As per the discussion in the ORFFF Fixture thread it has been announced that the 2018 ORFFF Rep Footy match will hosted by Drouin @stowie and will held during AFL Round 10, when the ORFFF holds a bye due to the Port Adelaide and Gold Coast byes in the AFL.

The format we have used in 2016 and 2017 has seemed to work well so if we stick to that all we have to do is announce East and West sides (22 plus 4 emergencies) by 1pm on Friday May 25th then the 44 gladiators selected from across the Federation will do the rest.

    Team selection threads
    East - http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2018-orfff-rep-footy-team-east.90137/
    West - http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2018-orfff-rep-footy-team-central-and-west.90136/

    2016 - West 2299 defeated East 2290 at Rutherglen
    http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2016-orfff-rep-footy-east-vs-west.89377/

2017 - East 2197 defeated West 2188 at Neptune Island

    Best of luck all.

I think West have won on forfeit!

We’ve just turned up to Drouin and there’s nobody here to play against us!

Team (B)East are 8/822 leading Team Central and West 1/59

Its 11v9 on Saturday before the visitors bring it home with 12v3 on Sunday including 4 players in the 440pm game by which time the home side will have already hit the bar, providing the Dropbears @stowie with some much needed takings to help them throw cash at opposition players in the mid-season trade period.

Team (B)East has smashed out 7 tons out of 7 in the early and twilight matches to be 15/1722 heading into the Saturday night games, with Team West and Central adding 3 from 5 to move to 6/554.

It's 4 vs 4 in tonights games with Cripps, Ed Curnow, Danger and Selwood suiting up for the East and Simpson, Menegola, Conglio and Dev Smith taking the field for the visitors who will want to peg back some of the lead heading into Sunday.

The visitors Saturday night quartet, led by the Virgins Kade Simpson with 140, managed 524 to the home sides 422.

As of Sunday morning Team East are 19/2159 to Team Central and West 10/1078 in a high scoring contest, and if 2016 and 2017 are any guide this is poised to go down to the wire.

Yeo, Gaff, Darling, Tom Mitchell and Sicily wil be running out for Team Central and West in the 110pm game while Jack Gunston is playing for the home side.

Up next is Laird, Oliver and Gawn for the Evil Empire vs Tom McDonald and Seedsman for the good guys..

The home side will be wanting to set a challenging target for the visitors to chase batting last with an imposing TC&W lineup of Fyfe, Neale, Sandliands and Ben Brown completing proceedings at 440pm.

I think the most impressive thing from the East is we got most of our decisions correct. Scharenberg over Witherden/Williams was a winner, De Goey and Lambert were about the same but we were lucky to avoid the disaster scenario of Riewoldt - still have to see how Walters goes though for perfection. Cotchin proved to be a great M8 with Duncan coming in slightly behind. Big Stef over Sinclair also netted a 90 point gain, thank god for that seemingly obvious call!

Hoping TMac isn't a late withdrawal and we get stuck with Witherden's emergency score.

And of course my personal favourite part is Mitch Robinson, proving himself to be good enough to win whatever medal is on offer for this match (hopefully!)

I need to bite my tongue, looks like Seedsman is actually the late out so Witherden's 42 comes into play, not over yet Westside!

I now have the scores as Team (B)East all out for a Rep Record 2328 with team Central and West lurking behind on 18/1905.

Per the live scores on Fan Footy http://live.fanfooty.com.au/game/2018/6589-dockers-kangaroos.html

I have the visitors on 2203 at 3 Quarter time - trailing by 125 - with Fyfe 122, Brown 69, Neale 54 and Sandilands 53 as they attempt to muster a combined 424 for victory.

For the 3rd time running this one is likely to be a nail biter.

Regardless of this year's result it appears that next year's ALL STARS game will be at Heard Island @anthak as Fyfe has edged Simpson out as highscorer for the visitors, as he attempts to win this one off his own boot.

Meanwhile Team East have KO'd Sandliands behind play (probably using a stepladder). Who said this matchup was a glorified exhibition match ?

I told you guys to play Walters but nobody listened!

Sandilands KO might have made the difference, those 4 combined to score only 394 leaving the West 29 points short with 2299. @TheTassieHawk your numbers are correct.

Damn, we probably shoulda had Kreuzer instead of Sandilands anyway, but he didnt even come up in conversation :(

What a great game though! Such high scoring.
Well done to the East side!

Or even Hurn over Howe, which actually was a possibility. Discussion was had about dropping Howe, and Hurn was our emergency.

    ...Decisions...

As @thokash posted above the final result was a Rep Game Record 29 point winning margin to Team East (2328-2299) with Fyfe 163, Brown 87, Neale 74 and Sandy 70 and both teams managing their best or equal best Rep score.

As per the above a surprising BOG was Mitch Robinson with 172 narrowly ahead of Fyfe who carried the load for his team-mates in the final match.

Thanks to everyone who contributed this year and no doubt @anthak will be putting on a spectacle to rival the 2019 Super Bowl when we do this all again in 12 months time.
