https://www.gwsgiants.com.au/news/850464 Thankfully it sounds like Brid Stack will be OK after the injury received in the weekends practice match round.
https://womens.afl/news/56099/crows-gun-cops-record-ban-at-tribunal-for-front-on-hit Marinoff cops 3 week ban for hit on Brid Stack.....
Terrible outcome from the hit but saw the footage via Crows’ Twitter and thought it was incredibly harsh. They will certainly appeal and no doubt but it public for the uproar because it is a case of outcome over action IMO.
Pomona isn’t too worried. It will give one of our fringe midfielders the opportunity they deserve, and Marinoff will be rested and cherry ripe come finals time.
The problem for Pomona is that it takes two fringe midfielders to replace Noffy who averaged a world record 107 ppg last year and those first 3 rounds include matches against the ever dangerous Galahs and two of last year’s top 3 on the ladder. Starting fast is definitely a must so Numphs fans everywhere will be hoping the appeal reduces or quashes the sentence.
Mikayla Hyde has been added to the Dockers 2021 list. She will be added to TS Stats as a MID shortly, however she is not eligible to be drafted in the current ORFFW draft given she was not in the player pool prior to pick 1 being made. https://womens.afl/news/55196/the-replacements-who-s-earned-a-spot-on-your-club-s-list-
Just catching up to the late flurry of new players since the quoted post, all will be MID only and be available for selection in the 2021 ORFFW Supplementary draft Katelyn Pope (WCE) - (for Mhicca Carter) Georgia Bevan (GCS) - (Jacquie Yorston) Paige Trudgeon (CARL) - (Chloe Dalton)
TEAMS: Gun Blue to miss blockbuster, father-daughter Pie to debut (womens.afl) Round 1 teams for Thursday night and it looks like some big names missing for both sides Pound, McEvoy, Rowe, Brazill and more !!
