@insider and @stowie have yet to make any nominations when you get a moment free this week perhaps gents ! and so far we only have 1 ruck nominated and need an R2 and R3/emergency
Nominations: Pendles M 116 v Hawks Shiel M 100 v North Lynch F 94 v Power Gunston F 95 v Pies Wells M/F 100 v GWS Rampe D 85 v Tigers
Gotta get some Ducks in there. Enright DEF 101 (vs MEL @ SS) - average of 122 over last 5! Houli DEF 93 (vs SYD @ the short SCG) - back from injury, average of 100 since returning Hannebery MID 114 (vs RIC @ SCG) - went through a bad patch, averaging 137 last 3 Grundy RUC 94 (vs HAW @ MCG) - slow start, averaging 106 since the bye racking up the possessions
@insider @stowie I will put together a 22 plus best alternatives tonight for discussion, would be good to see some Butchers and Dropbears nominated if you can do so !!
Also with Nicnat out we have Grundy as R1, so we still need some 80 plus rucks as options for R2 and R3 !
Now that the grand final is done and dusted and I won't steal anyone's thunder, ill announce that I'm renouncing the rights to the Butchers franchise. Having informed the commish around 8 weeks ago, I feel now is the appropriate time to publicly announce, surrender my parking pass, and fade into the ether quietly. Best wishes on a healthy league and great tough contests aplenty moving forward.
An East team based on 2016 averages - currently (DDB 4, CCC 4, 29ers 3, RGF 3 + 1 emg, DBB 3, CBA 2 + 1 emg, JJD 2 + 2 emgs, MCG 1) Sam Docherty (Drouin), Matthew Boyd (Avengers), Corey Enright (Jan Juc), Jasper Pittard (Drouin), Jimmy Bartel (Black Swamp), Josh Gibson (Butchers) (Emergency Bachar Houli Jan Juc) Patrick Dangerfield (Drouin), Scott Pendlebury (Fugitives), Daniel Hannebery (Jan Juc), Josh P. Kennedy (Chinchilla), Joel Selwood (Black Swamp), Adam Treloar (Avengers), Marcus Bontempelli (Black Swamp), Patrick Cripps (Mole Creek) (Emergency Callan Ward Avengers) Dayne Zorko (Chinchilla), Daniel Wells (Fugitives), Leigh Montagna (Chinchilla), Luke DAHLHAUS (Butchers), Aaron Hall (Chinchilla), Jack Gunston (Fugitives) (Emergency Tom J Lynch GCS and Fugitives) Todd Goldstein (Butchers), Shane Mumford (Drouin) (Emergency Brodie Grundy Jan Juc) Notes Heath Shaw and Eddie Betts were not nominated by the Avengers Other defenders to be considered include McVeigh, Rampe, Zac Tuohy, Brodie Smith and Heath Grundy Cripps is the only Glow-Worm in the current squad - Brodie Smith and Heeney are other Mole Creek options if he is removed but with his good form it's definitely worth including him for now Other midfielders to be considered include Jack Steven and Dylan Shiel and a bunch averaging around 100 this season I have excluded Buddy on the basis he is potentially going to miss or be at less than full capacity this week, I also think Eade suggested Lynch was also carrying a niggle so he can be replaced if needed Other forwards to be considered include Westhoff, Wright, Cooney, Bird and Heeney @insider, @choppers, @tyze1, @ViQBoZ, @stowie, @thokash, @Len - I am more than happy for others to pull this side apart and suggest changes based on this weekend's AFL matchups and tonight's team selection, so hopefully we can smash the others
Wow that midfield looks pretty sick, love Cripps in there. Shame the great man GAJ can't get out there with them, but under his tutelage I imagine the East team will dominate in the midfield! Edit: Would love to get Jack Steven in there too vs Brisbane, but I just don't see how you can drop any of those 8!
Happy with the three I nominated, if people want to roll the dice Shaw or Betts could be great ins, or not
