Auction rules: 1. All players or picks to be auctioned should be listed with a closing day/time. 2. All players or picks being auctioned cannot be pulled before that day/time. 3. No asset being auctioned should be the subject of private trade negotiations nor used as part of a bid in another auction, until the auction of the asset has reached it's conclusion/closing time, with or without a sale. 4. Stating a reserve, or a preferred return type for the auctioned asset is voluntary. 5. The reserve is not reached on any asset until the seller says so. 6. Once a reserve has been reached the seller has the option to adjust the auction length, but to no less than 48 hours, or the end of the trade period, whichever is the lesser. 7. As soon as practical after receiving multiple bids on an asset the seller should indicate whom is in front, any reasoning is optional. 8. All auctions are final and irreversible unless via subsequent mutually agreed trade. 9. Once a bid is tabled the bid is live until rejected OR deemed beaten by the person conducting the auction, it cannot be materially altered once tabled. 10. No bid can be conditional on outcomes not directly related to the auction at hand.
With the rule changes I may as well get in early... let's go fishing. Up for Auction is the Spelunkers 2021 PSD first round pick. This pick would be perfect for those of you with a bit more of a long term vision, and is likely to be in the top 5, unless a) we improve a lot next year (we will improve but not a lot) or b) a few of the other sides turn into faecal matter (always a chance with the amount of it that gets thrown around in here). Ideally I am looking for 2020 PSD draft picks ,or players under 23 that are not spuds (that definition is solely at my discretion not yours). Combinations of players and picks (both 2020/2021 PSD and/or 2020 MSD) are absolutely welcome for evaluation, as are trades also involving players in my existing squad. I currently possess 2020 PSD picks 3,18, 21, 39, 72, 75, 93, 111 Auction to close Monday 7 October at 9pm AEDST, or 48 hours after reserve is met, whichever comes first.
@Bandit I thought auctions had to state clearly what was up for auction and bidders had the right to ask for one of the auctioneers additional draft picks back but not a player ?
Hi mate, What is up for auction is my 2021 first round pick. I'll happily defer to the masses @Len @Fitzy ? in terms of picks vs player trading... given we are between playing seasons I don;t believe there are any restrictions as the next list quota we need to meet is prior to PSD kick off in the new year. I'll also ask clarification on offer acceptance/rejection but my understanding was if someone makes me an offer that includes other assets, I can evaluate that offer on it's merits to see if it meets reserve, however I can't negotiate that offer. Eg: you offer me your 2020 PSD Round 1 and Round 2 in exchange for my 2021 PSD round 1 and Marcus Bontempelli... I can't say 'You have a deal if you swap out the Bont for Zac Merrett', all I can say is that 'reserve not met', and optionally state a reason why which would be limited to "The Bont is not for trade". Can someone confirm?
Hit enter too soon. This is correct, essentially the seller cannot negotiate, they can simply accept or reject an offer and have the option to state why. A bidder has the ability to be somewhat creative. 6.13 A bid can ask that other assets of the auctioneer be considered for return value adjustment within their bid Read more at http://tooserious.net/forum/threads...rms-and-conditions.90206/#xviIrCcGbePdQZKD.99
Thanks for the bid Mike, reserve not met. Don’t see a huge amount of upside with Cousins compared to existing midfield options
I’ll add Tom Sparrow... For Bandit’s 2021 PSD 1st Lefties bid 2020 MSD 1st and 2021 PSD 2nd and Tom Sparrow
Find it hard to believe that there has only been one bidder on a first round draft pick. Such is life 8 hours to go.
