There will be plenty of rookies from the first bye group in your team so it isn't that necessary to get many premiums from the first bye group.

MPP isn't really that useful for bye rounds, unless you have a spare bench spot that you can swing a player into it isn't really that important.
I reckon the 2-0-6 mid strategy could definently work but I don't think the permacaptain strategy could work.
You could also get premiums at very cheap prices thereby saving you money/trades.
