    ORFFW Round 5
    1910 AEST Fri 26/2 - 1710 Sun 28/2

Georgia Geeniuses vs Sandgate Sugar Gliders
Another bottom of table grind out. No winners here, probably a 300 a piece draw.

Glenbrook Galahs vs Vivonne Bay Valkeries
Galahs need this to stay in the hunt, perfect time for the bye.

    Legana Legends vs Manildra Mystix
Blockbuster 7v8 matchup (spoken with Elliot Goblet enthusiasm). Form line says: stuffed if I know.

    Pomona Nymphs vs Katanning Krushers
Sort of like a real blockbuster, but probably still one-sided spanking. Prove me wrong Nymphs.

    Scone Sirens vs Bathurst Belles
Dog house cup. No matter the result, Len is the loser.

Timboon Trailblazers vs Lake St Clair Devils
Both sides coming home with... some sort of nautical analogy. Devils looking to bounce back after an embarrassing arse-meet-platter showing.

As stated previously Legana @Pearcey47 are a tough side to meet at Bulman Drive and so far this match is showing that the Legends are once again here to play.

Unofficial half time progress scores have the visitors ahead 8/420 to the home side 6/335. Legana has Tyanna Smith, Mules and Shelley Scott running out in the early Sunday games against Manildra's Randall, Dillan, Hore and 50% of new recruit Jacquie Parry.

The Legends will be looking to finish strong with the quartet of Lewis, Laurie, Atkins and Single determined to over-run the Mystix lead, with only Ali Drennan running out for the opposition.

A rather close ending with Glenbrook on 662 (50.9 av) but Vivonne Bay held to 630 (48.5 av).
The Galahs' special defensive curse continues with Bresland and Heath scoring lowly... while Laloifi put up 49 on the bench. New recruit Levi was impressive, making a case for the starting side with a 58. As Bonnici and Blackburn are apparently getting tired of heroics and sliding back towards their 2020 averages, will the Galahs' re-entry to the top 4 be as short-lived as the last one? Time will tell.

Round 5 of ORFFW fantasy football saw every single match go down to the wire with the winners being the Belles @Len, Galahs @ver_redit_optatum, Mystix, Gliders @Tiny_doughnut, Krushers @FreoDockers and Devils @dmandrews by 22, 32, 37, 38, 57 and 60 points respectively – an average of only 41 points.

Sandgate edged out Georgia @marconofrio to earn their first W of 2021 in a match which pivoted when star GEEniuses player Aisling McCarthy was a late withdrawal, and the Belles also opened their account and left their opponents finals chances much worse off with a famous victory over the Sirens @Tracey in the Dog House Cup. Despite prevailing in the tightest match this week Len's side posted their highest ever winning margin in the process as their sole 2020 victory was by only 12 points.

The Krushers 5th straight win has them on the verge of qualification for the 2021 finals series while the Devils win over Timboon @Peter W has them clear 2nd at 4-1 ahead of Scone who are now half a game ahead of a pack of 4 teams tied at 3-2. The Gliders and Belles at 8th and 9th remain a mathematical but much slimmer than 1% chance of finishing 4th and the bottom 3 sides @Pearcey47 @That KI Guy @marconofrio can now officially (rather than unofficially) set their sights on ORFFW season 2022 while playing the spoiler role in their two remaining 2021 matches.

Please note that the Friday night match for Round 6 is a 510pm start so be sure to re-set your team at least an hour prior to the naming of Saturday teams which is usually about 540pm on Friday night.
