I’m glad Darcy Fogarty has been dropped. I was leaning towards trading him out already, but was torn between him and Keefe... now it’s an easier decision. DFog will now become Liam Ryan for me. I was tossing up between the two of them preseason and made the wrong choice.

I’m also trading out Matt Crouch, at this stage for Bonner. I might take a bit of a hit this week, but hopefully not too much, and I’ll have $390k to play with next week!

Well, Hibberd didn't makes any decisions for me by getting dropped, so I guess he stays. Biting the bullet I'm, about to take.

Do I hold or trade Darcy Fogarty?
If I trade him I could get L.Fogarty, Waterman, English, L.Murphy, Gowers or Venables.
Thumbs up for hold, thumbs down for trade. Comments are appreciated, particularly for which option to trade in if you think I should trade

      Only one trade.
      Rioli out, Ryan in.

Although I expect Rioli to rebound. He's too good a player to average 55.

English is the closest to a must have rookie from that list and the other Fogarty is an ok mid rookie if you have the other top guys there. If DF is your only concern then I'd make a trade to either of them.

I'll canvas the community too. Three trade options this week:
      A - Naughton to Bonner
      B - Cameron to English
      C - ZGL to Ryan

      I should do trades...

I have the exact same issues with my rookies P_L, plus Mills, Bont and Zerrett.

So far I'm thinking of leaving the rookies alone and going Bont to Cogs and Mills to Simpson but it seems pretty extravagant for this stage of the season really.

      Thumbs up: go for it
      Thumbs down: hold trades
Option 1: trade some rookies instead

Yeah probably do the Conigilio trade. Then use the other one on a rookie?

Thanks mate, I just don't have any rookies that I really like, ZGL is the most tempting to move since he'll miss a month but I just can't seem to justify a sideways rookie trade for 4 weeks when I'm already behind the 8-ball. I think if anything I'd rather move Mills on than Bont so might just do Mills to Simpson and see how I feel about it all tomorrow. Bloody SC already doing my head in.

Thanks everyone else for the thumbs too :thumbsu:

Thanks for the feedback. With O'Connor being an out this week I am now considering two trades. I have O'Connor, Naughton and DF in my team (at least the other 27 are all great, except Bont who's ordinary) and I have several options:
:1: Fogarty and O'Connor out for English and Murphy
:2: Fogarty and Naughton out for Marshall/English and Murphy
      :3: Fogarty out for English
      :4: Naughton/O'Connor out for Murphy
      :5: Hold trades

      • Option 3 Option 3 x 3

Fair enough. Kade is probably the #1 upgrade target in defense as it is right now anyway. I think prem sideways are worse to do than rookie one, but does depend on your teams issues.

Thanks to everyone on their input too.

What do we think about captaincy choices this week? Really bad with Richmond, Geelong and Hawthorn all playing on Sunday. Gawn or Fyfe for VC?

Ok...So I flicked Naughton for Murphy despite my concern over Murphy's job security. I just couldn't see the value in holding Naughton (most likely will ton up now...so feel free to jump on!)

My next pressing decision is whether to flick Giles-Langon for Ryan - price for price straight swap but although Ryan will give the price rise, he will likely be hot & cold and also potential ??? on his job security.

I have already had 3 correctional trades and 4 is getting up there. Just feel that this is a tough choice and whichever way I choose it's bound to be the wrong choice...either could be a spectacular back fire.

I could also look at English but not entirely convinced on him and he wont help me through the byes as I have Natanui with Olongo on the R Bench for loophole purposes

The third option is to upgrade to say Christenson, who I was seriously considering preseason

Basically, I have all the other "must have" rookies. So I will be making money anyway. Decisions.. Decisions!!

      :1: Ryan
      :2: English
      :3: Christenson
:4: hold fire and sit on Giles-Langdon

I’m holding onto Langdon myself as I already have all the must have rookies and don’t like the others on offer with low breakevens (waterman/Gowers/Venables)... there is no guarantee he will go straight back into the side which if he plays a couple of reserves games turns it into a 6 week absence... if that’s the case you will wish you traded...

I don’t think there is any trouble with Ryan’s JS but agree his scores will go up and down.. perhaps wait a week and see how Higgins goes on debut... he will be a trade down target in a couple of weeks assuming he goes well (defers cash generation tho)

Chose the wrong one. Fyfe on a massive score. Normally play it safe but will role dice on Dusty doing better than Gawns 115.
