I'm confident that you were either a jibberer or an alcoholic (and most likely both!) before you were the commish.
With pick 14 in the 2019 ORFFW midseason draft Manildra Football Club welcomes Marijana Rajcic (Adel) View the Manildra Mystix current squad at http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/manildra-mystix-orffw.90316/ @anthak you are up with pick 14
That’s who I wanted! I nearly picked her in the 1st round, but thought I’d take the chance and wait and get a fwd in the first round instead. Dammit! One more pick and she woulda been at Pomona.
im sorry, Ive been in the middle of something this evening, and now am literally falling asleep whilst I try to decide who to pick, so Im gonna make my selection tomorrow morning.
With Tegan Cunningham getting suspended, and Brooke Lochland still out injured, I have considered swaying away from my original plan to select a defender, and instead selecting a backup forward with this pick. Even though Rajcic has been sniped, theres still a few decent defenders around which could potentially help improve my starting 8. I have been in three minds....... If I go for a defender, it'll be Shannon Campbell from Brisbane. If I go for a pure forward, it'd be Aliesha Newman from Melbourne. But, even though I dont think she is quite as good as the above mentioned players, I'm going to select Ashlee Atkins from Fremantle, purely for her DPP status as a backup for both my mids and forwards.
MSD by club Crows = 3 (All in Round 2) Carl, Coll, Geel, GWS, WB = 2 each NM and Freo = 1 each No Brisbane or Melbourne player picked MSD By Position D = 7 M = 3 F and R = 2 each F/M = 1 For the most part this had a sort by 2019 average and pick the position of most need type draft and Erica Fowler and Yvonne Bonner were the only first year players picked. Had Katanning not made the astute selection of Hatchard in the supplementary draft @Len may have had a hard decision to make for pick 1 in the MSD. Apart from KGJ (@Len) who is currently the highest ranked defender in the AFLW/ORFFW world (and was described by commentators during the Rd3 match as the AFLW's most improved player) most of the picks thereafter have been players who have shown glimpses previously and improved enough from last year to be ORFFW relevant either as a starter, emergency or squad player. A few should end up as top 9 players in their side, which would be keeper territory had we been running the 2019 league in that format. It will be interesting to see how much team depth is being tested by the time that ORFFW Grand Final week arrives but a combination of the squad size, season length, the supplementary draft and MSD looks to have developed strong squads across the board with a lot of players who should be fearing the bench after underperforming in weeks 1-3 so I am sure that the remaining 8 matches of the regular season will be hotly contested.
Looks like I stuffed this up! Tegan Cunningham won her appeal, so is free to play. And my 2nd best defender Belinda Smith has been dropped. I should’ve went for Shannon Campbell.
Having Anna Teague playing instead of Shannon Campbell has cost me ~38 points this round. Hopefully Belinda Smith can get back in. She has been doing alright. I’m not sure why she’s been dropped twice already this season.
