With the Round of 16 done and dusted 4 of the top 6 ORFFW teams have qualified for the intercomp Quarter Finals and will take on 4 of the top 6 teams from the Premier League in some epic matchups scheduled across AFLW Round 4:-

Majorca Islanders (2-1 WWL, 3rd) TTH vs Glenbrook Galahs (3-0 WWW, 1st) @ver_redit_optatum
After dispatching the 2024 FW champs on the road in the Round of 16 the Islanders have now earned a home game against the hot faves for the 2025 ORFFW title. TTH and VRO have had a friendly rivalry within the ORRFW but this match will be for the highest stakes with the winner earning a spot in the Knockout Semi Finals.

Lake St Clair Devils (2-1 WLW, 6th) @dmandrews vs Vancouver Vultures (1-2 LLW, 6th) @Athos123
The Devils coach welcomes their former (2021-2022A) GWFFPL club and coaching successor to the Devils Den. LSC use their cold home climate to their advantage but it won't phase the Canadian opposition in this QF matchup.

    Bathurst Belles (2-1 LWW, 5th) @Len vs Lagos Royals (3-0 WWW, 2nd) @Peter W
The Royals won the interclub round of 16 match and @Peter W can now focus on a Belles side that has built steadily over several seasons and shown it can win the close ones after a single figure victory over the Dynamos in the round of 16.

    Quebec Caribou (3-0 WWW, 1st) @FreeKickLiam vs Junee Jets (3-0 WWW, 2nd) @Chloe
The Jets coach also runs the Kickers in the GWFFPL and will be well versed on their opposition as they plan a smash and grab against the highest scoring keeper league side in women's fantasy football with the Caribou being the perfect example of how to do an expansion side right.

FYI that the fixtures for the Semi Finals and Finals will be drawn and announced after AFLW Round 4 has concluded and intercomp Quarter Final scores are tallied.

With the Quarter Finals done and dusted the Semi Finals to be across AFLW Round 5, are as follows:-

    Glenbrook Galahs (4-0 WWWW, 1st) @ver_redit_optatum vs Vancouver Vultures (1-3 LLWL, 7th) @Athos123
The Galahs have beaten the Storm and Islanders comfortably in Rounds 3 and 4, while the Vultures have been victorious against the Mystix and Devils to make a deep cup run despite a slow start to their league campaign. The Battle of the Birds will decide the first participant in this year's knockout Grand Final and both teams will be throwing the kitchen sink at each other in their efforts to make the Big Dance.

    Lagos Royals (4-0 WWWW, 2nd) @Peter W vs Quebec Caribou (4-0 WWWW, 1st) @FreeKickLiam
The first league derby in this competition's 3 week history sees the runaway leaders of the Premier League facing off for the first time this season. The Royals have dispatched the Blazers and the Belles in impressive fashion across the first fortnight, while the Caribou have seen off the Wood Nymphs and the Jets to reach the penultimate week of the competition. This knockout match will be a high scoring contest with all 26 players under pressure throughout what shapes as a fantasy football classic.

Wales is indeed pushing her way into the team, and the coach has finally noticed that Dupuy has been up and about in the seconds.
Pending teams the Galahs line up as:
DEF: Niamh McLauglin, Erika O'Shea, Cambridge McCormick (Sarah Verrier)
MID: Georgia Nanscawen, Britt Bonnici, Georgia Patrikios, Ellie Blackburn (Grace Kelly)
FWD: Montana Ham, Zarlie Goldsworthy, Imogen Barnett (Ashleigh Richards)
    RUC: Steph Wales (Poppy Kelly)
IC: Jacqui Dupuy, Orla O'Dwyer (Courtney Murphy)

DEF: Elisabeth Georgostathis, Chelsea Biddell, Shelley Heath (Lulu Pullar)
MID: Anne Hatchard, Keeley Sherar, Madison Prespakis, Ruby Tripodi (Isabelle Dawes)
    RUC: Stephanie Wales (Sarah Lakay)
FWD: Eloise Jones, Abbygail Bushby, Zali Friswell (Heidi Woodley)
INT: Zippy Fish, Madison Newman (Catherine Svarc)

Ruby Tripodi comes on field, stepping into a gap freed up by the injured Abbie Mckay. Mckay has had a solid year before her injury and Tripodi has been pushing for selection with some big scores in the past weeks.

    Lagos Royals Round 5:

DEF: Libby Birch, Jade Ellenger, Cambridge McCormick (Serene Watson)
MID: Kiara Bowers, Aishling McCarthy, Georgia Patrikios, Kate Hore (Sophie Conway)
    RUC: Matilda Scholz (Fleur Davies)
FWD: Chloe Molloy, Tarni Evans, Bonnie Toogood (Tahlia Randall)
INT: Jaide Britton, Isabelle Pritchard (Ellie McKenzie)

Others: Maddy Guerin, Shineah Goody, Mikayla Williamson

    IN: Toogood, Britton, Conway
    OUT: Randall, McKenzie, Guerin

Think Toogood vs Saints will have more changes compared to Randall vs Lions. Tough to leave McKenzie out but that hamstring question mark might mean limited minutes or late out, and Britton has been putting up similar numbers anyway. Conway off a 96 is emergency over Guerin who has been struggling.

    Int: Dowrick, Fitzpatrick (Kennedy)
