The four matchups for the final week of the 2021 regular season see the following

    Lima Llamas @hoschke118 (3-3, 5th) vs Vancouver Vixens @dmandrews (5-1, 4818 points scored, 1st)
A South American/North American derby where the ladder leaders remain in control of their own destiny but will be anxiously watching the results of other games if they fail to beat the home side. If points scored come into play a big score will see the Vixens needing to make up deficits of 20 and 31 points respectively to the Kickers and Storm, while the Llamas will be keen to win this to finish with a winning season at 4-3.

    Lagos Royals @Peter W (2-4, 6th) vs Korean Kickers @Chloe (4-2, 4838 points scored, 3rd)
The path to the Grand Final for the Kickers is simple - win their 4th straight and score better than the Storm, or win and score about the same as the Vixens if the ladder leaders lose to Lima. It won’t be easy against the Royals who topped 4 digits last time out.

    Las Vegas Legends @Pearcey47 (4-2, 4th) vs Kyoto Kruisers @FreoDockers (2-4, 7th)
The Legends remain a chance to reach the big dance by winning their match and having the results of the Royals vs Kickers and Conservatives vs Storm matches both go the way of the home side. Kyoto will be tough opposition, and also can look forward to commencing Mad Monday on the glitter strip.

    Canberra Conservatives @bkp130 (0-6, 8th) vs Stuttgart Storm TTH (4-2, 4849 points scored, 2nd)
The Canberra side look to finish the season off on a high and knockoff the Storm who as above need a win and to break even with the Kickers tally to ensure a Grand Final berth.

    —————

A reminder of the early (510pm) Friday night start to the round and a full lockout for the Sunday 1240pm match.

    Good luck all.

Midway through the 3rd quarter the Storm lead Canberra 9/580 to 7/432.

The home side have Conti, Cordner and Seymour running out in the first game on Sunday and will be looking to hit the lead and put scoreboard pressure on the visitors.

Another trio in Huntington, Toogood and Sarah Allan will complete the week for Canberra in the middle game against Kirsty Lamb for Stuttgart.

Steph Cain and Daisy and Lauren Pearce will be chasing the Conservatives lead unopposed in the final match of the round as they look to secure the 4 points for their side.

Unofficial scores have the Storm winners by 132 points over Canberra @bkp130, 832 to 700. We await news from other matches to see where that leaves our side at the end of the home and away rounds.

The Vancouver Vixens have defeated the Lima Llamas, my unofficial score is Vixens 799 to Llamas 559. The victory assures the Vixens of finishing in top spot and qualifying for the inaugural Premier League Grand Final.

The Vixens @dmandrews 240 point win over Lima @hoshke118 has seen them qualify for a deserved home GWFFPL Grand Final with an imposing 6-1 record.

Second placed Stuttgart and 3rd placed Korea managed wins over Canberra @bkp130 and Lagos @Peter W respectively. Both teams fought tooth and nail to join Vancouver in the big dance with matching 5-2 records and only 37 points scored different (a standard Kara Bowers quarter score) over the seasons 7 rounds. Coach @Chloe’s side were a force of nature over the season’s final 5 weeks and will no doubt be a strong contender in season 2021.

The Legends @Pearcey47 finished 4th to record a top half finish despite a final round loss by 155 points to the Kruisers @FreoDockers.

We thank all the Premier League coaches and in particular those new to the site who have made this seasons drafts and first ever Premier League regular season such an enjoyable one. And look forward to having you back for season 2022.

We also we look forward to seeing the Vixens and Storm vieing for the 2021 silverware while players from all Premier League clubs also run out in the 2021 Too Serious All Stars matches in AFLW Round 9 as a celebration of all of the AFLW stars across the competition both established and emerging.
