We are three rounds down, and the ladder is split into pairs! Teams are starting to separate out now, but still a long way to go in the season!

Korean Kickers @Chloe vs Lagos Royals @Peter W
The Kickers were devastatingly close to their first win for the season, going down by a solitary point to the Vultures. Lagos will be making the long journey across Asia in search of their second win. Korea will be hoping star midfielder Kiara Bowers can return to her all-conquering form, whilst the Royals will be hoping for more of the same from midfield ace Ebony Marinoff.

Kyoto Kruisers @FreoDockers vs Majorca Islanders @TheTassieHawk
A crucial clash between Kyoto and Majorca will see one of these teams vying for a top 2 berth, with both clubs locked on 2 wins so far. Home team Kyoto will be hoping some under-performing stars can bounce back after a disappointing round three, whilst the Islanders will need to replace star goal-kicker Tayla Harris up forward. A classic 8 point game here!

    Stuttgart Storm
@Jono Steven vs Darmstadt Dynamos @WillH_VI
The German Derby. The battle of the new boys. This top of the table clash between two long time mates could shape the season, as the reigning premier goes up against the competition's best defence. Stuttgart will be backing their star-studded midfield to get the job done once again, whereas the Dynamos will be looking to their stingy backline of Schleicher and Lynch to get them over the line.

    Vancouver Vultures
    @Athos123 vs Lima Llamas @hoschke118
The Americas Cup will see one of these teams climbing up the ladder, with the Vultures looking to use the home-ground advantage to move clear of the bottom of the table. Lima are still looking for their first win of the season, despite some strong midfield performances from superstars such as Emily Bates and Emma Swanson. Vancouver however will need to cover for some midfield injuries, with Jaimee Lambert's ankle in particular cause for concern.

Good luck to everyone this week!

    Lagos Royals:

DEF: Phoebe Monahan, Nat Grider, Jordyn Allen (Jess Duffin)
MID: Tyla Hanks, Georgia Patrikios, Ebony Marinoff, Hannah Ewings (Ellie McKenzie)
    RUC: Caitlin Gould (Emma King)
FWD: Aishling Sheridan, Cora Staunton, Darcy Vescio (Sabreena Duffy)
INT: Orla O'Dwyer, Charlie Rowbottom (Lily Mithen)

Coming off their first win, the Royals have brought back Phoebe Monahan (tonned up) for Sarah Hartwig, while Jess Duffin slots into the defensive emergency. Very tight squeeze for midfielder spots with Ellie McKenzie and Lily Mithen just missing.

The Kruisers @FreoDockers 853 have thumped the Islanders 711 to improve to 3-1 and set themselves up nicely for a strong tilt at the final 4.

Round 4 winners were the Kickers, Llamas, Dynamos, and Kyoto by 33, 49, 67 and 142 points respectively. @Chloe and @hoschke118 will be keen to build on that momentum after notching their first wins of season 2022B.

Darmstadt’s @WillH_VI clutch victory over Stuttgart @Jono Steven has them topping the table as the sole undefeated team at 4-0 and holding German Derby bragging rights for the time being. The Storm sit in 2nd position ahead of Kyoto @FreoDockers on points scored with the teams meeting in Round 5 clash that will all but secure finals qualification for the victor.

Majorca’s second consecutive loss has them at 2-2 and facing a tough challenge to hold off the 4 sides with 1-3 records in the bottom half of the table, with home games agaisnt Vancouver @Athos123 and Stuttgart followed by a road trip to Darmstadt and Lagos @Peter W in Rounds 7 and 8.
