Been in the country camping and struggled to get any scores come through earlier today when a tad of reception appeared. In the dark until I arrive home but given the bombers performance, I'm not expecting too much. Great updates @TheTassieHawk

Wow, boozers put up 1364 and even with Rocky's 200+, still cop a hundred point loss in what was a high scoring affair. This extends the boozers losing run to almost two months.

Avengers will be bringing compromising pictures of Adrian to the mountain in an underhanded attempt to distract Rocky and keep that run intact, only 3 points separated the teams this week...

Well it had to happen eventually.
Noahs get found out for the half-bred young wannabees that we are.

Cockburn Avengers 1367 def Neptune Island Noahs 1205

Grats @Len! Unlucky last week, back on point this week.

@leematty1, it was certainly a high scoring week for the 29ers - 90 above our previous high - with 13 of 15 players scoring on or above their season average, 1 was 6 below and the other was 20 below. Another 20 points and we would have managed the highest weekly score in the whole of ORFF* footy as we were narrowly outscored by the one and only Savages of the ORFFL.

It appears the Boozers had 3 or 4 very good scorers but too much was left to too few on the day and we have all had weeks where that happens. That said you were stiff to lose with the 3rd highest score of the round, there has been a fair bit of that going around recently. Good luck for next week and the remainder of the year.

Walpole won their first ever match this week defeating the Butchers (@insider). Coach @port_leschenault cursed his players before remembering that the #1 MSD pick was already locked up.

Neptune Island (@That KI Guy) lost their first ever match with the Avengers (@Len) scoring a memorable win despite being a player short in what may have been the first ever ORFFF victory managed by 14 players.

Useless Loop (@jamabadar) are the only side mathematically capable of matching or bettering Neptune Islands record winning streak of 10 games as they notched up their 4th win in a row over the Power from Port Lincoln (@MrsBear).

The highest scoring match was at Mt Thirsty where the visiting 29ers took the win over the hometown Boozers (@leematty1). The lowest scoring match was at Heard Island where the local wildlife was dismayed by the spectacle of the White Pointers (@Bearfly) disposing of the Shags (@anthak) in a dour affair, which was surely a let down after the 1 pt thriller held at the same ground the week before.

The remaining winner this week were Rutherglen (@tyze1), Jan Juc (@thokash), and Drouin (@stowie) who defeated Chinchilla (@choppers), Mole Creek (@ViQBoZ) and Maralinga (@DamoH)respectively.

There were no entries or departures into or out of the ORFFF top 8 but notable ladder movements were Drouin moving to first at the expense of the Noahs while Mole Creek dropped from 5th to 8th with the sides below shuffling up one apiece, while Wedge Island and Rutherglen both edged ahead of the Power who fell to 13th.

Drouin join Neptune Island in qualifying for the 8 while the Woylies are officially ruled out of finals contention despite their maiden win and it is now apparent that the Boozers and Shags are now the longest of long-shots to finish in the top half.

Dingo Beach and the Avengers continued their opposite win/loss record for yet another week and it is slightly eerie that the Woylies first win was in the same week that the Noahs dropped their first match highlighting another "mirror-image" set of teams amongst our midst.

    Neatly summarised mate :)

I hadn't realised we were still ying/yang with the Butchers, the odds of that happening must be huge

my calculation is 2^10 = 1,024 to 1 for a given pair of teams if each has 50% chance of winning their games (given you have played against each other in Rd8)
