Wonder if the sport experts can come up with a way to prevent these, so many careers affected by single "insignificant" acts.. sad --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCANS have confirmed that Melbourne midfielder Maddy Guerin has sustained an ACL injury to her left knee. The 20-year-old went down with the injury in the second quarter of her side’s five-point loss to St Kilda on Friday night. “Unfortunately, today’s scans confirmed that Maddy suffered an ACL injury as she attempted to change direction during Friday night’s game,” AFLW Football Manager Daniel McPherson told Melbourne Media.
Playing in summer rather than winter and therefore playing on harder grounds must be a contributing factor to the spate of ACLs. I certainly hope that there is a massive decrease over time in ACLs as I would hate to see 30 or so players out with the same injury when the season eventually gets to 20 or so games long.

https://womens.afl/news/51720/what-was-behind-melbourne-s-trade-strategy- The article make some interesting points. I am not convinced that the rationale rings completely true.
Looks like most teams are now settled with their lists going into the draft. Some big names moved teams over the last couple of weeks and like you TTH I am not convinced the Dees got it right, but time will tell. Time to start thinking of list retention for the Krushers....
