Okay so this is essentially a bastardisation of P_L's thread. I couldn't work out how to promote it to a featured article. And the main page is where the ORFFL belongs. Damnit, that's where 3n4nsy belongs.

Putting all that aside, here are the dates for the upcoming trade, delistments, draft, trade periods:

    2016 Pre-Pre-SeasonDraft Trade Period - Now - Feb 26th 9pm AEDT
2016 Pre-Season Delistment Deadline (lists at no more than 20 player) - Feb 27th 9pm AEDT
2016 Pre-Season Draft - Feb 29th 0:00AM (or earlier the night of the 28th if you want)
    2016 Post-Pre-Season Draft Trade Period - End of draft - 23rd March 9pm AEDT

?

If an auto-pick should occur, who should that player be?

Doobs it killing this draft. Feel like I say that every year though...

So are the comments in the spreadsheet a short cut on your usual draft review, or can we expect a detailed review again H?.

      heheheh.

Well you can expect it if you like, probably not going to happen though.
I'm very time poor at the moment mate, but more generally I think I'd rather just have a conversation with other coaches on how they feel the draft is going.

It's clear that I think Doobs is killing it. Both his picks fill needs and fit his demo. And I seriously rate both players scoring prospects/ORFFL-worth.

Admittedly, I do favour drafting players who've shown they can cut it at AFL-level (or those that I have no doubt at all will be able to e.g Mitchell, Steele).

What are your thoughts on the draft so far, @Kel ?

Nice little return of serve there @3n4nsy. Apart from being painfully slow there haven't been many surprises. Brief review of the first 10.
P1 Mills - Were a few other options but by all accounts is a lock. From the NSW academy system and set to make Eddie and his Vic-centric mates blow an artery or two.
P2 Oliver - Changed my mind numerous times on this one and even entertained trading it away given there was no standout. Happy with Oliver though especially following some of the early match reports. Considering a name change to 'Oliver2Hogan'.
P3 Hopper - Another highly rated academy prospect with big wraps. Could have gone anywhere from P1.
P4 Parish - Completing the 4 of kind rookie mids, young Darcy, although he looks like a girl, can football. Essendon and Jimcumbilly will certainly be hoping so anyway.
P5 Schache - Fez probably pulls out the first surprise taking Schache. Will likely have a long lead time and is a high risk for mine. Having been burnt on Patton myself any Lion love was put to the side when drafting. Personally would have taken Weitering at this point. Hope he has a long and successful career and kicks 50 this year. Just as Fez does, I like beer and it will taste even sweeter when Horsny is buying.
P6 Weitering - He could only slide so far and Gumby will be rapt to pick up a key defender like JW at this point.
P7 Hall - First of the mature players. Obvious choice for anyone contending this year.
P8 Francis - Nice pick up. Jury out on what his best position will be and whether he can move into the midfield down the track, but either way a solid pick that anyone would be happy to have on their list.
P9 Howe - Can he get a regular game for the Hawks after 4 last year would be main question here. Strong pre season form would suggest maybe. Perhaps taken a little early but reliable defenders are hard to find so may be an inspired choice.
P10 Curnow - Like Schache another likely to take some time. From the Hodgey 'good bloke' school has plenty of upside for those willing to be patient. If you go out with him for a few brews make sure doesn't drive though.

      Review continued:
P11 Milera - The Crowbots are losing their shit over this guy. If he is half as good as the West Horsham hype train then will be a good selection.
      P12 Sheridan - Nice.
      P13 Williams - Who?
P14 Keays - Gun (of course).
P15 Sicily - The next Brereton. lol Hawfies.
P16 Rioli - Cyril mk2, unlikely but the name is NT football royalty.
P17 Gray - Can he cement a place in the PA setup. Had a strong finish to the year and needs to continue to improve.
P18 Kerridge - Will get plenty of game time for the poor old blues. How many SC points they will share around remains to be seen.
P19 Gresham - Refer P11 except replace with Seaford.
P20 Ryder - Fuck yeah (sorry @walesy can i say that on here?)

Giles, I think as first playing-this-season on list.

He did know about it yesterday afternoon, thought he'd have come on last night at least.
