Ive just had a look at promotion & relegation situations for the 4 leagues. All of this is subject to the exemptions of course. Premier: 3 teams relegated are pretty much set in stone @ddsaints @bgt2110 & @headmandude Div 1: @crossy & @nicksnow look like they'll be promoted. there are several teams in contention for the other promotion. @That KI Guy & @Don_Cottagers & @Hulkalicious all should be relagated. There are several others in contention for the remaining 2 relagations. Div 2: @Jet & @Jmulldihno have both pretty much locked in promotion. As well as 3 others yet to be decided.
Hey Ant, How does the seeding work for the playoffs? Am I a correct in thinking that each of the winners of the 2 conferences get a first round bye?
Rumour doing the rounds of a 3pm press conference, word is either season on hold or empty stadiums, may well be bullshit though as I've seen nothing resembling reliable sources
NBA down, NHL down. Series A down, La Liga down. Can't imagine that Premier League will be far behind with Arteta being diagnosed yesterday. Seems like it's a matter of when, not if, the AFL draw a line through this season :/ At least, delay it a month or two...
Darn well hope we get through round 2 first before anything happens - already paid for flights etc to go over to Adelaide for the Showdown
Any chance of a refund if it doesn't go ahead? Cause honestly, I don't see anyway atm that they allow crowds to watch. GP crowds were cancelled today, before the GP actually was.
Hey folks, Good news the AFL season is going ahead Weve still got spots left in the two NBA SC leagues: TS NBA Crew (895677) TS NBA crew 2 (508115) join up to them if you can
Hey, people probably noticed already, but I thought I should share that ESPN are extending the dates of the matchup which was in progress at the time of the shutdown, so if the NBA starts back up, then we should be able to continue where we left off. If the NBA doesnt start back up, I'm not yet sure what to do about promotions and relegations, because there were still a lot to be determined in the last few weeks, but we can work out something once we know where we stand.
Unofficial dates for return of NBA (from here): Training Camp: June 20 - July 10 5 Regular Season Games: July 15-23 1st Round: July 25 - Aug 7 2nd Round: Aug 8 - Aug 21 Conference Finals: Aug 22 - Sep 5 Finals: Sep 7 - Sep 20 NBA Draft: Sep 25 Free Agency: Oct 1
Cheers for the post mate. I think it may be unlikely that teams that cannot make playoffs come back for just 5 games though. I think personally that the season will go directly to playoffs, however, that is just my best guess. Ant, if this is the case, any idea what will happen regarding promotions/relegations? Asking for a friend
Hey mate, Im still not sure. It's been confirmed now that ESPN will not be proceeding with fantasy bball for this season https://www.espn.com.au/fantasy/bas...asy-basketball-update-2019-20-season-complete So, we'll have to work something out for the promotions and relegations for this season. I'll have a think and come back here to discuss
I think we have two options. Forget the season was played and everyone stay in the same leagues next season. Or Use the final rankings at the end of the minor round to determine the promotion and relegations for each league.
Cheers mate, yeah it is not ideal to have the season cut short, but hopefully as we were midway through semi finals something reasonable can be worked out, thanks for your answer Ant and Steve
And I might add, I was on my way to 3 straight playoff wins to stave off elimination I won’t argue the umpires decision though.
