We've hit the midpoint of the Premier League season and it is Midseason Blockbusters Round. Let's take a look at the matchups which are sure to be exciting.

    Darmstadt Dynamos (4th, 2-2) vs. Lima Llamas (6th, 1-1-2)

A massive game with finals implications early in the season, with both sides around the mark. The Llamas picked up their first win last week, though they are coming off the second lowest score of Round 4. Fortunately the team they played - the Kruisers were the lowest so they got the win. The Dynamos powered to a comfortable victory over the Vultures on the road. Tilly Lucas-Rodd and Bre Koenen in defence, as well as some midfielder named Ebony Marinoff go alright for the Dynamos. A real danger side this season. Can the Llamas go two in a row? Lucy Single and Alice O'Loughlin are a couple who will need big games. Injuries to Alyce Parker, Live Purcell and Bri Davey among others is just rough.

    Korean Kickers (8th, 1-3) vs. Vancouver Vultures (7th, 1-3)

The Kickers will be aptly kicking themselves after dropping the game to the Majorca Islanders by a point in Round 4, and will be hungry to get one over the Vultures. They would have cleared Vancouver last week, but a week is a long time in fantasy football. Injuries have hurt the Kickers thus far, though any side with Mon Conti, Jaimee Lambert and Emma Kearney cannot be taken lightly. The midfield of Abbie McKay, Anne Hatchard and Madison Prespakis is a brilliant one of the Vultures.

    Quebec Caribou (1st, 4-0) vs. Kyoto Kruisers (9th, 1-3)

With respect to the Kruisers, this looks like a North Melbourne vs Giants matchup based on last week, with Kyoto going in as heavy underdogs against the ladder leaders. The Caribou are firing on all cylinders and topped the ton, with the Kruisers losing to the previously winless Llamas and picked up the lowest score of the weekend. However can the underdogs have a backs-against-the-wall upset? The Carribou's lead by Ash Riddell, with Tyla Hanks also in ridiculous form. The Kruisers will need big performances from Georgie Prespakis and Montana Ham if they are to cause a monumental upset.

    Adelaide All-Stars (10th, 0-1-3) vs. Stuttgart Storm (5th, 2-2)

A big game for the All-Stars with time running out and they remain the only side without a win thus far. They would have beaten all bar four of the sides last week showing their competitiveness, but unfortunately ran into the Caribou. If they top 900 again they push the Storm, but Stuttgart also need to win to keep ahead of the pack chasers. The All-Stars have Laura Gardiner who is in ridiculous form, and if Charlotte Thomas can find her best, watch out. Ella Heads and Lily Mithen can put up some big numbers for the Storm.

    Lagos Royals (2nd, 4-0) vs. Majorca Islanders (3rd, 3-1)

No Bonnie, but the Royals were still Toogood last week, putting out a league-high 1037 points to knock off the Storm who had the fourth highest score of the weekend. The Islanders will be buying a lottery ticket after their one-point win over the Kickers, but the four points are all that are needed to keep clear of the mid-table log-jam. They'll need to pick up the pace if they are to knock off the unbeaten Royals though. The Islanders are still missing some key players, so a lot will fall on the likes of Ella Roberts and Tyanna Smith. Chloe Molloy, Kiara Bowers and Matilda Scholz are all having big years for the Royals.

Mid: Georgie Prespakis, Ellie Blackburn, Jasmine Fleming, Grace Belloni (Orla O'Dwyer)
    Ruc: Tahlia Hickie (Lauren Pearce)

DEF: Elisabeth Georgostathis, Chelsea Biddell, Shelley Heath (Lulu Pullar)
MID: Anne Hatchard, Keeley Sherar, Madison Prespakis, Ruby Tripodi (Isabelle Dawes)
    RUC: Stephanie Wales (Sarah Lakay)
FWD: Eloise Jones, Abbygail Bushby, Zali Friswell (Heidi Woodley)
INT: Zippy Fish, Madison Newman (Catherine Svarc)

Ruby Tripodi comes on field, stepping into a gap freed up by the injured Abbie Mckay. Mckay has had a solid year before her injury and Tripodi has been pushing for selection with some big scores in the past weeks.

    Lagos Royals Round 5:

DEF: Libby Birch, Jade Ellenger, Cambridge McCormick (Serene Watson)
MID: Kiara Bowers, Aishling McCarthy, Georgia Patrikios, Kate Hore (Sophie Conway)
    RUC: Matilda Scholz (Fleur Davies)
FWD: Chloe Molloy, Tarni Evans, Bonnie Toogood (Tahlia Randall)
INT: Jaide Britton, Isabelle Pritchard (Ellie McKenzie)

Others: Maddy Guerin, Shineah Goody, Mikayla Williamson

    IN: Toogood, Britton, Conway
    OUT: Randall, McKenzie, Guerin

Think Toogood vs Saints will have more changes compared to Randall vs Lions. Tough to leave McKenzie out but that hamstring question mark might mean limited minutes or late out, and Britton has been putting up similar numbers anyway. Conway off a 96 is emergency over Guerin who has been struggling.
