So, I'm out in all my SuperCoach Leagues and the ORFFF... time to turn my attention to the NBA for 19/20. Thinking now is a good time to start discussion around things like the scoring system (IMO needs a review again) and the platform we use, after how horrendous ESPN was last season (although they seem to be working on it). Sorry for the delay in responding, but I like the look of the FanTrax in terms of the additional options available. We can still customise the scoring, and this throws up an interesting variable: "Customize Scoring Categories per Position (All Scoring Systems)". We could potentially have different weights for each position for a defensive rebound or assist (for example), which may even out some of the positional imbalance.
I've used Fantrax before and it is much better than ESPN. Although the 'live scoring' isn't as fancy because it doesn't have the play-by-play narrations.
I'd like to use ESPN if possible if for no other reason that I've still got my log in for that haha. As for scoring systems, I'll let others debate the nuts n bolts of it, but I preferred the old scoring system to the one we used last year.
Yeah I’d like to remain with espn too, although I can’t remember the issues from last season. I’m not too bothered by the scoring. Both systems were very similar just last season had lower scores. Not sure it really increases any kind of skill gap because scores were lower across the board. So if you got a negative score last year that was probably a score less than 10 two years ago which would have hurt just as much.
Hey lads, i was hoping to re-start the keeper league as well, is there any interest here? I've got 3 or 4 that i know from the leagues who are keen, and was thinking of making it a little different to last time with keepers being cycled back into FA's after X amount of time to hopefully keep players more engaged.. Also definitely agree the scoring needs to be looked at again. Would prefer something closer to the old system than the new, and that is the system i would look to use in setting up a keeper league. Hey all My preference is to stay with ESPN at this stage unless I can be convinced there's a better way that doesn't require too much work to change everything over. And is there an update on the activation of the TS Leagues? Great to have bball back! Missed you all!
I figure the draft will be on sunday the 20th at night as we normally do a Sunday. Is ant the only one who had access to the leagues? We need to send out an email to everyone to confirm numbers and we’d probably need to get that done in the next week to be able to set everything up
