Quote from Philbya01 on March 20, 2012, 00:09 I have 500k to spend on a forward Zaha, N Roo, Hurley, Steele SB, Gray or Ballantyne?
Gray and Steele way ahead of the rest, and probably in that order. Balla and Zaha probably about even. Then NRoo. I love Hurley to death, but not for fantasy. Have a look at Collingwood's missing players to decide whether you think this will affect his scoring for better or worse.
Brad Green? Consistent 90+ scorer over the years until burdened with captaincy last year and played predominantly forward. Obviously noone is keen. Is it age? Is his ceiling too low? No room in the midfield any more?
You bring up dark memories from last year Tylo. Never again! Question I'm musing over about Buddy - those who don't have him, what do they see as the minimum drop in price for not getting him to be worth it? $50k? $100k?
Tylo - IMO there are far better options in the forward line this year! Even around that price range, for similar money you could get dangerfield, or if you wanted a roughy you could get David Hale, I would expect them both to outscore Green this year. And yes, it is his age, low ceiling, low floor, no room for him to rotate in the middle and the introduction of Clark up forward.
Fair enough. I'm thinking(hoping) the introduction of Clark and departure of Scully might see a return to the midfield and a more free-wheeling role for Green. Anyone noticed where he's been playing thru nab? On Buddy, I seriously considered not starting him on the basis he can go thru flat spots. But I'm finding it hard to pick keepers in the fwds with any confidence and you can be pretty sure he'll be top 7 come end of year. Its hurting me to start him cause I prefer to look for value but there is big doubts on just about everyone else imo.
I'm trying to determine the last tweak to my side and could use some help, either A.Goodes & P.Dangerfield/J.Rewoldt or D.Martin & T.Cloke/R.Gray? Any suggestions?
Sorry I shouldn't have said it the way I did. What I meant to say was which of the following combinations should I pick (A.Goodes/P.Dangerfield or A.Goodes/J.Rewoldt) or (D.Martin/T.Cloke or D.Martin/R.Gray)? As my forward line currently looks like this L.Franklin N.Fyfe J.Porplyzia D.Smith T.Dickson ? ? (Z.Skinner N. Wilson)
EzE96 - Martin and Gray for me. With the Porpoise already in your team, you don't want to double up on Crows with Danger as well. Second preference would be the Martin/Cloke combo.
4 rokie forward line plus porpis = suicide IMO Goodes/Danger are the best combo you have come up with

Quote from Moblets on March 22, 2012, 23:57 4 rokie forward line plus porpis = suicide IMO
Should we add more rookies, mid-pricers or premiums? Or remove Porps? I'm not sure which will kill me faster.
I've gone with Buddy, Fyfe, Chapman, Gray, Danger, Porpis, Smith, Pfiffer, Kennedy. So basically a 5.1.3 if you include Gray and Danger as premiums which I think hey will be by end of the year if not now. I'm considering getting rid of Porpis for Dickson to free up some cash to upgrade a defender mid. Other tough decision I had was Chapman or Martin. I have decided to look at Martin as an upgrade given their tough early run.

I also have Dusty, rather than Chappy.
