-up to the finals, Wagga Wagga are perhapsthe hottest team in the competition right now, riding a streak of great scoring headed by Franklin, some young midfielders and some veteran defenders.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]Franklin (128), Bastinac (127) and Prestia (126) were notable, while Swallow's 136 in defence was aided by good scores from veterans Malceski and Murphy.
<p style='margin-bottom: 6pt;]A stunning 165 from Shane Mumford wasn't enough to lift Foul Bay to victory, as the big man lacked support - especially in defence. Vince (131) was great, while Stokes, Liberatore and Dangerfield all scored 100+.
<p...
<p style='margin-bottom: 0pt; background: #fcfcfc;][span style='color: #444444;]Some massive scores last weekend with five scores over 150. Robbie Gray led the way with 174 whilst Rockliff and Hurley weren't far behind with 170 each. Mumford scored 165 whilst Goddard also impressed with 164. The rest of the top ten were Pendlebury (148), Ziebell (145), Greene (141), Parker (141) and LeCras (140). Let's look at the numbers (in an expanded version!) for the final time this season …!
