Based on a tweeted response tonight ShePlays intends to stick to their original 2 changes per round (as per 2020) and will backdate points scored in any delayed fixture to the round from which a game was postponed from (as they appear to do in their English Premier League Women's offerings).

Please remember teams for 2 Sunday games won't be known at ShePlays full lockout so consider the risks involved in trading players in and out based on incomplete information prior to taking any course of action.

A massive week for this weeks leader to jump from nowhere to first ahead of @stephen247

this is the week to do some number crunching and identify the top 5-10 options at each price point as trade in targets then figure out the ideal strategy.

from memory what worked for me last year was to cut any 45k plus players who were lagging a little (plus rookies) and to bring in 2 players who were 25-40k and smashing it out of the park. This year given the higher salary cap sideways trading may be more of an optimal way to go.

The challenge is to avoid the 2 week wonders and to nail the 2021 bolters.

even though you said you don't have enough time to have a team this year, it seems like you're putting more time into it than me and I do have a team hahah

Hardly mate, a 5 minute post barely compares to the time I spent crunching data last year.

I will try to get time tonight for some analysis of positions for the AFLW Fantasy comp as it appears difficult to find value in forwards and defence

In the meantime here is the data I have been collecting from the TS website since 2019, as well as data from other sources such as RMC (@Peter W) hopefully it is helpful in choosing your team prior to the partial or full lockout (not sure which) !!

I spent time over the last few months getting all the AFLW stats up-to-date as well, so each of the player profiles should be accurate for AFLW stats too. I've heard the WAFLW may have stats this year, and if so, we will be keen to do that and include the SANFLW stats just so everything is in one place.

Its not - was only after the first game because they had server issues Friday before lock. Will be full lockout each week when the first game commences.

I only just noticed these posts.

How’s everyone going in the AFLWfantasy comp?

I totally stuffed up my starting team. I should’ve spent more time checking player news. I was out camping with very little phone reception so it was hard. I had Ash Brazill and Jacqui Yorston who are both out for weeks, which I assume would’ve been known before first lockout if I’d checked properly. I also had Sarah Hartwig who wasn’t named round 1 :(
Silly mistakes. So I ended up with a fairly low score round 1 :(

Now I’ve had to use my trades on fixups, instead of on trades I’d like to do, cause I’ve also got a few players out this week like Nina Morrison, Chloe Molloy, Claudia Whitford, and Kate Lutkins!

Even though Lutkins is out for the season, I’ve kept her because the Brisbane game has been postponed, so I’ll get her 2 points equal to what she scored round 1 before her injury. 2 points is better than a donut! Haha! I’ll likely trade her next week.

I traded out Whitford, Brazill, and Yorston.
Leaves me with 3 players out this week, Molloy, Morrison & Hartwig, who are all on my bench and hopefully won’t be needed.

Login issues, lack of free time and some questionable coaching decisions saw my side in the low 900's.

I am chasing points now and decided to trade in Orla O'Dwyer and Captain her for Round 2 to lock in 106, while overlooking the common trade ins of Birch, Ferguson and Jones instead trading in T White StK and Isabella Eddey from NM to join the Lions star winger in my side.

I expect to push up strongly in the middle to latter stages but with 1700 coaches competing the aim is to be top 100-300 by the end of the season.

Not bad first round with 1060, this week looks like a buzz killer though.

I traded in Orla too, but I didn’t think to captain her! That’s a great idea, well done, I wish I’d thought of that.
My cap was Marinoff who scored just 70 :(

Great start, right up there on the leaderboard. Hopefully this week isn’t as bad as you think

1036 first week then 884 second week here :(
Not much time for thinking last week, which will probably continue, and spent trades replacing Huntington and Wilson.
Left Dalton in thinking she'd be back but she wasn't.
Didn't think of picking up O'Dwyer, smart.
