    Round 17 Date 03.08.2018 – AFL Round 20
    THEME: Fellowship Round
This has proven to be such a great experience, so once again, we would like to propose that at an agreed time when everyone can participate, that we all raise a glass (or a cuppa) to the other seventeen ORFFA coaches and acknowledge what a fantastic group of people have got together to have fun.

Wagga Wagga Wombats v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties
    Gundagai Grasshoppers v Gariwerd Cockatoos
Foul Bay Chickens v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Darraweit Guim Dirigibles v Venus Bay Vultures
Nunawading Nuffers v Wineglass Bay Packers
Birdsville Battlers v Charlies Opening Spelunkers
Cradle Mountain Devils v Whitsunday Warriors
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Mount Beauty Uglies
Iron Knob Codpieces v Marble Bar Misfits

Last chance saloon for some teams, here's the ladder prior to the final H&A round

Well I have a ruckman. Pity that couldn't have happened in the past 3-4 weeks. Alas, it is probably too late.

In other news, all my backmen have gone so i virtually have to replace them all, which is hilarious!

We definitely have to. Even if it is virtually or just via this thread.

It is great being a part of this league, enjoy it and the fellowship of fellow coaches hugely.

    Agreed :)

Usually we pick a time at half time of a game.

    @snoz @graeme @TerryinBangkok

Suits me as well, around 11pm here so it might be glass of port? However, will defer to TiB if that time does not suit as he might be at the local supermarket complex doing the pre-weekend shopping. :D

    mmmm, port.

There's a bottle of Rutherglen's finest sitting at home (actually, more than one). There's now a desire to consume some at the appropriate time.

Darraweit team for the do or die final role of the dice last chance saloon better do better than last week match against the (gulp) Vultures

Outs: Everyone in defence not named Aliir (Savage and Adams injured, May suspended) ... Phil Davis x 0.5, Lyons (why)
Ins: Rance, Astbury, Phil Davis x 1, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Ryan Abbott for a debut in the ruck.

DEF: Rance, Astbury, Davis, Aliir (DBJ)
MID: Cogs, WHE, Goddard, Lewis (Cunico)
    RUCK: Abbott (Smith)
    FWD: Brown, Anderson, Gunston, Shedda
    I/C: Caddy Walters (Newnes)

Thank God I drafted Davis those extra defenders... and Abbott. Let's give this thing one more shot and see if we can earn a finals berth.

Hopefully most of these 15 players will be back in 2019. But in the 2017 pre-season and trade period there were sacrifices made with players and draft picks being traded, and I think to step forward again there are going to have to be further tough decisions made at the trade table.

Either way, its been an unexpectedly enjoyable rollercoaster this season.

The Nuffers are looking forward to the visit of the Wineglass Bay side @Tracey

Our side is provisional only until Friday night culling of 8 man interchanges as we have a couple of maybes (Joyce, Petrucelle and Kent) with Honeychurch a possibility to be a late change into the named squad of 19 shortly before lockout as we move the names around on the whiteboard.

Time is limited so I plan to post my side here early on Saturday.

Spelunkers team for the final round, don't think I can move position unless @TheTassieHawk scores 2300 and a win.

I have already selected the 6 going to be delisted... so no one playing for their spot this week... some might be playing for a spot in another persons team though!

Cradle Mountain Devils Round 17 2018 team vs Whitsunday Warriors

    In: A Naughton
    Out: P Seedsman (hamstring)

    Def: M Hurley, N Vlastuin, H Himmelberg, A Naughton (B Cox)
    Mid: S Pendlebury, D Heppell , D Zorko, J Redden (J Hopper)
    Ruck: T Nankervis
    Fwd: T Lynch, J Gresham, T Membrey, A McDonald-Tipungwuti (D Menzel)
    Int: D Zaharakis , J Steele (J Roughead)

One forced change for the Devils due to Seedsman missing with a hamstring injury, he has been replaced by first-year player Aaron Naughton. After only winning two of their first seven games of 2018 Cradle Mountain have rebounded to win seven of their last nine games to remain in contention to make the finals entering the final round. In eight of their last nine games CMD have scored over 1,300 points, the exception was an injury-hit 1,075 in the last game before the mid-season break.

    MIDFIELDERS

    RUCKS
    Patrick Ryder
    FORWARDS
Devon Smith, Orazio Fantasia, Matthew Deboer, Caleb Daniel - Daniel Venables
    INTERCHANGE
Tom HICKEY, Hugh Greenwood - Stefan Giro

Here it is, zip from 3 made the 22 so Nuffers cover are all emergencies. Selectors were obviously drunk to name Dow oop in the ruck with Menadue named on the interchange.

Sorry, I hadn’t read this thread all day so missed Snoz’s proposed time and ensuing discussion.
Seems like a night game is best for Snoz and Graeme at opposite ends of the day.

So tomorrow night it has to be.
Both games tomorrow night start at the same time as each other, so let’s aim for half time of both those games.
