    It is AFLW round 12 which means our Premier League season culminates with the 2025 Grand Final

    The undefeated 2025 Minor Premiers and reigning Premier League Champs the Caribou @FreeKickLiam faces the 9W 1L #1 challengers the Royals @Peter W in a Grand Final for the ages.

    These sides have clashed 3 times previously in the past 2 seasons. The Caribou savaged the Royals 1025-825 in Rd5 of 2024 in a year that went pear-shaped for the African side but the 2 clashes so far 2025 show the 2 sides are very evenly matched.

    In Round 5 of this season the 2 sides met in a preliminary final of the Too Serious Intercomp Knockout with the Caribou prevailing 1060-1026 before taking out the Knockout title the following round.

    In Round 8 of this season the 2 sides met in the Premier League with matching 7-0 records in a head to head shootout for the minor premiership, with the Caribou falling in by 11 points (994-983).

    After both sides had round 10 off they hit the scoreboard hard in their respective preliminary finals

    The Caribou dispatched the Storm with a comprehensive 1093-832 victory.

    The Royals tense match with the Dynamos saw them sweat right to the finish with a 1068-1035 nailbiting victory

    The Grand Final build up will be huge with a number of top tier fantasy players looking to prove their fitness for the big game and give the respective selection committees headaches galore prior to the Friday night lockout.

    Good luck to both sides

    With the Grand Final sides gearing up for the big one I would like to propose a 2025 Premier League All Stars match for the remaining 8 sides.

    We have voted to field Premier League Style (13 a side with 5 emergencies, 1 per line) lineups and from the Royals and Caribou are ineligible due to their teams being in the Grand Final.

    In order to separate Gardiner (All Stars) and Marinoff (Dynamos) and end up with mathematically even sides the proposed alignments are

    Team Supreme ==> Dynamos, Vultures, Kruisers and Llamas
    @WillH_VI @Athos123 @FreoDockers @hoschke118

    Team Extreme ==> Storm, Islanders, Kickers and All Stars
    @Jono Steven TTH @Chloe @Corza

    These things generally work best when someone steps up to coordinate each side, so feel free to nominate in this thread or via pm

    Team Captains are to decide an agreed Team name for the All Star Clash (or keep the current one).

    Team Captains then need to select the best possible lineup for the side with at least 3 players per team in 16 a side or 2 players per team in 13 a side, getting input from the other 3 coaches is encouraged. Final teams are to be submitted by 3pm Halloween Friday 31st October.

    I won't be a captain but will set up a team chat on Too Serious shortly for my side and hopefully the coaches on the other side can do the same early in the week.

    Cheers
    TTH

    INT: Sophie Conway, Maddy Guerin [81] (Shineah Goody)

    Honestly I'll take 195 points for Garner + Riddell, was fully preparing for 250+. Long way to go though. Thankfully Guerin had a big Q4 because she was looking shaky before that.

    Both of us have lost out 10 points through emergencies thus far so balances out. Only McLaughlin coming in the next game.

    Swans and Bombers underway. Quebec have McEvoy and Kennedy. Lagos have Toogood, so will mean we'll both be at 6/6 after this game.

    Quebec back on top after that big game from Kennedy.

    Geelong vs Dees huge in contest. Quebec has Morrison, Hanks, Moloney and Zanker so will build a huge lead, while Lagos has Hore. Lagos has a stronger finish with more players tomorrow, but Quebec can put it beyond doubt with some huge scores.

    Big gap now, Quebec looking too good, will need some huge games from Bowers/McCarthy and co. Hopefully an exciting final day.

    So just as a quick FYI, I think there have been a stack of score updates for the games yesterday, so some of the scores are quite different to what they were at the final whistle
