Okay so this is essentially a bastardisation of P_L's thread. I couldn't work out how to promote it to a featured article. And the main page is where the ORFFL belongs. Damnit, that's where 3n4nsy belongs.

Putting all that aside, here are the dates for the upcoming trade, delistments, draft, trade periods:

    2016 Pre-Pre-SeasonDraft Trade Period - Now - Feb 26th 9pm AEDT
2016 Pre-Season Delistment Deadline (lists at no more than 20 player) - Feb 27th 9pm AEDT
2016 Pre-Season Draft - Feb 29th 0:00AM (or earlier the night of the 28th if you want)
    2016 Post-Pre-Season Draft Trade Period - End of draft - 23rd March 9pm AEDT

If an auto-pick should occur, who should that player be?

I think it is being addressed, and this is specifically why I raised the question before it occurred. Better to have the monkeys throw shit around now before the obvious happens and someone actually goes over the 24 hour limit. At this point, of those who have commented there is only one in vote in favour of excluding the Bombers players, which to me is not enough to make an alternative or expanded reading of the rules justified. As Jaensch is still on a list then he should take his place on that list as well. To paraphrase Jason, if you don't make your selection in time, tuff titties, you get what you deserve. This draft has been slow enough without making allowances for someone who is going to delay it another 24 hours.

Pick 34 - Jacob Townsend (Rich)

For the record I'm fine with suspended players being available for auto-pick

Correct and I would have even kept all of them if I had them. Smith's Beach is an enjoyable haven to spend a year off.

Ah bugger it lots of decent players gone.
In picking this player all I can think of is "what's the worst that could happen"

Jarrad Waite, welcome to the Hammers. Last season buddy, make it a good one. :thumbsu:

I don't think suspended players should be exempt from being auto-picked and as for fairness, since we are primarily talking about two players (Jaensch and Jobe) that I just had to delist due to events entirely out of my control that weren't there when I drafted them, I can't see how it's any less fair for a team that doesn't show up to draft within 24 hours to be given them.

On the auto draft issue, I think that if we don't get a move on, we won't have the picks done by Round 1. Any incentive to get things moving is a good thing. Jobe will be good next season so he'll be an OK pick for the first candidate who can't make it. Jaensch is the punishment for the second one who doesn't give a good reason for why they are late. Remember that in the past people have given lists to H4whatevsy to ensure we stay on track so let's do that instead of copping autodraft
So says someone who got auto drafted with last pick in the MSD last season.
