To keep up with all of our future trades, I'm going to start posting updates of upcoming drafts and how they stand based on trades to date.
As of yesterday, the 2019 MSD is effected by the following trades:

    • 2018 MST6 Christmas Island R1 to Pakenham
    • 2018 MST7 Staghorn R1 to Ararat
    • 2018 MST7 Ararat R1 to Staghorn
    • 2018 MST8 Ararat R2 to Coolgardie
    • 2018 MST9 Christmas Island R2 to Coolgardie
    • 2018 MST10 Hughenden R2 to Groote
    • 2018 MST11 Ararat R3 to Groote

    Which results in the following:

Nice job, @insider but just one little thing that I'm aware of that needs to be changed.....Banchang has Nuytsland's 1st rd pick not Southern Cross's.as per the Auction thread.
    1) Banchang offered up Nic Newman, winning bid of 2019 MSD R1 came from Nuytsland.

    @insider
While I appreciate your efforts, if it takes you four attempts to get this right, then do you need someone else to go over it just to make sure you haven't made a fifth mistake???

...and yeah, thanks. I have an updated copy on my spreadsheet, just hadn't gotten around to posting it (read: completely slipped my mind)

Hey all, when are we doing the MSD? Will it be tied into the AFL MSD? hopefully the week after? Just thinking there will be new players to choose from after the AFL MSD.

I would assume that the MSD would be held sometime towards the end of the Rd12-14 bye period, which would allow for Trading to occur prior to it.
The bye period starts Monday 3rd June and ends Wednesday 26th June with Rd 15 commencing Thursday, 27th June.

The AFL MSD is being held on Monday 27th May.

I'm sure @JPK is all over it....

Thanks for the vote of confidence Chops, but I'm not exactly all over it.
Its still a few weeks away... and I don't even know what I'm going to do tomorrow!

The ORFFU MS trades and Draft will always occur during the bye weeks, when we don't have 'FU matches.
If the AFL MSD occurs before this, then all those players will be available for selection.

I'll get around to putting up firm dates in the coming fortnight.

Prior to the Mid Season silliness commencing, I have the following draft order. Please let me know if anyone disagrees with their picks, or any other picks.

Mid season draft order as follows.

    upload_2019-6-17_18-47-44.png

Please let me know if you don't agree with the picks available to you or any other club.

Finalised order will be posted as soon as coaches bring their lists down to <28 players, otherwise I'll be doing it myself :mad::mad:

Yes you can, but no team can have more than 28 players, and any picks that were not live can not be used in trade discussions.

So, not that I am going to do it, if I traded a player out now for a PSD pick, do I get back into the MSD? I would think no, considering the other thread about losing MSD picks once the MSD starts.

I reckon this is where it gets messy. If we are saying that only live picks can be used then we should not be able to complete uneven trades during the draft if they require a new pick to be allocated at the back end. Muddy waters

You will get an MSD pick at the end of the current draft if you need one. So we currently have 36 active picks, yours would become the 36th (but probably numbered around 40-odd) because the other coach now needs one less pick, but you have none available (because they were all voided at delistment time)

    Does this make sense?

Yeah, it does get messy, and it would be better if coaches just don't do this, but if they must, then we need to have some clarity over what will happen.

I'm not throwing the toys out but surely if only live picks can be traded then only live picks can be used. A trade creating list space is much the same as delisting a player to make list space as the only difference is rather than going out on bin night the player ends up at another club. Happy however to abide by any ruling.
