It only took till round 2 for covid chaos to arrive. Let's hope there's not too much of it. Korean Kickers @Chloe (0-2) vs Lagos Royals @Peter W (1-1) ==> last time they met Lagos won by 106 Looks like the close matches will keep coming for Lagos. The Kickers haven't been getting the results they wanted, but their form still looks good and this should be a good game. Kyoto Kruisers @FreoDockers (1-1) vs Stuttgart Storm @TheTassieHawk (1-1) ==> last time they met Stuttgart won by 51 Two teams with even records should make things interesting. The Kruisers will be keen to try to get a win over the reigning premiers but the Storm have shown they know how to stay near the top of the ladder. Las Vegas Legends @Pearcey47 (0-2) vs Lima Llamas (2-0) ==> last time they met Las Vegas won by 13 Things aren't getting any easier for the Legends who are facing the 2-0 Llamas. There is some disunity in Lima, with Emma Swanson set to miss a game for rough conduct against fellow Llama Kalinda Howarth. It could be all Las Vegas need to get season up and running. Vancouver Vixens @dmandrews (2-0) vs FKA Canberra Conservatives @CamCamMan88 (1-1) ==> last time they met Vancouver squeezed home by 1 point in the GWFFPL's inaugural round of matches The Vixens are playing like they've got something to prove this year, after their heart-breaking Grand Final loss in 2021. Taking them on is a big ask for Canberra and their new coach, but they seem up for the challenge.
thanks @hoschke118 As the saying goes we will plan for the worst and hope for the best regarding COVID postponements and cancellations for the remainder of the 2022 Premier League season In that vein each week we will provide an updated list of indicative AFLW alignments for coaches to draw upon in the event that a postponement is declared PRIOR TO 9pm on Friday night, if that does not occur the alignment remains indicative only and no topups should be selected or named to play. Can all coaches please read this post and then like the post so that we know you have seen and undertstand the content. The Llamas switch from NM to RICH, while the Kruisers switch from GWS to the Lions. The Storm, Canberra, Royals and Legends have unchanged alignments. Please refer to the above in the eventuality that there is an AFLW postponement advised prior to 9pm on Friday night, otherwise it can be ignored. Please note that any AFLW postponements advised after 9pm on Friday night will not result in topups being accessed, this will be detailed later in the thread. Thanks TTH
Topups overview Can all coaches please read this post and then like the post so that we know you have seen and undertstand the content. The Premier League topup process used in Round 2 has been tweaked and modified. It remains a 1:1 replacement, but injured and non selected players from the previous week are not excluded from the calculation and topup players can be selected from any postion and be named anywhere in the weekly squad of 18 that the coach prefers. If the postponed game is advised prior to Friday 9pm topups for that game apply, and if the postponed game involves 2 of the above Premier League aligned AFLW teams then the 2 Premier League teams involved must choose either North Melbourne of GWS as their updated AFLW alignment partner. If the postponed game is advised after Friday 9pm then topuops for that game do not apply and instead an AWARDED SCORE will be allocated based on the players current 2022 average times a % scaling factor (the scaling factor has not yet been determined). Either 1 or 2 postponements in any given round will see the Premier League carry on for the week irrespective of when the postponements were advised, however if a 2nd postponement occurs please be sure to heasd to this thread and await further directions from either @FreoDockers or myself. If there are 3 postponements in any given round then the round wil be cancelled and played in place of the currently scheduled Round 8 so that we maintain a full home and away round robin where very sides plays each other prior to the finals. Please note that @FreoDockers and myself have put quite a bit of effort into this with the expectation that it can enable us to have fun and provide continuity in challenging circumstances, The bottom line is that coaches are required to have familiarity with how the postponement topup system works and be more engaged throughout the early part of the weekend due to the potential COVID impacts as far as rolling team selections, HSP's and potential postponements at short notice than would otherwise be the case. Please ask questions as you need but most of all have FUN, enjoy the footy and DO NOT feel any pressure at all to prioritise the comp over real life which always comes first. @FreoDockers and I will advise at the earliest possible time if these are any further tweaks to the topup system for the post midseason draft period and Premier League Finals Series.
R3 FIXTURE UPDATE: Two matches postponed, Tuesday night clash confirmed (womens.afl) @Pearcey47 and @FreoDockers Due to the above there is an immediate change to the indicative topups posted earlier this week @Pearcey47 - the Legends are now aligned with NM http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...=FA&team=NTH&tsLeagueId=22&sort=ave&desc=desc @FreoDockers - the Kruisers are now aligned with GWS for the 2nd week running http://tooserious.net/forum/stats.p...=FA&team=GWS&tsLeagueId=22&sort=ave&desc=desc The other 6 sides indicative alignments for this week remain as follows WCE (Strom), Adelaide (Conservatives), Melb (Kickers), St Kilda (Vixens) and Tigers (Llamas) The Llamas @hoschke118 were aligned with NM last week and swapped to the Tigers, so if the Llamas and Legends wish to mutually agree a swap of NM and Richmond alignments for Round 3, please post below prior to Friday @9pm, otherwise these are set.
Ok we have an update for everyone to follow Friday@9pm = deadline for further postponements (still in place) Saturday@10.30am = deadline for re-scheduling of GCS vs WB (7th game) Sunday@110pm = full round lockout So how this will work is if another game is postponed prior to 9pm tomorrow we get additonal topups = 2 lots, or just 1. If we get the 7th game scheduled this week prior to 10.30am on Saturday then we won't go with topups, otherwise we will, noting that once each game locksout the topup window finishes for 2 teams per game therafter. Teams can be tinkered with through to Sunday 110pm noting that due to the 110pm Sunday lockout we will all be blind to the Tuesday teams to be announced on Monday night as well as the 7th game if it is held. So get your team set up to field as many players from Friday-Sunday as possible in case the Tuesday game is tough on teams selection due to HSP's.
Lagos Royals: D: Jess Duffin, Nat Grider, Stacey Livingstone (Phoebe Monahan) M: Tyla Hanks, Lily Mithen, Catherine Phillips, Ebony Marinoff (Courtney Rowley) R: Caitlin Gould (Kim Rennie) F: Cora Staunton, Emma King, Ann McMahon (Darcy Vescio) I: Maddison Gay, Elise O'Dea (Dana East) Ann McMahon and Dana East the top-ups. I read the above as top-ups can be played on field, so have put McMahon ahead of Vescio but it's a much of a muchness, so happy to swap if not. Knowing my luck I'll probably lose a couple more to COVID at some point.

Three of the 4 away sides managed victories as the 2022 Premier League ladder continued to take shape. The Kickers @Chloe opened their 2022 account with a strong win over Lagos which evened their Head to Head at 1 apiece. The Storm managed their second successive H2H win over the Kruisers. The Conservatives @CamCamMan88 gained revenge on the Vixens from their 2021 clash, and moved back into the top 4 due to their win against the previous ladder leaders who remain in 2nd position. Lima @hoschke118 evened the H2H with Las Vegas at 1-1 and moved to the top of the ladder by improving it's perfect record to 3-0.
