The 2019 ORFFW All Stars match has seen the Big V registering 8 of the top 10 scorers - including all 6 midfelders scoring 90 or more - with Bowers scoring 118 to be B.O.G. and Jess Foley as the lone Allies standouts.

The Allies rallied late but could only bring the margin back to 1047-990 by the final siren.

Congrats to the Big V selectors @dmandrews and @Jason for their superb work making EJ, Bill and Victorians everywhere very proud. Thanks also to @FreoDockers for co-ordinating the Allies efforts.

high scoring game in the all star game, and actually fairly close in margin. I was the one who predicted the Vics to win (yes I got the grand final tip wrong though), and looking at the starting teams I thought they'd do it more easily. Glad the Allies put up a decent fight.

The 2019 ORFFW Grand Final has been decided with Manildra Mystix defeating Lake St Clair Devils @dmandrews by 151 points (557-406).

The Devils winning streak was ended at 4 games with Exon scoring 81, Paxman 66 and Hooker 62 to be the best for the losing side.

The victors won their 5th straight and recorded their 2nd biggest score of the year with the best being Davey with 103, Marinoff 84 and the outstanding Alison Downie scoring 82 to set the tone at the centre bounces.

The Mystix faithful were in celebration mode throughout the final quarter before the final siren blew to see them take out the inaugural ORFFW crown in fairytale fashion.

Mystix management would like to congratulate Lake St Clair on making the Granny and extend their thanks to all the teams that participated in ORFFW season 2019 for ensuring that the comp was played with good but competitive spirit throughout.

A belated congratulations to @TheTassieHawk on coaching his side – Manildra Mystix to victory in the ORFFW Grand Final in dominant fashion with a 557 to 406 victory against the Lake St Clair Devils. The Mystix were far too strong across the board with all eight players scoring more than 50 points whilst the LSC Devils had only four players in this category.

In the Grand Final Manildra registered a 530 point + score for the third game in a row, having also surpassed this mark in Round 1 when they also belted the Lake St Clair Devils, giving the Mystix a phenomenal 57.1% strike-rate for 530 point scores in the 2019 ORFFW season. Putting into perspective how impressive this feat by the Manildra Mystix was, the other seven clubs only exceeded this mark three times between them comprised of twice by the Katanning Krushers and once by the Lake St Clair Devils.

It was great to be involved in the inaugural 2019 ORFFW season and the Lake St Clair Devils 2019 ORFFW season followed a very similar path to the Cradle Mountain Devils 2018 ORFFA season with both sides boasting powerful midfields. The CM Devils only won two of their first seven games to seemingly be out of finals contention yet somehow managed to sneak into the finals in seventh place and amazingly ended up hosting the Grand Final where @Len coached the Marble Bar Misfits to a 100+ point victory after finishing the home and away season in eighth. The only times of the season that the CM Devils were in the eight were after the first and last rounds of the home and away season.

The LSC Devils lost their first two games of the 2019 ORFFW season and looked to be out of finals contention yet bounced back to win their last three games of the home and away season and somehow ended up second on the ladder to host a semi-final despite having never been in the top four before the final round. Like the CM Devils the LSC Devils entered their Grand Final on a four game winning streak in their best form of the season but were defeated by 100 + points in the Grand Final. Getting out of the starting blocks considerably quicker will be a focus for the Devils going forward.

The LSC Devils certainly had some luck in progressing to the Grand Final however given that Manildra Mystix clearly had the best head to record in the ORFFW, were phenomenal in the finals and had the highest ceiling of any side they thoroughly deserved to win the 2019 ORFFW premiership.
