All three Lake St Clair Devils mid-season draftees are making their club debut, Shannon Campbell in the defender three position along with forward Lila Keck, and midfielder Rylie Wilcox on the interchange. The three Devils omitted are defender duo Molly O’Hehir and Sarah Allan along with midfielder Lily Mithen. Over the first five rounds of the ORFFW season Vivonne Bay have been the best offensive team in the ORFFW, averaging a league-high 968.4 points per game and Lake St Clair are the number one defensive team in the comp, conceding 799.6 points per game. The Devils rank fourth for points for with 876.8 points per game and are one of six teams with a record of three wins and two losses. The Valkeries have five midfielders ranked in the top 24 mid eligible players in the ORFFW – Olivia Purcell (5th - average of 110 in 2026), Tyla Hanks (11th - 99), Georgie Prespakis (13th -97), Gabby Newton (18th - 94) and Tanya Kennedy (24th – 89 from a small sample size of two games). VBV’s exceptional midfield is a major factor in them being undefeated and the premiership favourites. Lake St Clair have the number one ranked mid for this contest, their captain Jasmine Garner who ranks third in the ORFFW with 120 points per game. LSC’s second ranked player in 2026, fellow midfielder Monique Conti (110) is out for the third consecutive week with an Achilles injury. Three Devils that play in the middle of the ground rank in the top eight of the ORFFW for points per game With Garner (3rd) and Conti (6th) being joined in this category by ruck Lucy Wales (8th – 107). The Round 6 Valkeries home game against LSC will see the two best rucks in the comp doing battle against each other with number two ranked Matilda Scholz (101) playing for the home Valkeries opposed to number one ranked Wales, they are the only two rucks in the ORFFW averaging 85+ points per game. 21 year old Schultz and 23 year old Wales are well placed to be in the best handful of rucks in the ORFFW for many years ahead. Whilst the Devils have the number ranked mid for the round 6 game VBV have the mids ranked second to sixth. The performance of the players filling the M2 and M3 positions on the team sheet for the Devils in Claudia Whitfort (80) and pre-season recruit Isabella Lewis (73) will be critical for the Devils to challenge Vivonne Bay.
