Spelunkers team for tonight: Def: Emerg: Sydney Stack (OOP) Mid: Bayley Fritsch Ruck: Fwd: Jack Higgins Bench:
Am I the only one who missed the memo that Hibberd (30, yes you read that right) has become an ineffectual tagger not a reasonable defender?
Cradle Mountain Devils Provisional Round 6 team Out: J Redden (omitted), D Thomas (omitted) In: D Zaharakis, N Vlastuin Defenders - M Hurley, Z Jones, D Rich, N Vlastuin (D Thomas) Midfielders - S Pendlebury, D Heppell, D Zaharakis, J Steele (J Redden) Rucks - T Nankervis Forwards – L Breust, T Lynch, J Gresham, R Marshall (B Daniels) Int: J Hopper, D Zorko (T Membrey) Bold = Played last night or is playing today Two changes at Cradle Mountain for their Round 6 match against the Wagga Wagga Wombats with defender Dale Thomas and midfielder Jack Redden both being omitted, replaced by David Zaharakis who returns after missing Round 5 due to injury and Nick Vlastuin who has been recalled for his first game in the ORFFA since Round 2.
Apologies, the team I entered above is slightly different to the one that is in League's... provisional team below DEF: Riley Bonner, Liam Duggan, Aaron Francis, Andrew Brayshaw (OOP) (Sydney Stack (OOP)) MID: Marcus Bontempelli, Zac Merrett, Jack Bowes, Rory Atkins (Tarryn Thomas) Ruck: John Ceglar (Nick Blakey) FWD: Sam Petrevski-Seton, Jack Higgins, Todd Marshall, Mitch McGovern INT: Oliver Florent, Bayley Fritsch I have a problem in that i indavertently 'loopholed' Aaron Francis, as he didn't play, so I get half of Stack's score. I didn't realise I left him in my team. I could correct that if you guys want by moving Nick Blakey into that spot (albeit OOP), but I have a feeling Ceglar isn't going to make last 22. Let me know how you want to play it... it won't matter a whole lot either way but just wanted to be transparent.
Can’t be considered loopholes if there are no fit bodies mate. All good by the rules Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lefties plumbing the depths already. Perhaps 14.5 for the first 5 rounds was just lucky? Running 13 this week... Def - McKenzie, Cole, Allen, Hardwick Mid - Dumont, Brayshaw, Berry, Phillips Ruck - Hately (wishful) Fwd - Worpel, Lonie, Gowers, Simpkin (very wishful) IC - O’Brien, Cousins
After Banditto's revelation I've been musing on this round and have reached the tentative conclusion that it may be unique. At ORFFA lockout this evening two games will have been long completed with the SC scores available for the players from all four teams. I think having two games completed before lockout is a little unusual; but that's an artifact of the Anzac Eve game as well as the Anzac Day game. The unique feature possibly arises from there being no games which have extended benches at lockout. The interchange benches and the emergencies will have been carded. It's that combo that means that we could not ask for a finer test of the anti-loopholing rules we discussed and agreed to last year.
Provisional Cows team for the round; emboldened players have already played. D - J McGovern, N Newman, R Burton, M Hibberd (D Gardiner) M - N Fyfe, B Crouch, D Prestia, J Ross (A Hall) R - R O'Brien F - T Papley, J Dunkley, S Menegola, M Robinson (H Morrison) I/E - W Drew, D Howe (T McLean)
Battlers line up for round 6 In: McDonald, Taylor, Cutler Out: Robertson, Cerra, Battle D: Ryan, Witherden, McDonald, Clarke (Hipwood - oop) M: Treloar, Hunter, Sheed, Smith (Rowbottom) R: Witts F: Acres, McKay, Knight, Taylor (Cerra) IC: Cutler, Thurlow (Battle)
Injuries are starting to bite at the Bar, very vulnerable this week and next week even more so thanks to Devon, no wonder we prefer beef
Cradle Mountain's 15 man team for the home game against the Wagga Wagga Wombats remains the same as previously named, however Jack Redden is out of the Devils squad due to a leg injury, his place as midfield emergency will be taken by Tim English (OOP).
I forget. Are we allowed to loophole if it is to avoid playing an OOP player? Because Bandit did have fit bodies who were selected as emergencies on other lines.
Fitzy's vultures will come through although it is very close after Saturday evening. Chels tinkered with the side and, in a move all FA coaches can appreciate, decided to bench Robbo (125) for the Q Derby. Cows need a bit of a makeover and better selection decisions.
12.3 It is not allowable to name a player not listed to play that week IF the coach has a player listed to play at the league lockout whom could have been named in that slot without leaving another playing slot empty instead. It is not required that coaches should have to play OOP to fill the slots, but if a full team of players listed to play AFL (including extended benches not finalised by lockout) can be named it must be done instead of utilising a non playing member for that week. Ok thanks. However, I find the last sentence contradictory and I’m not sure how it’s supposed to be applied.
If they can be named in position they should be, but noone is compelled to play oop to avoid a loophole. There is also 12.4 which states rules may need to be flexible around weirdarse rounds, like this one
