Round 7 (AFL 7) 5/5 - 7/5 Walesy Appreciation Round Walesy, we thank you for all the time you spend making this possible for us. Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Venus Bay Vultures Nunawading Nuffers v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties Gundagai Grasshoppers v Birdsville Battlers Wineglass Bay Packers v Mount Beauty Uglies Lovely Banks Lilacs v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles Whitsunday Warriors v Cradle Mountain Devils Foul Bay Chickens v Wagga Wagga Wombats Iron Knob Codpieces v Gariwerd Cockatoos Darraweit Guim Dirrigibles v Marble Bar Misfits
The Misfits named to face the blimps are these; DEFENDERS Rory Laird, Zachary Williams, Jake Lloyd, Adam Tomlinson - Jack Hombsch MIDFIELDERS Marc Murphy, Josh Kelly, Daniel Rich, Callan Ward - Tim Taranto RUCKS Patrick Ryder FORWARDS Will Hoskin-Elliott, Devon Smith, Joe Daniher, Caleb Daniel - Jamie Elliott INTERCHANGE Orazio Fantasia, Ben Keays - Matthew Kennedy And they be fearsome
Cradle Mountain Devils Round 7 team In: T Boyd Out: T Nankervis (suspended) Def: M Hurley, Z Jones, L Spurr, J Lever (N Vlastuin) Mid: S Pendlebury, D Zorko, D Heppell, J Steele (J Redden) Ruc: T Boyd Fwd: T Lynch, T Membrey, J Hopper, S Johnson (J Gresham) Inter: S Grigg, L Shiels, (D Zaharakis) Nine Devils are averaging at least 89 points per game in 2017 and over the first 6 rounds these nine players have collectively played all 54 of a possible 54 games, however the first blemish will occur in Round 7 with ruckman Toby Nankervis missing a game due to suspension. Cradle Mountain have the largest ruck division in the ORFFA with five players eligible to play in the ruck. Project player Tim English will need to bulk up a bit before being considered for selection in the ORFFA whilst last year’s number 1 ruckman Jordan Roughead was placed on the long-term injury after a serious hamstring injury suffered in a pre-season practice game leaving two players vying for the Round 7 ruck position – Tom Boyd and Billy Longer. The CMD match committee have selected Boyd to play his second game for the season after being a late inclusion at Interchange 2 for Round 1. His assignment will be easier in Round 7 as he knows in advance that he is in the 15 and will be opposed to an OOP ruckman in the Whitsunday’s Rory Lobb. In terms of positional changes the Devils are giving third year forward/midfielder Jack Steele a start in the midfield with Shaun Grigg moving to the interchange and Stevie J getting a start in the forward line. Over the first five years of the Devils Johnson was the third best performed player at the club behind Pendlebury and Zorko – finishing third in the Devils b & f three times including in 2016. However on present form Stevie J is far from an automatic selection so now would be an opportune time for him to wind the clock back ever so slightly – amazingly in the final three rounds of the 2016 ORFFA season Johnson ranked first at the Devils for best and fairest votes polled and averaged 108 points per game, 75 per cent of that output would be much appreciated by Stevie J’s fellow members of the CMD match committee.

twas a bit late but round 6 review is on blog page http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orffa-round-6-review.89868/
I didn't realise we were playing this week Len, best of luck. I haven't really being keeping track of my team beyond ensuring the Blimps actually have a team on the park each week. Though it appears that they haven't been travelling all that well .... Looking forward to regaining my number 1 defender, number 1 midfielder and starting ruckman this week. Would hope we regain our number 1 forward back pretty soon too. A semi-rebuild or reboot is going to see a lack of depth and lots of inconsistency, which looks to have been the case thus far. Been some good news though with the young hyphens up back showing a bit, and Hrovat playing very well up forward. Further changes are pending in three or so weeks time - savage list cuts are foreshadowed. My mob this week: D: May, Rance, Mackie, Adams M: Cogs, Newnes, Lyons, Tyson R: Naismith F: Hrovat, Brown, Hill, Sinclair I/C: AMT, Walters There are emergencies in TSLeagues, but I can't remember who they are.
Battlers Round 7 Sadly, more 'outs' than 'ins' this week. Been a while since I've had to field an OOP. Def: Tom McDonald, Luke McDonald, Curtly Hampton, Jackson Ramsay Mid: Adam Treloar, Lachie Hunter, Connor Blakely, Rory Atkins Ruc: Jarrod Witts Fwd: Blake Acres, Lewy Taylor, Kayne Turner, Nick Robertson (OOP) Int: Jake Barrett, Dom Sheed

Bit unlucky/silly from me, remembered I had Beams in the midfield even though he was out, but wasn't online at the time and figured I had O'Meara emergency anyway... now hearing that O'Meara is very likely to be a late out today, here's hoping a donut doesn't cost me a win
*Realises players in team have done ok* *Looks at opponent's team* *Realises 'ok' might not be good enough!!*
I'd have to double check but pretty sure the Misfits have never won 5 games in a season, had to reach average at some point
Much improved performance from my mob this week thanks to Buddy, but still not enough to get the W. Well played CR, long season ahead for the Wombats barring a remarkable turnaround.
Embarrassing score by my seasons standards this week, really is one to forget, a deserved loss, and a wake up call to properly check teams... argh Well done to Bandits mob, some good young guns there
If anyone is feeling the SC blues I highly recommend Guardians 2 as a diversion, Tracey and I went early tonight, great way to spend a couple of hours and not a failed selection in sight
Just had a look @Len , previously Marble Bar have had four wins in even years - 2012, 2014 and 2016, and three wins in odd years - 2013, 2015, with five wins already in 2017 the Misfits are going to smash their previous best.
