Hello coaches and welcome to the 2023 ORFFW draft, commencing 10am EST on Saturday. If we can all be on at least 5 minutes before (and please make yourself known when you are on and ready!) then we can hopefully push through as many picks as we can as we have 96 to get through in a pretty short space of time. As per previous live drafts we will have a 5 minute time limit between picks. We are all pretty experienced at drafts by now, so this time limit shouldn’t be an issue, and the admins don’t want to have to nudge or push for the selections to happen. @everyone The board has discussed this and we feel it’s ok to start drafting, but no time limits on the picks will apply until the official start time of 10am AEST on Saturday. That means, @Len you can start us off whenever you’re ready. But it’s fine to wait until Saturday morn if you prefer.
So FYI I'll be around, just have an awkward driving time that will probably be until 10:15am, from there I'll be at the footy so I'll be able to keep checking regularly, I just might have that slight delay to start, but I'm the last pick in the first round at least.
I have just sent a PM Conversation to all coaches, as follows: Hi everyone, As you all would know, the ORFFW draft commences at 10am AEST today! That’s 30 min from now. The draft will be taking place HERE and you will also find all relevant info about the draft in that thread, such as time limits to make your selections etc. We will be getting as much done today until 12pm! And then changing to much longer time limits, so anyone can get going at 12 if they need. We believe the site has been set up better this year to handle the increased traffic for a live draft, but please refrain from constantly refreshing the webpage because we hope to avoid any crashes. Fair enough to repeatedly refresh when it’s coming up to your pick. There are lists of all free agents here and also here. And if you’re looking for their 2022 averages, here is a link to Free Agents from 2022 with their averages but the list contains AFLW delisted and retired players and excludes all of the newly drafted AFLW players.
