In a lineball decision the unlucky 29er to be delisted is Nic Newman (Sydney), reducing the our list to 28 players prior to the draft.
I just realized that i have missed the delist deadline by and hour. Im happy to leave my team unchanged if thats a problem?
Maybe in future we should have some sort of penalty for late delists, like maybe dropping down the draft order? I chose to delist an extra player last night at about 9:30pm based on the amount of live picks at that time. There were 5 more players delisted after that, pushing my last pick down a few rungs. 4 of them were posted within the agreed timeframe, 1 wasn’t. It’s actually not that big a deal and I’m also happy with your decision @That KI Guy to allow it. I’m just suggesting a conversation around a potential penalty for future occasions. What do you think?
Will get the draft sheet etc and thread setup when I get home tonight, need to double check I've kept @ViQBoZ 's sheet up to date also.
For the MSD that's a sensible approach if someone or lots of people are very late and impacts on others, which I don't consider 100 minutes to be at all. For PSD forced delistings as per the Commish and Board concensus on the relevant playing list should ensure that people at least try to be on time.
i personally thinks it ok to let it fly this time around as it didnt impact anyone if it had been made a minute before deadline anyway.
Thinking it over more, I guess this is probably what needs to happen, otherwise where do you stop allowing them? In this case though, I personally think we should stick with @That KI Guy decision and allow Brett to drop O’Shea.
I agree let the delistment stand especially as the commish has already ruled on this. There are probably a few rules we need to discuss/clarify and this may be one of them. Sent from my HTC_0P6B6 using Tapatalk
I should’ve followed this myself... Just remembered we have another thread set up for if people want to change rules etc. http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orfff-rules-proposals.89339/#Rc8ggmrxxbDDWXx7.97 This is from the agreed rules: 7(j) Any ORFFF coach can propose a new rule, or propose a modification to any current rule, by posting a proposal in the ORFFF Rules Proposals thread and then setting up a poll under the guidelines of 7(i). A proposal of a particular rule, or to modify rules in any particular way, should generally only be made once in any 2 year period. A coach wishing to make a proposal less than 2 years after the previous vote on that same matter, may do so if they have gained permission from the ORFFF Board. If a vote decides in favour of a proposal made in line with this clause, a ORFFF Board member will update the rules accordingly. 7(k) Any disputes between coaches or in relation to these rules can be raised with the ORFFF Board, who will endeavour to resolve the issue satisfactorily. Pretty much this, all rules that have a real purpose also have a spirit, I typically prefer to observe the spirit of a rule than it's literal meaning, when there is no good reason to do otherwise beyond the rule itself.
