    Korean Kickers (2-4) v Kyoto Kruisers (3-3)
    ===> last time they met Korea won by 137
    The last placed Kickers take on the 4th placed Kruisers for the Kim Kardashian Cup! Korea will be looking to halt their 2 game losing streak whilst the Cruisers will be hoping they do not continue alternating wins and losses like they have so far this season.

    Lima Llamas (4-2) v Canberra Conservatives (3-3)
    ===> last time they met Lima won by 23
    2nd takes on 3rd in the match of the round between the Llamas and the Conservatives. Both teams are coming off a loss last week and would be eager to get back on the winners list, hopefully securing a finals spot at the same time. The Llamas will have to try and cover the loss of one of their most improved players this season, Tarni White.

    Las Vegas Legends (3-3) v Vancouver Vixens (2-4)
    ===> last time they met Vancouver won by 105
    The Legends will be hoping the can keep their winning streak alive in this week’s game against the Vixens. The Vixens are on a 4 game losing streak and they will be hoping they can get another W soon to avoid falling further down the ladder and in to contention for the wooden spoon.

    Stuttgart Storm (4-2) v Lagos Royals (3-3)
    ===> last time they met Stuttgart won by 45
    The Storm have climbed to the top of the ladder and have a game in hand (with Lima) over the chasing pack. The Royals are part of the 4-team group sitting on 3 wins and 3 losses so they will be looking to separate themselves and catapult in to finals calculations.

    In the event that a bye or postponement is declared PRIOR TO 9pm FRIDAY NIGHT (Melb time), topups may apply for the round,

    Can all coaches please read this post and then like the post so that we know you have seen and understand the content.

    The Premier League topup process used in Rounds 3, 4 and 5 has been discontinued. Expanded squads plus observation from Rounds 2-5 means that the system is now pared back.

    While there are no further AFLW club alignments, instead the top-up pool will be drawn from clubs playing AFLW matches on Sunday/Monday each week, and the new system will apply for rounds 6-8 and during Premier League finals.

    Instead of a 1:1 replacement, the following applies with players ruled out for the 2022 season excluded from the calculation.

    1 or 2 missing = no replacements in most cases, however in extreme circumstances a team may apply for 1 replacement (from Sunday and Monday AFLW squads) provided that the request is made by 9pm Friday night (Melbourne time), with TTH and FD responding by no later than 12 noon on the Saturday, noting that the answer is highly likely to be a NO.

    3 missing = 1 replacement from Sunday and Monday AFLW squads, selected by posting in the thread, first in best dressed
    4 missing = 2 replacements from Sunday and Monday AFLW squads (must be from the same AFLW club), first in best dressed
    5 or more missing = 3 replacements from Sunday and Monday AFLW squads, which is the maximum, all must be from the same AFLW club, first in best dressed

    Topup players are selected by coaches commencing from 9.01pm on the Friday night until the full round lockout applies. First in best dressed.

    Topups can be selected from any position and be named anywhere in the weekly squad of 18 that the coach prefers.

    If the postponed game is advised prior to Friday 9pm topups for that game apply.

    If the postponed game is advised after Friday 9pm then topups for that game do not apply and instead an AWARDED SCORE will be allocated based on the players current 2022 average times a % scaling factor of 75%.

    Either 1 or 2 postponements in any given home and away round will see the Premier League carry on for the week irrespective of when the postponements were advised, however if a 2nd postponement occurs please be sure to head to this thread and await further directions from either @FreoDockers or myself.

    If there are 3 postponements in any given home and away round then the round will be cancelled and played in place of the currently scheduled Round 8 so that we maintain a full home and away round robin where very sides plays each other prior to the finals.

    As advised previously coaches are required to have familiarity with how the postponement topup system works and be more engaged throughout the early part of the weekend due to the potential COVID impacts as far as rolling team selections, HSP's and potential postponements at short notice than would otherwise be the case.

    Please ask questions as you need but most of all have FUN, enjoy the footy and DO NOT feel any pressure at all to prioritise the comp over real life which always comes first.

    So in reference to the above GWFFPL topups do apply for Round 7, for missing Fremantle players only, selected from North Melbourne, Collingwood or Melbourne only, but not on a 1 for 1 basis, refer above for clarification.

    Further the Thursday GCS vs Brisbane match is the first game of the round and the Monday Melbourne vs Brisbane game is the last, with Melbourne players scores only counted as Brisbane players have played on the Thursday and do not get a DGW.

    The Storm selection committee have named the side to take on the Royals @Peter W in our Round 7 matchup.

    There are 2 changes due to return of players from HSP stints and a plan to play 2 rucks
    • Garnett replaces Verrier
    • Anne Tighe replaces Grace Egan
    Note that this team is subject to change, with Tighe considering missing the game to attend a rave in Berlin.

    Def = TLR, Garnett, Koenen (Watson)
    Mid = Webster, Gavalas, Ridell, Gavalas (O'Dea)
    Fwd = Woodland, O’Dwyer, McEvoy (B Brown)
    Ruck = L Pearce (Egan)
    IC = Parker, Tighe (Georgostathis)

    2nds - T Brown, Cann
    Injured/HSP - Newton, Sheriff, Verrier

    At 3/4 time the home side Stuttgart 10/778 have built a 218 point lead over the visiting Lagos @Peter W 9/560.

    The Storm's Riddell and Gavalas will look to hold off the efforts of the Royals' Livingstone and Emma King before Stuttgart's Lauren Pearce completes proceedings against the duo of Hanks and Mithen.

    Winners this week (round 7) were Lima @hoschke118 by 76, Kyoto @FreoDockers by 91, Las Vegas @Pearcey47 by 104 and the Storm by 131.

    Lima and Stuttgart are now assured of a finals berth with a round to play 3rd (Kyoto) plays 4th (Las Vegas) in Round 8 with both team's finals chances on the line with Canberra @CamCamMan88 and Lagos @Peter W looking to make the 4 with a win in the final week.

    Vancouver @dmandreand Korea @Chloe are now out of the running but will be looking to shape the finals race and finish season 2022 of the Premier League off on a high, while being hopeful of avoiding the 2022 wooden spoon.

    The competition MVP is now a race in 2 with Anne Hatchard of the Legends @Pearcey47 on 29 votes, 3 ahead of Ebony Marinoff @Peter W of the Royals on 26.

    The respective coaches will be hoping for another round of huge scoring from these guns with the Legends and Royals finals hopes resting on their star players strong shoulders.

    Round 8 will commence on Saturday.
