Boak definitely not, there are more premium guys ahead of him in the mids. Gray is borderline, and maybe a nice POD but cant see myself picking him ahead of Franklin, Pav, Fyfe, Petrie, Chappy etc. Depends on price I guess, if he is tastily priced and can score 95+ might be good value. The big question for me next year will be to ROO or not to ROO?
Boak could be good in a couple of years. Only 23 now and would be much better with a stronger Port Adelaide team.
Thunda what do you think Jack Stevens chances are of staying a fwd/mid mpp? I would consider him in my forward line but definitely not in my midfield.
<blockquote>Quote from whips on November 16, 2011, 15:58 For those using end of 2011 scoring as a form reference for 2012 (and it seems a few are), below is the top 20 whose Round 15-24 averages showed the greatest uplift compared to their full season average. I hope this presents well enough to read. To qualify, must have played 8 games to Rd 14 and 6 games after that. On Hawkins, come on we've all given him curry over the years for his poor performances but credit where due, he dominated in the finals.
Another cheap backliner I was thinking of getting was Daniel Connors. 2012 price: $211,000 2010 average: 85.57 Age: 23
Davis not the worst, depending on the rookie talent and injury players that are available in defence. I'd probably ignore Connors even though he does have past form, I think he will struggle with Hardwick's direction over the club. Hardwick is trying to turn the list over, so not sure where Connors fits. He should given there are probably bigger spuds getting a game. I'm also not sure how much the issue is injury and how much being off field dramas.
Is anyone going to pick any Power players? Not one of them did squat last year and I don't see this changing anytime soon... Anyone disagree?
Are you including rookies in that martyg? I'm very interested to see who Port picks up with pick 6. They could get some serious game time.
Good point Matty.... They will be looking at rebuilding but I cant see them getting much ball. Could be some good bench players/cash cows...
I'd be interested in seeing how the few games Butcher played changes his value. Looks a readymade quality player, not necessarily a good scorer in a bad team. If he'd been traded to Carlton, he'd have been in everyone's team.
I think Butcher's start price for 2012 will be stuffed because of the couple of games he played at the end of 2011. Otherwise I would have jumped on.
Hi Guys, there will be plenty of rookies getting game time for GWS this year. Has anyone seen or heard any names that we should keep an eye on in the pre-season? Will Israel Folou be another K.Hunt? No need for info on tomorrows draftees (whom i'm sure we'll read all about on thursday night/friday). I haven't heard much about the guys that have been playing for GWS this year.
